Thanks for your video. However, i thought this gimbal balances itself?

It does not do so initially. With each new item of new weight, you must adjust the gimbal so it is balanced. Once that is done it will use its motors to keep it that way for that item.

Thank you for this useful präsentation, just tell us please how you deal with the camera, do you balance it with opened or closed lense and display? This causes a shift forward, like Sony ZV 1. Appreciate your comment.

Thank you! If you have it properly balanced with the lens you will use (not swapping additional lenses) it should be set to that weight. Adjusting the display orientation or opening and closing the lens I have not found it to offset the balance.
I balanced with lens closed and camera off.
Note: after you have completed the balance in my video please turn on gimbal and under settings run a calibration. Let me know if that helps. Cheers!

Brilliant tutorial this. When you take your camera off it, do you then lock the axis so it can be made flat like when it arrived, or do you have the latched unlocked when storing away?

I show the case that came with my crane a seperate unboxing video and I am not very pleased with it. It was such a snug fit you cannot place the crane back in after balancing as it will not line up correctly. I decided to use my camera bag for storage so I can keep it balanced for the main camera I use with it. I keep the latches in place and all the locks remain unlocked so it can just power up and it will be ready to go right away. If you do release the latches and adjust so you can place it in the case, like the one that came with mine, you would need to rebalance for every use, no thanks!! Cheers!!

I’m having trouble figuring out how to unlock the vertical tilt axis the manual shows turning the screw. I can’t get this one to slide. Do you lift the screw up and turn? Appreciate any help.

Hi. Have your gimbal shown as in minute 2:35. You will hold your camera so it faces up and this gives you more clearance to unscrew the screw. With the screw loose you can now slide the bracket the camera rests on toward you or away from and not up or down. Once you find the point it is balanced with the camera facing up you can tighten the screw again.
