It's not on Jerry, Cowboys draft great and assemble quality rosters. The Cowboy problem is they keep paying over hyped QBs. Every Cowboy QB that is semi decent gets talked about as it they are elite, they put together a roster that allows the QB to get inflated stats, then they pay the guy for those inflated numbers.

I absolutely LOVE how they are referring to all of the things Dak has done as reasons to commit to him, when in fact those are all of the reasons to NOT commit to him. Why in the world should Dallas continue to pay him mega bucks in order to get nothing of consequence from him? Regular season stats are NOT why a team pays a QB. Dallas would end up with the exact same "big picture" results with a rookie QB or a lesser QB, and have a LOT of extra cap space to work with.

The difference is that teams are realizing they’re not gonna win with certain QB’s, soo they move on from them. The Cowboys are holding on to Dak for dear life hoping or believing they’ll win with him and continue to raise his salary which is crazy to me.

It's the simple quote of 2 playoff wins as starter in the past 8 years for Prescott! Extending him for good regular season stats is just not good enough. Poor playoff play from him is just unacceptable.

Jerry gambled and made Dak play out his contract, franchise tagged him before giving him the big contract. No way Dak gives Jerry a discount now and I don’t blame him. As a Packer fan going back to the 70s, I hate the Cowboys but their answer is to buy some size on defense and then the strategy is to burn the team down to the foundation after next year unless you have a super bowl appearance. To cycle back to a competitive team will take a few years and Jerry Jones will have to decide if he has the time for it.
Moving on from a QB has never been considered taboo until Dak. It's remarkable how some people use that argument in his defense when it wouldn't be applied to any other quarterback.
For example, when the Packers transitioned from Rodgers, there wasn't such talk. Likewise, when the Patriots moved on from Brady, there was hardly a whisper. Yet, with Dak, it's perceived as unthinkable; there's this belief that without him, everything will collapse.
