The World’s Best Garden Center? Ozaki Flower Park - A Massive Plant Store in Tokyo 🇯🇵

- Опубликовано: 23 июл 2024
- This is Ozaki Flower Park, Tokyo’s largest garden center located in Musashiseki, in the outskirt of Tokyo. With over 60 years history, this family business showcases over one hundred thousand varieties of plants throughout the year.
In this tour, I show you their entire spring selections, share plant IDs whenever I can and my experience growing some of them. I also reveal prices in case you are curious to know how they fare compared to your region in the world. You will find that their plants were in immaculate conditions and styled to impress and inspire. At times, I thought I had mistakenly entered a botanical garden.
We are first greeted by cheerful blooms that has burst into life at the first sign of spring. Then, we visit their aquatic section to discover interesting ways to integrate ornamental plants. We then explored their ornamental and exotic plants section, chancing upon gorgeous Nepenthes, African Violets, Cactii, Succulents, Caudiciforms, Hoyas, Dischidias, Platycerium, Tillandsia, Indoor trees, Bonsai, and more.

Weekends are not the same without your videos. The curved trunk of the rubber trees were so unique and beautiful! I have never seen a euphorbia tithymaloides with that vibrant pink color - so pretty!

Loved this plant tour and the pacing was just perfect. Thank you! This is very different to a British garden centre, so I mostly have to find cuttings online. It’s so nice to see such a beautiful place.

Happy holidays in Japan...Sean!
Thank you ❤️❤️
Im a huge fan of this video, i like the format of visiting such massive sized nurserys. But seeing how the regional plant culture drives the stock and prices. Please do more of these great work. And thanks to your dad for his support for the channel!
Thank youuu ❤️❤️
This was absolutely beautiful location. We thank you so much for sharing this experience with us. My mother stopped in her tracks and forgot what she was doing when she saw all the array of plants. She has many of these herself and was amazed the diff varieties.
Thank youu. Its cool that you are close with your mom ❤️
i just got back from tokyo and i'm bummed that i didn't know about this place (i keep both fish and plants). thank you for covering it

Love from India 💙 for your support family 💙💙🪴🪴☘️🌷🌷
Thank youuu ❤️ this is so warm
A Garden Center paradise with an incredible choice of plants!!! I recognised a lot of temperate climate plants in addition to the tropical plants, but its always a pleasure to see how japanese gardeners manage the plants to bring them in beautiful and dramatic shapes ❤I noticed also a changing in France: now we may find much more tropical plants than before (Strelitzia, uncommon philos, heliconias) : a post-covid effect? positive to me!❤Thanks very much for your beautiful video !!!
thank you ❤️❤️
Thank you for video and mentioning the zoom feature 😅❤️🙏🏼 Lil girls Christmas 🙈
Cheers 😀
alot of beutiful plant ❤
Thank you ❤️
I for one am so grateful to see the outdoor plants, as I have evolved in my plant love to be mostly focussed on outdoor plants now. Thank you! Also, I have been missing your vids, it seems you only post every other week now? But I'm glad if it is helping you recoup some much-needed time for yourself. But I never get enough of your videos! ^^
Hello, yes if you see my recent videos, they are much much harder to edit and longer run times. It does take 2 weeks to edit them
Thank you so much, very interesting, and impressed with Japanese precision😅
😀😀
Thanks for the tour with you of this great garden center - so well organized and the plants look so healthy! ..at 31:06 the curly leafed tree looks like a ficus benjamina.
Thank you
Sangat variatif tanamannya. Indahhhh. Terimakasih kak sean 👍👍❤🙌
Sama sama kak ❤️
Thank you for such a nice relaxing tour. The plant at 35:23 was relay stunning. ❤
Thank you ❤️❤️
Wonderful video. I only hope one day I can see the Ozaki Flower store with my own eyes.
They have been around for generations! It will wait for us Im sure 😀
Wow!!! Loved this video! My bank account does not. Love your cute Dad!!! 💚💚💚
Thank you ❤️❤️
I'd go broke if I lived there 😅😅😅😅
Ozaki Flower Park is one of a kind!! Another amazing video, Sean, and thanks to you and your family.
I think some of the plant prices are better there than in the US.
Thank you ❤️
I'm a Japanese living in Tokyo and I love Ozaki Flower Park too.
Cool! 😀 i would visit every season too if I lived in Tokyo
Wow..if only my grandma can go there..❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much xxx
You’re welcome ❤️
очень интересная прогулка получилась
Thank you ❤️
Thank you for the tour Sean. I always learn plenty of stuff (from plant id's to growing ideas/inspo) from watching your videos. I wanna be on that level where I can put my aglaonemas on a glass shelf... Lololol. Charot! Just kidding.
😅😅
excellent
Thank you ❤️
Wow those fake plants are really beautiful, they look so real!
That Epipremnum you were wondering what it is, looks like a Shangri-La variegated, they naturally curl and look a bit sick
Bless you Sean’s dad ❤
😀😀
Very very, really really, many many
🥰🥰🥰
Thank you 😊
❤️❤️
I have been to this shop! Many plants were reasonably priced.
Yeahh considering the quality they come in
Congratulations for this video. If you will come to Greece you will see many olive trees and you will taste the olives fruits and oil.
Whoaaa I can imagine them being very common in Greece. They are actually very expensive in asia. And many people kill them 🫣
Essas lojas são muito inspiradoras....
Thank you ❤️❤️
Hello Sean. I love this kind of video. Not only aroids. I am italian from Milan. I Hope someday you came in my country and make videos about ours park and ours nature
Thank you, I would love to travel further to learn more to share ❤️ hopefully these opportunities open up
Hi Sean😌🙌I live in Japan and grow Calatheas in my home. My Calatheas are over 6 years old and thrive. I grow orchids, tillandsias and cacti too. Cacti on my balcony with orchids too, and Hoyas indoors. My favourite Japane store is malaika bazaar. I bought most of my Hoyas there. I enjoyed watching😌🙏💖I haven't been to that store you visited, but I will go sometime.
Ive saved it in my bucket list. Seems far from tokyo though! 😀
So interesting, as always. The houseplants were very similar to what we have in the US but the way they were grown wasn't. I had never even imagined a curving rubber tree. What was up with the aglaeonemas, some so much more expensive and some like the kind I almost bought yesterday in the supermarket? There must be rare ones. Thanks for another great travelogue with a houseplant emphasis.
Yeah its interesting to see how the same plants are interpreted differently across regions 😀
Thanks! The plant that you didn’t know but looked like a Hoya compacta is a type of ficus. It’s a curly leaf type of ficus similar to the benjaminia.
Thank you ❤️
U have the best plant Chanel on RUclips! Can u do a similar video in indonesia at a big plantshop? 😊
Thank you ❤️❤️ theres no plant shop of decent size in Indonesia… only small growers and nurseries. The supply chain here isnt exactly established
Thank you for the nice video! It is 16km from my house but I didn’t know it 😂 I must go there asap but leaving all my credit cards at home😅HaHa.
I could learn plants and English 👍🏻
This made me smile 😀 do give it a visit when you get the chance
Kembange apik apik bro.. Nggarakno pingin mrono ae
😅😅
I believe the plant showcased at 31:12 to be Ficus benjamina 'Pandora' or 'Barok' and the shrub at 34:34 to be Pithecellobium confertum, a plant that I might have to import from Japan since I can't find it locally.
Oh yes its also called the everfresh tree. Apparently I came across it before.
I like this more subdued Sean very much.
❤️❤️ thank you
😍
❤️❤️
Omg Sean! S2VS! Hi from NYC!
🥹😀
❤❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Those arisaemas are in the Araceae family same as Amorphophallus, that why they look so similar beside the flower, they are more hardy than Amorphophallus that is mostly tropical beside konjac.😊
Yeahh maybe they are quite closely related 😀
I wish I had known earlier! I love your channel and live in Tokyo! I’d love to talk plants^^=
Cool! 😀 plant collectors in Japan are interesting. Very selective and dedicated probably due to small living spaces
This is a nice episode, but I want to inform you tree plant, the Curly leaves indoor tree is Ficus benjamina 'Pandora', and the big Heliconia you or another huge travel palm you called ,both were Strelitzia nicolai, and the plant looks like Hoya manipurensis was Schefflera emarginata.
What a great share, thank you so much for taking the time ❤️
Truly enjoyed this video.
the one that u said similar to hoya carnosa compacta is ficus benjamina barok. Same care like others in ficus family. Give it adequate light n it will thrive. Not pest prone.
Thank you this share ❤️ I will remember it forever
thats that orchid with the rootball
❤
Thank you ❤️
Great shop, glad it's not near me because they have waaaay too much plants I like😂 kidding, but it's all very tempting
Haha if theres a shop like this in Jakarta… I wouldve gone bananas
Wow is that a bare root orchid next to the nespantes? Didnt know they can grow like this...❤
Haha yes in high humidity I guess they just grow and grasp that humidity
What an amazing store! Thanks for taking us there. I'll have to visit the next time I am in Tokyo. What is the name of the white poky plants in the succulent section (36:53--37:52)?
Wooh Im not sure… they kinda look like pachypodiums but Im also pretty sure they are not
rhipsalis - jungle cactus can withstand winter in Australia, i have them outside pergola and outside is minus -5
This is really helpful. Thank you for sharing!
