The only thing preventing me from ordering one of these is that I need to remove my factory block heater as well and so I kind of want the heater element that is included with the Banks kit. I’m in Missouri, so not super cold, but in the winter my diesels start a little harder. Battery blankets and the block heater helps but the intake heater does seem to help as well. I’m also looking in to the FASS Fuel heaters which may help as well.

Order one of these, get a weldable bung that will fit a gm intake air heater. Get a shop to weld it in the intake horn and reconnect your original grid heater wire to the gm intake air heater. They are available in amazon I think for around $50
