@@canbolat13 Well the AMA's were literally a couple WEEKS after her masters were bought by The Men who shall NOT be named and his holding company and he wasn't gonna LET her perform/record ANY of her old songs on tv because it would be TECHNICALLY a re-recording of her old songs before she was technically ALLOWED to do so the following year... that would have meant no Love Story, I knew you were trouble, Blank space, or Shake It Off and she ONLY had Lover out at the time under her new label. So Dick Clark productions got permission from The Men who shall NOT be named to use her music for her.
I agree, Death by a Thousand Cuts live hits harder. I do listen to the album version more now, solely bc I love the drums, but Live from Paris is my favorite performance of that song.

I honestly think it sounds like she had a little cold or her voice was 'tired', if that's the right word for it 😂 She sounded wonderful...you just start to hear the tiny differences in her voice after listening to her performances so often.
Agreed. Red is an amazing, chaotic album full of passionate, big emotions. It is definitely a multi-part type thing. But it’s definitely worth this listen. ❤❤❤
Songs like The Man they empower us, Lover is the song that we Swifties want played at our weddings, and All Too Well is one of the most heartbreaking and sad songs ever, but at the same time it's an absolut masterpiece. Swifties love her and it's our rule moddle because we always have something new to learn from her, her interpretations are amazing and we can connect with her and her stories
Tiny Desk concerts always annoy me because they never give them mics that can handle belting so artists try to do songs that require it and the have to try to belt quietly or abort notes (like in the All Too Well bridge where she cuts the note) and it’s just uncomfortable to watch cause I can see them frustrated about it haha. They’ve gotten much better during the pandemic where they got to use studio mics or proper stage mics instead of those little stick ones and you can tell the difference. (Olivia Rodrigo’s is a great illustration of this difference) I think the melody changes in Lover to dodge the higher parts was a way around this issue disguised as a more toned down acoustic arrangement. When Taylor is standing with her guitar she has a chance to back off the mic and you don’t see this issue happening but when she’s sat at the piano it’s right in front of her and she’s toned way down. I’m willing to bet she regretted choosing All Too Well after the Lover performance but decided to go with it anyway since she had her little spiel already planned out for it.

Also for the all too well performance, I think she was kind of practicing on us her "sad girl autumn" version which is something that she came out with a few years later. It's the same song but sung in a different pitch and tone. Very sad sounding.
