I don't know what I am most impressed with. The truck, the terrain, or the photography. All were outstanding. The truck is definitely the star. I'm looking forward to seeing more .
It pained me to watch this truck tumble down those rocks but it really shows the durability of this rig… and I am not sure if anyone else has said anything but I can see the hard work that you put into your content and I for one love and appreciate it.. keep it up my friend
One of your best videos to date, the scenery, the new truck release and the torture test it was put to one the trail one handed too. This definitely shows the hard work in designing and engineering a new truck but also the durability of really vanquish products. Some of those tumbles had me cringe and some of the climbs amazing.
Okay Josh, I LOVE the fact that you guys named this truck after a beautiful Sierra Nevada lake. I go camping up there with my father every year in June. I love the California Easter eggs. Love the Vanquish family!
New level video! I am so happy as a classic truck body fan the details on the door, windshield and grill. So much scale potential and to add more classic touches! A builders and trail guys dream!
A pleasant mixture of an advertisement and a nice day out walking in the outdoors. I do also believe I have some understand the personal enjoyment of completing the task you set yourself to climb that trail under the “ rules “ you self imposed on the day. A great video, thank you and your partner for the effort required in filming.
Thanks Josh for throwing your creativity behind this project. While your main focus may be mostly on rc, your ethics, passion, consistency and the time you take to explain the details of the hobby are a great example for other industries. You have a gift and you are giving it everything. I watch all your content except the 1 to 2 hour plus stuff(only because I don’t get those kind of windows of time). My favourite segment of your is the scale news update. I’m building up slowly in the rc hobby myself and it is fun and greatly enriches my life. So much to learn.
Absolutely fantastic! I started the video on my phone at lunch. Waited to get home to watch it in the big screen with the wife. Great video and very impressive RTR rig. ❤👏👏👍👍
That's one of my favorite trails, you should try the lower lock Haven hiking trail in Cisco grove. That's 8 miles of non stop crawling. Awesome truck that vanquish makes.
Dang. Why didn’t I see this video earlier?! Can’t believed I missed it. Ended up buying a scx10.3 BC builders kit and got it decently decked out with good electronics. Would have saved a ton of money if I got this rtr instead and could have taken my time with upgrades. This or the redcat ascent fusion will be my next rig I go for, for sure! Great video and love the scenery! And that little fordyce accomplished a very impressive feat with you manning the wheel one handed for sure 👍🏻.
I've put 9 of your trucks together now. Trying to recommend an RTR for a buddy. Quick question, where are your trucks being assembled? This still matters to some people, number one reason I like your trucks is that they are made in the US.
This was an impressive video that truck looks great. Being is shares the VFD from the vs-410 pro I think the first thing I will do to mine is the rear portal swap. I seen many spots in this video that the rear portal would have helped out in a big way for the performance of this truck. The pro chassis with a rear portal axle is my all time favorite build I can’t this one being bad with that mod done to it.
A great release and something that was needed to fill the gap in the Phoenix RTR line. Might have to add one to the fleet this Christmas. Can't wait for a clear version of that body to be available!
I absolutely loved the trail footage. I did something similar in Ireland with the trail that climbs the Dublin Mountains in Ticknock, without touching the car, up and down. And yes, it ended up being a whole new level of RC experience.
What an awesome little truck the beating that it literally took I don't think there's another RTR that could do that with exception of maybe the Phoenix. Amazing work guys
I have been on the fence in regard to purchasing a Vanquish rig. Am surprised Vanquish has not and have been waiting for a vehicle offered with a "mullet" setup. I have faith you will make this happen Josh 😉. When it does I will hop off the fence for sure.
Once again, it’s a fantastic looking as well as performing truck. I love the will-us vibe looking body as well as keeping the standard vanquish lighting on it bringing it into modern times. Job well done!
Patina! Looks like a great release. I was going to build a straight axle Phoenix as my winter project. Might still do that, as I prefer to Yota cab. But if this comes in a kit someday it looks like it has possibilities.
Awesome video! So you said it has the standard VFD transmission, does that mean Amain has a mistake? From their page: “Boasting the sought-after VFD Twin transmission and F10 Straight Axles”
Excellent video Josh. Yes, you certainly took the challenging lines up Catfish. Love my past Catfish runs with the Donner Party Crawler peps. Both my Pro and Phoenix have made it; but, that was always with a touch or two...and many body scrapes. LOL
At first I was like dam that’s a lot of money for a crawl rig; but after watching it tumble down the mountain time after time again, I’m really impressed
What a great video! You highlighted the scenery and the capabilities of that little crawler extremely well. How many scale miles do you think the Fordyce traveled during that trek?
Thats a great question. It was probably only a couple miles of terrain, but it was technical and trying the whole way! It definitely put some battle scars on the truck!
I said I would never buy another RTR, but that was before Vanquish got into the game. The 3 Amigos in my garage, ( VS4-10 Ultra, VS4-10 Phoenix Ground Fox, VRD Pro) may have to make room for a new little buddy in 2024. Love the look of this one also, Vanquish really expanded its reach this year, well done. What an incredible trail, California is a truly amazing state for geographical diversity.
@jayf2487 No I bought a set of HD44 axles and using a Phoenix kit I had, built a 2023 SEMA FJ "Bruiser" inspired replica, or as close as I could get. Just needs paint and Body work, got injured in September and it put me off work and play for last 3 months.
@@GrimJerr that’s awesome man! I was just curious since you mentioned you had all those trucks. I have a trx4 sport and a vanquish vrd carbon pro with a bunch of nice stuff on it. I can’t even imagine much more performance out of a rig then my vrd haha but I’ve always wanted an ultra or a pro to have a vs410 so was thinking the fordyce since the ultra and pro are crazy expensive
Great video concept and execution, not to mention great driving. Will this be offered as a kit at some point? I’ve managed to avoid RTR’s thus far as I like the building process. Thanks and congrats on what looks to be another great Vanquish rig!
Hey Josh,my name is David Peterson just got my first Vanquish the Fordyce and I'm loving it but after 2 batteries run through it(less than 2000mah) and 2 of the shocks are leaking from the bottom orings, should I pull apart and reseal and see what happens or do I need to replace the orings
Cool truck, cool trail.😎 Would love to see a trail buggy version instead of another vintage truck body, but at least it resembles the Willys trucks you do sometimes see on the 1/1 trails.
Well. This is the next truck that I'll be adding to the Blind Guy RC garage. I am loving this. Great work to everyone over at vanquish. Very cool video man. You should do more like this. That said the style you have been doing is awesome. Longer more in depth videos. Super cool area to. I really need to get a 3d printer hahahaha. 😎👍👍
I don't know what I am most impressed with. The truck, the terrain, or the photography. All were outstanding. The truck is definitely the star. I'm looking forward to seeing more .
You gave that such a beating! I'm calling RC Protective Services on you RIGHT now! Looks pretty impressive out of the box
It pained me to watch this truck tumble down those rocks but it really shows the durability of this rig… and I am not sure if anyone else has said anything but I can see the hard work that you put into your content and I for one love and appreciate it.. keep it up my friend
I’m glad I’m not the only weirdo to do these kinds of trail runs
One of your best videos to date, the scenery, the new truck release and the torture test it was put to one the trail one handed too. This definitely shows the hard work in designing and engineering a new truck but also the durability of really vanquish products. Some of those tumbles had me cringe and some of the climbs amazing.
This has to be the most impressive RTR I have ever seen.
Okay Josh, I LOVE the fact that you guys named this truck after a beautiful Sierra Nevada lake. I go camping up there with my father every year in June. I love the California Easter eggs. Love the Vanquish family!

Amazing work on the truck! I can tell why it’s your favorite as it drives fantastic! 🙌🏼👍🏼👍🏼😁
One of your best vids yet! Awesome scenery, great music, filming and commentary 👌

I do also believe I have some understand the personal enjoyment of completing the task you set yourself to climb that trail under the “ rules “ you self imposed on the day. Your half mile looked a lot tougher than my 12 miles! Great job Josh, finally had some time to watch this one.
Killer video! Love me some running footage. New rig looks good. I like the simplified VFD and straights on this one

Oh those tires get stuck twisted because the foams are to narrow and turn inside the tire!! A set of wider foams clears this issue right up!
Ordered my vs10 kit straight Axle will b here Tuesday can’t wait! 🤓🔧❤️🔥
I like this format. Really shows off the truck where it’s meant to be rather than just on the bench.
Absolutely fantastic! I started the video on my phone at lunch. Waited to get home to watch it in the big screen with the wife. Great video and very impressive RTR rig. ❤👏👏👍👍

Ordered mine last night during the live stream. Really glad to see the VFD is sticking around.

Vanquish hit it out of the park on this one! I've been meaning to pick up a phoenix for a while but this one is a must have!
A great release and something that was needed to fill the gap in the Phoenix RTR line. Might have to add one to the fleet this Christmas. Can't wait for a clear version of that body to be available!
The straight axle phoenix has grown to become my favorite truck so I'm definitely looking at this new model. 👌 Nicely done
I absolutely loved the trail footage. I did something similar in Ireland with the trail that climbs the Dublin Mountains in Ticknock, without touching the car, up and down. And yes, it ended up being a whole new level of RC experience.

Josh such a great job man this truck is right at home on that crawl doing it’s thang !!! Video is so good
Sweet video, you and matt both killed with these videos, you punished the crap out of it and he gave it the endurance test! Solid truck and video!
Nice video Josh. What a great way to showcase all the truck's virtues. Also nice to see Nicole out there doing the climb as well...
A challenge like this is so much more interesting than a simple trail run. Great footage and good driving!
Trying to change up review styles when possible, the regular bench stuff can be tough to stay motivated with.
I have been on the fence in regard to purchasing a Vanquish rig. Am surprised Vanquish has not and have been waiting for a vehicle offered with a "mullet" setup. I have faith you will make this happen Josh 😉. When it does I will hop off the fence for sure.

“Boasting the sought-after VFD Twin transmission and F10 Straight Axles”
The standard VFD transmission, rather than the VFD TWIN. This is the strongest option available.
I'll wait for the kit version. looks awesome!
Excellent video Josh. Yes, you certainly took the challenging lines up Catfish. Love my past Catfish runs with the Donner Party Crawler peps. Both my Pro and Phoenix have made it; but, that was always with a touch or two...and many body scrapes. LOL
Very cool video!! I’d that body going to be available separately?
At first I was like dam that’s a lot of money for a crawl rig; but after watching it tumble down the mountain time after time again, I’m really impressed
The Rear wheels look crazy. Did they slip on the beadlocks? It looks like a star ⭐️ pattern.
They always straightened back up when I stopped climbing. This whole video was on one long incline basically!
Vanquish is bringing the heat to the crawling RTR market. Now lets get a 4wheel steer model.
Awesome video. The truck looks very impressive. The spot you took it is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing and for all the info.
Josh I just ordered a new blue one through my local hobby shop never even thought to ask about the card.
Impressive! Love the new truck. Awesome display of durability and capability.
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing. The water scene at the end. Very tranquil
Your best video yet man, and my next truck. Job well done.
i need this in a basic kit with portals. i was gonna save up for a pheonix. but im saving up for one of these now lol.
I hope you guys offer this in a kit
Thanks for the running review great job on the video keep up the good work 😊
Very nice! Will they bring out a kit version?
Left rear shock is leaking bad at 1:10 . Had the same problem with the Phoenix RTR.
What do you think about the FMX Buzzsaw..
It would be good if they made a larger scale version
Looks great. Gonna have to retire my current trail truck for a Fordyce. Gonna call it the Dodgedyce 😂
Have you ever gone around the Judah loop. Super cool just across the street
Amazing. Thank you for the bonus at the end.
@@HarleyDesignsInc Now my question is: Phoenix RTR or Fordyce RTR?

Did you end up getting a fordyce?
@jayf2487 No I bought a set of HD44 axles and using a Phoenix kit I had, built a 2023 SEMA FJ "Bruiser" inspired replica, or as close as I could get. Just needs paint and Body work, got injured in September and it put me off work and play for last 3 months.

Curious what battery you used and how many swaps to complete the trail?
4300mah Gens Ace, was able to do it without a swap. So I didn’t have to touch it at all!
@@HarleyDesignsInc Thanks.
Nice to see that it’s catfish certified out of the box and that GoPro is one I printed but not sure who lost it!! Lol
Man that place is gorgeous
Love the one handed steering wheel I have your 3d printed thumb steer for my trx-6 ultimate hauler
Will the Phoenix interior fit this?
Answered in wednesday live, not directly (or possibly at all)
Very nice man. Great camera crew
I wish Vanquish wanted this and the Falken in my studio!
Incredible looking truck, also amazing location, we need stuff like that in the UK!
Would the fusion pro combo be a faster motor in this truck or is it just the gearing?
Great video concept and execution, not to mention great driving. Will this be offered as a kit at some point? I’ve managed to avoid RTR’s thus far as I like the building process. Thanks and congrats on what looks to be another great Vanquish rig!
V has a BIG winner on their hands with this release. I like the Willy’s body way better than the Phoenix. Nice work. 👍🏼
This was rad Josh! Proud of those ankles!
When will the Kit be available? I believe this will be a must have. Really love the body on this model.
No kit is planned for this one.
Really cool looking rig, took such a good beating that one of the shocks even blew up! 🔥
I love it Harley another home run brother 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Nice edits and upload man! Quality tumbles!
Super cool video and Rig! i would agree with u, That was an accomplishment👍
This is 100% awesome crawler . Great video and im watching satisfied 👍
How many battery changes did it take to make that run??
Cool truck, cool trail.😎 Would love to see a trail buggy version instead of another vintage truck body, but at least it resembles the Willys trucks you do sometimes see on the 1/1 trails.
Dang Josh! Great video and another amazing truck from Vanquish. Adding this to my next order. 👍👍👍
Will this be available as a kit?
How in the World do you find a mini printed gopro out there!? The trucks tottaly awesome the place it ran is HUGE! ❤❤❤
A good candidate for another budget build series!
Really put it it to the test here!
would you recommend an alternate foam?
Daaaang. Vanquish is putting the spank down lately. Noce job guys.
What an outstanding little truck
What a location 😲
There goes my rc budget 😂 Amazing release
So is this the crawler to get? Or whats your #1 recommendation
This is my suggestion for sure
Gotta have it! Love the standard VFD
😎👍👍
Awe man what a cool look rig!!! That is a great trail for her first run!!!! Nice!!!🤘🤘🤘
I just installed some flubber stuffers inserts front and rear, they made a big difference on my rig!!!
Awesome place to crawl. Wish I could get that rig
I can not believe the abuse that thing took! AMAZING!
Always love a good tumbling sequence...
Beautiful vid, thanks!
They going to offer this in a portal axle configuration?
Cool truck, looks great! Nice work on that. Also, nice video, wow! How long did it take you to do the hike?
Is it better than the vanquish phoenix ?
This is my personal favorite. It doesn’t have the shifting features but I prefer this setup.
what was your total milage on that run and how many packs did it take?
