Fit car seats in your VW Transporter, T5 to T6.1

- We've designed this seat plates to be the perfect central seating position when using a car seat instead of the van shaped seat. The plate in this video isn't designed to work with swivel seat bases.
We will soon release a plates slightly offset that will still give you are great seating position but will also allow the seat to swivel.
This is a really easy DIY job and there are lots of Golf GTI, Audi A3 seats etc available on market place and ebay etc.
There is something about Wing back seats that make the van feel like it handles better. I know its a big slab sided object and not a race car, but the way the seats lock you in, make it feel more stable when cornering.

What a simple but great product tried to fit golf gti seats to my t5 a couple years ago wasn't happy with the mock up and safety aspects defo going to look for some seats now 😀.

Yes that's exactly the issue and the reason we've made them offset like this 😊

How did you do the airbag and Seat warmer? I changed to a Golf seat in my T6 1 and airbag and ACC is permanent fault

The video doesn’t show how the plate fits to the base as the video is from the rear towards the front. It should show from above the work that’s involved

Finally a nice product which doesn’t add loads of height to the seats. Will you be selling single plates for those who want a nicer drivers seat but want to keep the bench?

Can you use only the driver plate and change that seat and still run the double passenger seats? Will there be enough room with the new driver seat with the new position? I know it may depend on the seat you chose to replace the original.

Yes i believe they would but I couldn't say 100%. If not they would be the right size to drill new seats side holes. I think they'll be fine though.
Is it a specific single passenger side seat base you need or does a driver side work in the passenger position?
You can use a driver and remove the handbrake bracket
Hi THQ, just bought a pair of these plates to fit mk7 golf r seats in my t5.1.
The holes in the seat rails are much wider than the bolts supplied so it seems as though the seat would have a lot of play before tightened down. Is this right? My rails look exactly like the ones in the video.
Also i have 3 sort of flanged nuts, and 1 normal nut in each pack. Is this on purpose and where does each nut go. Could do with some better idiot proof instructions 😂

It depends, some may need connectors changing. It's all easy enough though

What happens if you have heated seats. Can you use the same cables for the new seat if it’s also heated?
You may need to change the wiring / connectors slightly. These wing back are heated and we made them work with the OEM controls

You can buy retro fit heated seat kits on Amazon / eBay etc. They come with heat pads and switches

You may need to change the connectors
do the vxr seats work with the plates or just the vag group
The whole in these are for VAG seats. I would think they could easily be drilled to work with other seats though. The important part is they match up with the Transporter bases.

I don't know. You'd need to measure the fixing points. If not it's likely the plates could be re-drilled

Without meaning to swear at you… would these fit the CMC single swivel base?
Only because it saves me buying an extortionate single seat base and then a swivel plate on top.
That's a good question. I would think so as they're build for a Transporter seat I believe. I couldn't tell you 100% though. You can always send them back if they don't fit

No sorry, we don't need that in most countries and it would make them really expensive if we had to spend the thousands of pounds getting them tested.

You can pick them up for around £2000 a set. Then leather trimming if you want to change the look.
