- Here's a video with some basic stuff that everyone should be using. Most of those tips are already known but I tried to analyze them a bit more. Hope there's something new you didn't know.

It a shame that Red Alert 2 had no tips like Starcraft to let you know which key does what you want, so you should find out it youself, you know, with dial-up Internet. Also this game has no A-move which is a shame too. Зато неплохо показана Канада, в которой больше коров, чем людей.

@@hrzmann it has bro..... press ctrl + shift and select any terrain(the units will now auto attack while heading to the certain point you selected) , it will do the same as the a move in other games

U can choose separate ur units with different promotions by pressing "Y"
One click =none promoted
Double click=veteran
Triple=Elite

3:18 another useful tip: buildings can be set to teams too.
Personally, I use Ctrl+0 for WFs, Ctrl+9 for Barracks. Of course, you have to hold T and then select each new production structure then "recreate" the teams. Save trouble with rally points.
Fun fact: rally points were a thing since TS, but there you needed Alt+LMB; that meant TS could have rally points and mobile factories. RA2YR don't have that luxury, not even Mental Omega.

If I remember correctly, another way to cancel a stack quickly is to click and hold the right mouse button. Not quite as quick as the video but it's a little better
So we gonna ignore the Stealth Harriers?
What harriers?
This is not exactly useful in multiplayer matches, or at least not to my knowledge, but another cool feature regarding waypoints are patrols. You can create a minimum of 2 points before using your 3rd/last point on your 1st. They will then Attack Move from point to point and continue looping until you give orders otherwise.
Using a Chronosphere and engineers inside transport vehicle is the best way to attack your enemy especially when playing with other players
It seems like I have been playing this game for a long time and thought that she would not surprise me anymore, but the Harriers in the building yard ...
And thanks for the tip with the route markers: a blitzkrieg capture will now be more convenient.
Use of basic hotkeys definitely helps players mobilise their armies faster. This is a strategy a player must know to ace matches and become pro.

On another note, you can send Harriers/Black Eagles to Service Depots with the Alt movement??? Now that's something I should take note if I want to repair Harriers/Black Eagles quickly.
Btw, In RA3, the hotkeys are repositioned so it's easier to reach them. F is for special Abilities, Z is sell and C is repair. Space do the same thing, H is moving the camera to your MCV. A + R. Click is attack move, D + R. Click Is reverse move. So basically fitting for WASD hand position.
Waypoints are mainly used to test whether units deal the same damage.
They can also be used to have engineers/spies/C4 troops enter transports and then proceed to enter/destroy some buildings.
Select infantry far from transport. Order him to enter transport, then use Waypoint mode as you give him the order to enter/C4 the buildings you want.
As soon as the infantry exits the transport, he'll follow the waypoints. Effective way to have engis/spies/SEALs act immediately without having to select them first and then give them targets; it saves valuable time.

Some useful Tips
- build miner by building ore refinery and sell it. That way you got miner + a little bit money from selling refinery and can focus on building another tanks instead.
- Base walking. If ore or gem is too far you can build a structure like refinery next to each other ,sell previous refinery, build another one repeat until you can place ore refinery close to ore or gem . This trick also work if you want to build grand cannon next to enemy base.
- Focus on gem first. More money more armies.
Or just unpack your MCV and move to deploy again near the ore/gem field, a bit risky but faster than "base walking", unless no unpack is allowed
@@dracoiltrance7166 unpacking is actually slower since it cancels any queued up buildings.

@@dracoiltrance7166 in low eco maps like Dune Patrol and Blood Feud players online just sorta deal with it.
Also establish the "bay" of the refinery as close to the ore as possible, so if you can place the refinery north by northwest of the ore field it means your miner has less distance to cover back and forth.
Actually the N key doesn't select unit randomly, it will select the unit on top of the map

A deployed GI can kill an enemy's attack dogs sent to scout our base when facing the exact comming direction of the dog without truning around first. To adjust the pointing direction of the GI, use 'ctrl' to force shoot the ground of the predictive comming path of the ememy's attack dog, then press 's' to end the meaningless da-da-da.
I can imagine the deployed GI attacking SFX from your "da-da-da"
AFAIK, infantry turn around instantly. This tip would however be definitely useful for turreted defenses like the Gattling Cannon, Sentry Gun, Grand Cannon and any vehicle inside the Tank Bunker.
Note I didn't say Flak Turret or Patriot Missile because, in the original game, force-fire on the ground is not possible for them.

I've learned some of these by accident like the Alt Movement, Basic QWER Buttons, X (scatter) hotkey, Basic Z Tactical Waypoint (didn't know about the garrisoning one though), and the T Selection. Thanks for letting me know mate. Been playing Ra2 [YR]: Triple Power Mod for 16 years.

I experimented a lot with it before, but it turns out I didn't know many things
And the ability to set targets for units after disembarking from the transport, this is a boom dude, so many opportunities have opened up

Q select all units in screen, 2nd Q select all units you have
W select aircraft in screen, 2nd W select all air in map
select a unit and E select all the same type of unit in screen, E again in all map
s = stop unit from moving
hold Alt = plan attack
hold ctrl = attack anywhere
space = showbase if i am not mistaken
CTRL 1234567890 = put a number into a unit so when u click the number u select it "also works with buildings"

how many harriers can you hide in base buildings ?
Another use of waypoint is creating a pincer attack on the enermy's base. This become extremely useful when you want to overwhelm your opponent's defense such as tesla coil, prism tower.
This video is perhaps the most useful video of this month
Didn't notice if it was mentioned.
One more important waypoint usage: you can loop the path. It is extremely useful for patrolling territory, e.g. defending your building from spies or engineers.

CNCNet allows hotkey reconfiguration so I can change many of those hotkeys to my liking.
Nevertheless, it is always good to have the habit of setting up and using hotkeys.
i actually put the repair button to ` button (left side of 1 in laptops) since its easier specially in case someone did superweapon in my base
Got a question, will Iron curtain/force shield remain active if you have a unit deploy or undeploy? Try using it with Ares and a mod installed. C&C reloaded has units other than construction yards that can deploy.

I've a few questions about the RA3 Uprising grinder. Can a charging grinder be made to go even faster if pulled forward by M-harpoon? Can grinder charge ability be used to escape things like M-harpoon or magnetic singularity?
10:37 not all units are selected, and units you might not want to be selected are.
Subs are not selected using P, Harriers and Black Eagles are selected using P, for example.

IsSelectableCombatant has the default value of "no". Meaning that units omitting the flag (such as the Typhoon Sub and Boomer Sub) aren't selected when hitting 'P'; which just so happens to actually happen in the unmodified game.

It's me playing noobie vs 1 brutal. Back at where I can't stand against 1 brutals when I was like 8... now I'm 20 and still had trouble with the brutals ×_× awful me
Its complete opposite for me. Back when I was 7, My father taught me to fight off 7 Brutals at once (you end up losing most of your base 3 times in a row but thats okay)
Now? I can barely fight off against 3 at best.
I got no tutors back then. You'r lucky as best. Your father was a legend. Teach you to beat 7 brutals.
Now I can barely stands against 7 brutals on one condition: separate islands from others (1 island for me, 7 in other side. Not alike skirmish islands. Must find a suitable one on internet) and no SW ofc.

Unfortunately you can only add one unit.
Removing all units is by holding Shift with Right click.

Hold the right mouse button (the one you use to de-select a unit) and drag it around.
If Harriers can land on other structures, why would they need to blow themselves up when the airfield is destroyed anyway?
Is there a hotkey to select and produce multiple same units at once (just like 9:52) instead of pressing the left click for multiple times?

Unfortunately, no. You can cancel all units but not produce multiple.

10:53 Actually, that's Crush move. Its use is ordering tanks to crush infantry instead of just firing at them.
I don't think it's correct to call it a Crush move. As mentioned, it will ignore any action and will force your unit to that location. If it happens to have an enemy unit then it will crush it.

Doesn't work in RA2, AFAIK. But maybe it works with RA2's 1.006 patch. I do know that this works for YR 1.000.
