I have a turbo s 2005. The look is so agressive, perfect for the autobahn. If someone in front of the car says get out ov the way or i'll suck you in. Because of the big vents in the front. I just love it.
Oh man the rear lights are infinitely better, the old ones were too big/vague. They also upgraded some important mechanical failure points like the rubber coolant pipes, cylinder lining, etc.
It's almost better looking than the 957 but IMHO the rear lights on the 2011 ruin the look. I'll probably replace my 2008 with a borederline identical 2010 when the odometer reads over 200k just so I can skip it lol.
Nice ride and well researched buying decision! Seat comfort ( and protection) consider adding sheepskin covers to add cushion if seats are too race car like. The plastic window trim panels can be painted which might have been free during insurance repair. Fiat, add cost of insurance as offset to mileage savings going forward in determining whether to sell. Just randumb thoughts. Peace
I'm looking at one from a private party right now, haven't seen it yet, soon though - I'm on the big island of Hawaii. I need something with a strong engine and from my research, these Cayenne's can hold a LOT of miles. The one I'm looking at has 173K. I live up near Volcano and the incline is major for miles. I hope this car meets the needs - we do a lot of dog rescue work here too, so transporting lost or neglected animals is the need for this safe SUV too... Hope this works out! I plan to make an offer, he's asking $4500 - plan to offer private party KBB value good condition, with this mileage. Fingers crossed this is a good decision!
I like the gray with black wheels or black I have a black lacrosse and I keep it clean I use to a car detailer so color is no problem I am too looking for a used Cayenne base 6 cyl 09- 2012
Just a follow-up Question I want to ask you about the reliability of the car. I mean the things you needed to fix on this car during these 2 years. I am thinking of buying a 2008-2009 base model. Thanks
hey, so how is it going using this car so far? any advice, do you still think it's a good investment to purchase a 2008 made Porsche in 2019? because i am thinking to sell my Mazda CX-5 2013 for a 2008/9 Porsche Cayenne. so basically i am trading my car for a car that is 5 years behind.
I’m actually thinking of buying the exact same model with the same trim. Does the car come with Xenon hid headlight or LED? Or does it come with halogen??
Man, I think you should get a GTS instead. Full leather dashboard/door trim, suede/leather seats (better shape, not sure if better ergonomic as I have a turbo which got same seats you have)
Peter von Panda That’s good to hear. How long between oil changes? I am sure the v8 is more. I have a full size Range Rover L322 and I do a lot of the maintenance myself.
This is my 3rd cayenne. The first two were turbo models and experienced cylinder scoring. I love it so far! Although it’s not as powerful, it’s nice not having anxiety driving it. It’s the color you originally wanted (meteor grey) with only 65k miles. Love the videos!
Sorry but the 955 very first generation is the better looking for me, front and back, especially at exhaust level. I agree with the seats, difficult to find the right position.
A freshman and a junior year slump haha
The sophomore and senior year rules supreme

2011 is the beginning of the good looking styling IMO

@@funfun5656 rear led light er bether .. but you can bye plastic covers.. styling and rear lights er fixt.. ;-)
It's the end, in my opinion 😃
The VW based V6 in the base Cayenne is apparently very reliable according to Porsche mechanics…
957 cayenne best cayenne design
The left-hand starter is still the standard on Porsches, including those with keyless entry and start.

How did it pan out?
I always think the 2007 refreshed front no longer matched the rear of the vehicle, so upset the design as a whole.
I got one of these at 19 as a graduation present and so I've become so accustomed to the left hand start that normal cars feel weird

Halogens.

I noticed you were cruising down 60! I am looking at a 2008 or 2009 S for my wife. Do you still like it?
Cruising 60 to my Target! Mine has been reliable and comfortable. Oil change is like $250 though. Otherwise, No regrets!

I’m not sure how it determines it but it seems like it’s about once a year for me but I also don’t drive a ton
Good fun review...2012 Cayenne S on my short list
Congrats! Looks so clean
Do you still own it? I just bought a 2008 with the v6 for the same reasons.
Yep. Still got it! How do you like it so far?

Example feom 2006 to a 2009 2010 nose cone

Still driving! An update video is coming soon!!
im looking to buy one too
hopefully ill get it down to $9000
at 1:20 this dude is actually out here bashing my first car...
How’s the overall maintenance been?
So far, other than oil changes costing $180, and a brake job for $1000, nothing to report.
good, helpful review!
where did you buy those floor mats
Your a Kool dude, great job.
You're cool, Kevin! Glad to have you here!
I honestly think the pannamara would compare with the 2011 up cayenne
I like the panamera!
you bouth VW Toareng with Porsche badge... First original Porsche Cayenne is from 2011 mod :-)
What do you plan on doing with the GMC? It’s still a great car
It’s going away. Not sure exactly when yet. I’m taking it on at least one last road trip, but I can’t afford the insurance on multiple cars.
Nice ride
Thanks! I like it
You Crack me up.
oh no!! keep the fiat, Im waiting on the `after 10 years of owning a fiat` update
great car
1st gen is the king but 955 not 957
you good 👍🏼
Nice car broh
390hp porsche, or 270hp toyota... why is life so hard.
You did better with that SUV I just cant get behind a 4 door Porsche just my opinion
How can you afford to insure 3 cars?
Yes, get rid of the Fiat!
Because you couldn't afford a brand new one?
Yup!
