The St. LouisBotanical Garden is my favorite destination There is a charge but it is beautiful. Cahokia Mounds Is a World Heritage Site. You did a great job highlighting St. Louis. ❤
I've lived in St. Louis, Lost Angeles, Orange County, Sacramento, Denver & Boulder, Salt Lake, Seattle-Tacoma, St. Petersburg, Chicago, and Tulsa; and I've worked in a dozen other cities across the US. Without a doubt, St. Louis is the best. Chicagoans think their city is the better of the two, and St. Louisans tend to be insecure about the comparison. Hey, Bulls and Bears, no doubt, but that's it. I live now and will retire in Summit County CO, because it has the two things that St. Louis doesn't have - mountains and a comfortable August, but St. Louis will always be home. Go Cards!
Was there from Buffalo last year! Went up the Arch, took a riverboat ride and caught a couple of Cards games. Unfortunately was not able to go to the Federal building ( closed for repairs) and time didn't allow me to visit Budweiser Brewery. I will be back!
oh my heart 💗 Yes, StL is home sweet home for me. I don't take for granted the skyline or catching sunsets/sunrises at the mounds either! And the many foods this town has to offer has a lot of pride (chefs) behind them too!
St. Louisian here! So glad you had a good time on your visit. Different websites or publications put out lists of cities that are the most dangerous in the country. Unfortunately St. Louis usually ranks high on those and has earned a bad reputation because of it. The truth is St. Louis is a great city and very underrated when it comes to tourism. If you visit again make sure to go to the Botanical Gardens. Also I'd like to say that I appreciate that you mentioned the not so great aspects of our history. It's important to acknowledge these things so that we can learn from them.

Nice overview of St. Lou. Our grandkids live there and we visit often from Boston. We love the town. A few places you didn’t get to that i highly recommend. I've lived in St Louis for 6 years now. My favorite parts are the frequent gunshots, people's inability to use a cross walk, and streams of trash on the freeways and sidewalks. But yeah I guess it has a couple decent restaurants.
Sadly many cities can say the same. Don't let some of the negatives overshadow the positives there. Nowhere is perfect! There's a lot of great things to like about St. Louis.
Some people who just visit do not realize how dangerous St. Louis is. Those places are good to visit, but you have a high chance of being a victim of violence, I know.
