Belfast to Dublin known as the Enterprise.
Departing from Belfast’ Lanyon Place station the service is direct to Connolly station in the hearts through Emerald Isles capital Dublin.
First class offers a very relaxed experience offering extra leg room and on some services a hot breakfast.

I've used this train service a couple of times for return trips between Belfast and Dublin. I travelled Standard class both times after booking the the Translink website. I loved every moment of it.

Norther Irishman here. Me and the girlfriend travelled to and from Dublin via Belfast and personally I thought the service was great too, much more upper class than standard Translink trains lol.
It's worth noting that Translink are currently 3 years (I think) into building their new flagship station which will replace the current Great Victoria Street station and apparently allow for an hourly service to and from Dublin which I cannot wait to see when it's completed in 2024/25. You should definitely do a vlog tour of the place when it's completed lol

@@TheGeordieTravels Yeah our current stations are still very 1960's, so the new Grand Central Station when it's completed will be a great modern addition to our aging infrastructure lol Definitely come over for a wee nosey when it's completed haha Hopefully we'll see you back soon enough mate 😄
@@TheGeordieTravels The Ormeau Park is literally just around the corner. Next time you're here they will have hopefully completed the pedestrian bridge that will link footpaths on either side of the river.
I used to live in the apartment block on the other side of the river and from my balcony I had pretty much an unobstructed view of the platforms @ Lanyon Place.
It is SUCH A SHAME that the UK railways are SO INSANELY EXPENSIVE to use - any class anywhere. My full family just loves trains, but we are only using buses OR OUR OWN CARS! Such a shame. But thank you for the excellent video! Appreciated.
Irish Rail fares are a lot less than in the UK. As he showed in the video that if you book your ticket from Dublin it is a lot cheaper.
I do not think I will ever feel the same about calling this station Lanyon. For me it will always be Central. Even booking tickets today I always ask for a ticket to Central Station. Same goes for Titanic Halt....It is always going to be Bridge End to me.
They upgraded the cars some 5 or 6 years ago. If you don't like the "new" Lanyon Station you should have seen the "old" one, lol.
I always wanted to go to Belfast and Northern Ireland as I have never been there in my entire life.
This was my first time in Belfast too, would have liked a little longer in the city - maybe next time.
If you can brave the flight you could always get a cheap RyanAir flight to Dublin and then get the train up to Belfast haha

@@Squareheed You can take the bus from Dublin Airport. It's cheaper and faster. Or fly directly into Belfast...

A very fair and great account of the journey. It is a very Comfortable train but obviously the more expensive option is the one to get if you can afford it.
Shame some on here have tried to bring politics into their comments but just too clarify it is an international train as Belfast is in the UK and Dublin is in Southern Ireland two completely different countries.. They have been completely different for 100 years although the Enterprise train didn’t start until 1946!

I have noticed at 0:56 you have must spelled the Irish name for Irish Rail. The first word in the name is spelled Iarnród, and not Larnód, as you have spelled it.

U didn’t cross into the Emerald Isle u were always in the Emerald Isle just the occupied part first
Mm beware, this soon applies if you are travelling INTO NI (by any means incl the wonderful Enterprise service) and you are NOT a UK or Irish passport holder. The current (and prob now outgoing) and mega brexit UK Govt is soon insisting on an entry permit to NI. So eg any EU (other than Irish) or eg US, passport holders will need one! Both Irish tourism (NI and Republic) bodies, as well as the Dublin Govt are opposed to this: it will mega reduce o/seas tourists going north (most if whom travel as a package, from the south).

@@cehaem2 An Irish reading might suggest that Dublin is in the UK. That said our presenter clarified which city is where early on. I'm no Nationalist or Irish Republican, but it can get the hackles up when we're assumed to be British. Men died to get us out of the UK. Could even be described as the UK's original international service. Commenced in 1947.

Northern Ireland is not a country. Belfast is in Ireland.

enterprise is not an international train, all of Ireland is one country. So this title for the Enterprise as another international train is rubbish
As far as I am aware, Northern Ireland is in the UK and the sovereign state of the Republic of Ireland is in the EU - therefore 2 separate countries so I beg do differ. If you wish to debate, unfortunately this is not the right channel for that.
