Wrath has higher cleave potential, and is easy to cap and earn. You can also get it even into a single tougher enemy. Nothing wrong with savage sweep if you prefer it.

Doesn't the Mk13 Chainsword really need the Trench Fighter drill to help it clear mobs out? I always have problems with it compared to the MK4 on builds that don't take Trench Fighter, I think due to the light attacks not coming out fast enough vs the heavy sweeps on the MK4.
@@Reginald-sc9tk Oh that's awesome! Yeah without that 10% attack speed I always feel like I'm getting pressured by mobs and pushed back, but with it gg ez, mobs SLAPPED
Only thing I’d change is the add to mag on melee just past weapon specialist. It feels great bc you always have that one crit in a mag to continue chaining weapon specialist. The revolvers can get two (33% at 10 stacks) and the bolt pistol three. Since it rounds up not down. And a third of your mag for 10 pox walker kills? That’s a deal to me. If you switch in the middle of a horde you’ll have a full mag before you know it.
Onslaught really isn't going to add much to the build. You can only apply a max of 8 stacks with the bolt pistol and after 8 shots with puncture a crusher is going to be long dead anyway. It's really better for IAGs or recon lasguns, something that applies max stacks very quickly with low damage and low penetration. Unless you're planning to run up and M1 carapace enemies with the chainsword to apply brittleness before shredder-ing them you'd get a lot more mileage out of fully loaded and superiority complex imo. Superiority complex is going to add a similar amount of carapace damage and also affect a lot more enemies than brittleness.
You may well be right, though I find the brittleness effects are not insignificant when spamming into hordes. Perhaps it will require a deeper dive to determine its general effectiveness over other options some time. The slow season is coming.
@@Reginald-sc9tk you really only get the full value of brittleness against armors that you can't penetrate which is pretty much only carapace. Flak armor in darktide is pretty much a joke that could be pened with your fist. Once you're stacking brittleness on enemies whose armor that you can penetrate your added damage is reduced by 75% or something like that. That being said if that bit of damage is enough for you to hit comfy break points on trash that's a good enough reason to run it.
@@erickraft8698 That's exactly it. I can't say I'm sure it does hit nicer breakpoints in this case but that was the intent of selecting it. I forget if brittleness still effects bleed stacks too, or did they change that?
Heavy Sword MK Vll would pair well with this build. The heavy swords do great with everything up to flak armor and the bolt pistol will make up for its shortcomings with carapace armor.

@@Reginald-sc9tk Most targets die in 1-3 hits, you're only applying 7.5% brittleness at best. You'd be better off with the 10% rending talent and even that won't change breakpoints or TTK on any targets.

Bolt pistol's Lethal Proximity increases grenade AOE by 25%, along with Grenade Tinkerer's 25%, while Execution's 20% bonus damage to staggered enemies applies to bleeds during grenade stagger. (So does 25% rending from Opportunist on chainaxes and various blunt weapons.) There's a bunch of other interesting interactions with bleeds and rending effects. Can any of this take enemies over a 1-grenade breakpoint so you don't need to throw 2? Not really, but shredder damage isn't about breakpoints. Think about how much ammo and weapon swings 1 free grenade per minute saves. V a l u e! So I'd argue that with a melee weapon that's amazing on its own (new spam chainsword) and a weapon that doesn't scale great with talents (bolt pistol is still a pistol no matter the investment) it's sane and viable to use the bolt pistol as a sprint stick and buff baton for a full-on grenadier.
