As long as these arrogant individuals can't get their lawyers to argue that the glue reacted with any of the protective coatings on their car or, with the tow trucks being a business, that the stickers act as some kind of illegally posted advertising, both would probably be pretty weak in a court, but you know what enough money can achieve. :(
I was with Cruella when she downvoted the vid - she's very upset but I think I went some way to comforting her. We're meeting up again tomorrow afternoon.
They would need to either hook up to the computer or have the key - my bet is she has a spare key for the car in her glovebox and they just pressed keyless entry button on the door handle.
MrWitchTube That wouldn’t work, though. The cars I know will detect when the car is locked with a key outside, and won’t do the keyless unlock when the key is IN the car.
Did you watch the fucking video?? at 2:50 he gets out the tow truck and walks to the passenger side and unlocks it with a lockout tool. Then he unlocks the doors and the other tow driver gets in on driver side. He presses the push button start to unlock steering wheel, straightens the wheel, and then off to the races!
Doug Demuro shoutout! Love his content lol. Also, shocked to see this tow company so ill equipped... Many, if not most, tow companies in my area carry dollies specifically for AWD/4WD cars like the BMW. Would think that'd be an easy tow if they invested in proper equipment.

Hugh Gordon, maybe so, they certainly had a tow truck load of talent, and who could forget their chart topping hits “Knowing me towing you” and “When the tow truck comes Fernando”, and the less popular but equally relevant “Take a chance on me (hand writing a sign)”.
Is this a new towing company? They seem to document the vehicles better and the other guy had no problem dragging cars out of spots. I assume the old tower got sued for damages he caused.
If you know what you are doing you can sometimes pick up an AWD and let the wheels in the air spin so you can get it off property and get dollies under it.
@@painmagnet1 Do electronic brakes lock all four wheels? I thought they were typically just electronic actuation of the existing rear cable or calipers, replacing the manual able pull in the cabin.
@@AerinRavage It might have been an X-drive system in this one that prevented it being towed, BMW's AWD system. Pretty sure it's in all 7 series cars now. Electric parking brakes will probably only ever lock the back wheels as that's all that's needed to keep the car stationary and manufacturers will never overengineer their cars to maximise profit margins, etc. Putting the car in park (or the car doing that automatically when the engine is switched off) will probably always be the reason all wheels are locked, like leaving a manual car in gear when parked. Basically what you said but in many more less educated words. :)

Plot twist: The sign said "Note: This car gets damaged if towed. Tow at your own risk, as you will be liable for any damages caused. By towing, you agree to the liability."
I honestly feel that if the vehicle's intentionally parked in a tow zone, owner (or identified driver) assumes the risk of damages for anti-"theft" features.
Too bad the courts don't see it that way.
@@rcslyman8929 Nope, the courts don't care about the little people (IE: private small businesses, as seen in slum states like Cali and shithole cities like New York) they care more about the people with a lot of money, or people from certain "disenfranchised" groups (rolls-eyes)
@Stephen C I think you're 100% right
Not true. The second tow truck would have dollies. The operator places the dollies in such a way so as to lift the locked wheels off the ground. Moves the vehicle into position to be properly towed. Remove the dollies. Hook and book

Better tell that tow truck company to always carry dollies. Why even have a truck that can't tow AWD vehicles?
Protip: Buying a Subaru automatically decreases your chances of being towed.
eksentrysyti or buying a Subaru means that a tow company like this will destroy your transmission. Who am I to talk though, my Volvo is awd
I've had Subies and I have unfortunately broken down in them a few times and have had to call a tow. I DELIBERATELY tell them to bring a FLATBED because my car is AWD. What do they bring? A regular wrecker! I said there's no friggin way you're picking up my car with that thing, go get a *FLAT-BED!* I told your dispatcher it's a Subaru with AWD, you can't drag an AWD car! So, they go away and another tow truck comes, it's another wrecker again! WT actual F?!?! The dude sees the Subaru and says "Oh shit, it's a Subaru, I need a flat bed." So he goes away and FINALLY a flat bed comes! Wow, talk about a real bad case of no one communicating with any one else at the tow company!
Most of the time they pay attention and bring the proper tow truck, but that one company, WOW!
Buying a Subaru also automatically decreases your chances of getting laid.
Nope.. they can tow your Subi with a wheel lift, just need to put Dollies under the other pair of tires.
Yes, I know, but they didn't even have that. Twice they brought the wrong equipment even though they were told three times the car is AWD. Unreal!

@@markwright3161 - that would be a great idea. What's the legal scenario with putting a sticker on someone else's car? Can they come after you for damages?
@@DiscoScottie Well through watching those russian videos it seems that if you can put them on without damaging the car and removing them can be done without removing paint or scratching the glass then it seems to be OK.
I don't know enough about the US legal system to really know but I'd imagine it would be something similar in the US too, although I'm not sure about that. :(

3:08 How were they able to unlock the Maserati, open the front doors and turn the steering wheel?
They would need to either hook up to the computer or have the key - my bet is she has a spare key for the car in her glovebox and they just pressed keyless entry button on the door handle.
MrWitchTube That wouldn’t work, though. The cars I know will detect when the car is locked with a key outside, and won’t do the keyless unlock when the key is IN the car.
Did you watch the fucking video?? at 2:50 he gets out the tow truck and walks to the passenger side and unlocks it with a lockout tool. Is this a new towing company? They seem to document the vehicles better and the other guy had no problem dragging cars out of spots. I assume the old tower got sued for damages he caused.
Nope, same company. They have passed on several AWD and electronic- brake cars. In one of them the smug owner flipped us off.
@@AerinRavage - Just did some searching as I'd been a bit curious myself and they can be configured to work on all 4 wheels in some cars.

Why? the aim is to keep the carpark clear, not block it up with booted cars or punish idiots who can't/don't read.
