This car costs almost 90k and there's HARD plastic EVERYWHERE , not even a single piece of aluminun. Window switches, door handles, air vents, the dash, the idrive island... its like a 3D printed car. Is this how Germany will answer to the Chinese automakers????
Is hasn’t been on the dealer lots yet. At least not in the US. The price fully loaded will be around 68-73k US.

No excuse for hard plastic at that price point.
In Europe the m50 is almost 90k with some options
So the aluminum hood and front quarter panels are gone?
This has to be one of the worst interior downgrades of any car model of the last 20 years.
That Toyota Camry cloth is horrendous.
I knew the redesigned x5 last year was too good to be true, to think that bmw was heading back in the right design direction 😂

Other than the looks, the biggest thing to piss me off is the fact that BMW no longer have an open sunroof just a glass pano. I love the ability to open a sunroof
THIS!!! This is the comment I am looking for. You and me both!! What a deal breaker for. If I can’t retract the roof what’s the point?! I don’t care how slower the GLC43 is compared to the M50 BMW has lost a sale with me on this x3. I have the 23 x3M40 and this is a disappointment to me!! I will see if I can get a M3 at least it has an opt to have a sunroof or a carbon roof. I rather not have a glass roof at all..why tease me!!

BMW really needs to get away from this clownish design language. Land Rover is just so much more classy now.

It’s appear that BMW language called “monolithic exterior design” again show that the direction of the BMW Head of Design goes to a disaster, same happens with Mercedes previous generation. BMW owner(s) must do something, otherwise we “ the owners of a BMW cars “ may look to a different brand in future. Take care BMW and all the best.

This is the Temu edition. It should be a lot cheaper with all that cheap plastic and cloth interior. It’s got Temu led lights all inside.

So in the video what the exterior designer he just says about every panel it's very modern very monoblock we got rid of the busy lines it wasn't busy then you took a great looking car and sanded all the body lines out and made it round and bubbly there's nothing aggressive about this

Can you confirm if the 396PS power output number is including the 48v hybrid output? If so, overall output of the B58 V6 goes down from previous generation.
The performance of the 48v system is never counted to the Engine power.
@@bfranklin4184 that’s not an accurate statement. 2 sources to include a BMW group press article indicate 393 is the combined output of the vehicle; the ICE is 375HP. This is less than the outgoing model.
Bmw better not SLAUGHTER the X4 like they just did the X3.
the x4 got replaced by the x2. they won’t make any new x4s anymore
@@TimurGenc bmw never announced this. The x2 is just a smaller coupe version of the x4.
I'd imagine this generation, going into recession will have lower sales. For the next generation, more production will be moved out of Spartanburg and into Mexico like the 3 series for the north American market to cut expense. I'd like to see how many of the parts of this car versus previous generations has changed outside of Europe to manufacturing in Asia. This is the consequence the Western consumer will endure for the consumer habits of those Eastern markets.

So pricey for this underperforming design…so hard to try to like it, was expecting more for top seller X3 so disappointing, grille, camera, fabric, plastic, piano black, capacitive sliders, interior lighting horrible, lame design no excitement, only hoping that maybe 2026 can fix some of this very poorly design, you are BMW! What the hell happened here?
Looks like the X1 inside and outside. As the owner of an iX1 I've nothing against this, except on this model they've still dedicated a third of the vehicle to an engine compartment-which in a world of batteries and electric motors is wasted space.

Looks like BMW outsourced their design to Toyota.
Yes, perhaps the exterior we can get used to. But the interior? Has BMW killed any designers with any piece of consciousness about how a LUXURY car should look like? Looks like a PC game room. Is BMW not a car company? Are they trying to become 3rd world Apple? The Quandts should be having sleepless nights. If they take this route, the Chinese will be eating their lunch and dinner AND breakfast. Totally unbelievable.

All the people who say this is a bad design have no idea what true beauty looks like. This is one of the best looking bmw designs in a long time. I wish they had more ambient lighting on the doors including the back. Also not too happy with the fabric on the dashboard, but exterior is excellent and very soon, everyone will realise this is miles ahead of the outgoing design.
Agree with you. I’ve been a BMW enthusiast for years. I’m not digging the fabric either. LOVE the flat bottom steering wheel.
It's designed for Chinese sensibilities. If you live in the West, you likely don't like it. Me included.
The more I see the new design, the more I like it. Except that base kidney grill. Yuck. I wonder if the PHEV will come to Canada. I know it's not coming to the US but maybe Canada?

The interior for BMW’s have become to CHEAP LOOKING …all that hard tacky plastic….just look at the 3 Series. I’ll stick with Audi

Interior is a bad design.
Unlike many of the other commenters I am liking the exterior look of the 2025 X3… the interior is low quality and poorly designed and material selection and lighting looks very Target store to me… I was strongly considering buying it but read today that it is being built in the USA and in the third world country of South Africa…. This is a definite non-starter for me… I want my BMW built in Germany.
? the X3/x5/x6/x7 have all been built in the USA for years now, and they are rock solid. Everybody loves the X5 and X7, and they've been reliable with the B58. It's either robots in germany making your car, or robots in the USA. For non exclusive family cars, there really is no difference except in your perception.
Prior to this BMW and Audi were neck in neck for interiors, BMW sank a little in exterior while gaining a little over audi in terms of driving dynamics. Now all audi have to do is produce decent sporty driving sedans and their cars will shit all over these new BMWs in terms of interior refinement, exterior styling, and overall classiness. I've always dreamed about owning a 6 cylinder 2 or 3 series, but now I feel a lot better about my little S3, because my god this looks ugly and cheap.
