  • Is St Louis Safe to Visit? As RVers, we love visiting National Parks, but with St. Louis’ reputation of being such a dangerous city, we couldn't help but wonder, is this city really safe - at least in the tourist areas? We suggest, just like anywhere that's a big city you should keep your wits about you1. Everyone told us, don’t be out after dark. We were never approached by anyone that had bad intentions or felt uncomfortable. So we say go! Have a good time and be sure to stay smart!

Woah, that is a little crazy. Don't hear much about St Louis on the news down here in Florida. I had no idea. Happy you knew how to stay in the safer places. Those views from the top of the arch were pretty cool!

We typically just avoid large towns. The crime rate in them seems to be very bad.. This time we had things we didn't want to miss. Our suggestion would be to always do your research before you go. Thanks so much for joining us. 😊

My son-in-law is from Saint Louis. That’s where Sara and Mike met. He was always really cautious about where he went, and where he let Sara and us go in St. Louis. It’s a great place to visit, and as long as you know which exits not to take, you’re fine. We never went up into the arch. Great views and museum. The cathedral and courthouse are both gorgeous. BBQ is always a good choice in St. Louis. We always loved spending time at the zoo and the museums in the park.

We did not know this was a National Park! How cool! Where did y'all park when you went exploring in St. Louis and did you feel safe where you parked? We have never even thought of getting a National Park sticker map. Does the scratch-off poster create a mess when you scratch a park off the map? ~ Shion and Matthew

We camped at a great Boondockers Welcome. We pared our tow car at the Hyatt Regiency hotel. The guy there is one of the ones who told us to get out before dark. It was a bit pricey, but right next to the arch. We did find out that if you parked at the stadium the people at the arch would stamp your parking pass and then it would be free. We will do that if we ever go back. We felt perfectly safe 99% of the time. We love our scratch off poster. It does not make a mess at all. You can't even tell anything has fallen off. Hope you catch up with us soon and we get to go for a hike together! Thanks for watching. 😊

Only 89 degrees?…awww! You better not come to Houston then bc it was 90 (cooler than usual) today WITH 100% humidity!😂 Felt like 105 or more. The only things I ever got to see of St Louis when I was in trucking was what I could see while buzzing up I-55 going north or south! Very interesting places y’all showed us! Thanks! @@RVAmerica I live in St. Louis and I love it. The traffic here isn't actually as bad as other cities (such as Chicago) and you can get anywhere in 20-30 minutes. The crime issue is greatly over exaggerated. Yes there are issues, but it's nowhere near as bad as it's made out to be. This includes Downtown, which is suffering from the same post-pandemic issues that every city's Downtown is.
