I work here at The Brook as a dealer. It’s so funny to watch this 3 years later. The place has changed so much for the better. One of dealers (Aaron) in this video is now a floor supervisor.
I have really been enjoying these videos lately. It is something new to watch compared to the large poker tournaments on youtube. I think you present an exciting new video style for poker games and entertainment so keep on the grind brother.
K7/A10 hand that beat you, you gotta just get that in on the turn. He has $130 left behind, make him put that $ being behind in the hand. Think about it, your calling any river anyway. If the river bricks and you check he can just check back and save himself $130.
agreed on the turn would’ve been the best bet to shove with A10 he didn’t raise you preflop so you can rule out all the better aces .Your ahead of all other one pair hands.A New place your playing so understandable move without knowing players tendencies .
@@jefflaw9950 Which is what we want him to do. If you're putting your opponent on a draw in this spot, you want to get all the money in on the turn. By calling and leaving $130 behind when we' know we're not going to fold river, we're allowing the opponent to freeroll us on the last $130, as we're always paying him off when he hits the river and he can fold and save the $130 when he bricks out.
@@fevolenko3995 hey Fevolenko, unfortunately its going to depend on where you play. Some states have certain laws that regulate buy ins/stakes for poker (ex: Washington state, the max "all in" is $300-500 no matter what stakes you play...). I think many states in US share similar rules/regulations as WA, but if you are just goin to vegas or california I hope you kill it my dude! The most I ever won was just under $5k at the commons casino close to LA in california, great poker room
@@Grantboost he had top pair on flop and there was close to 700 in pot facing reraise on turn for 235 more with open ender. Sometimes you walk away from a session questioning your technical play. Sometimes it’s mental game questions. We all go through it, only some study and work on the mental part. A great player will build a big edge on that part. I think you will, too.
haha love the mid session update. Just got to ride the variance train, just remember, A9 off and shipping his stack is fish play in the long term, he just got lucky.
Looks like some solid games up there in NH. Down here in MD it's full of pros and huge nits. The games may be 7 max but often times the games are five handed and everyone is playing just as tight as a nine or ten handed game.
MD is the best place to play low stakes. If they play tight in a 5 handed game then you’re just gonna print. It’s usually the opposite where I play. They call all in KQo pre like it’s KK

3:00 A2o. I think this is too weak and just fold the turn. I like the donk river and fold to raise. 5:00 ATo. I would just jam turn with so little behind, but it’s really irrelevant. 7:20 A7c. I think flop bet is fine on such a low board. I like the turn check raise on the Qc. Given his speech on the turn, I would consider a weak check/fold line on river especially with only 40% pot-sized shove, but this is fine. 10:36 75s. Too loose preflop unless it’s very short-handed (but I can see the dealer button across the table, so this is unlikely). 12:13 A8s. I would c-bet small on the flop to build a pot. 13:39 KTs. Maybe I’m too weak, but I would just fold river on a 3 club, 4-liner board to a bet that screams value. 14:48 QQ. Gross. 16:05 55. I don’t blame you for planning on calling down against this particular player, but I would just fold flop and find a better spot. 18:00 65s. Preflop call of 6x 3-bet is really bad and your real first clear error of the session. I like the turn bet. On river, I would take a check/hero-call line.
Love, the comment with the A7 of clubs hand, "this pot has really gotten bloated", by the guy who bloated it!! LOL, you should have just jammed or called, what the hell was a raise supposed to do?
I think folding is the answer there you have no equity in the hand plus your hand history with that player tells you he’s a call station .During the hand he announced I don’t believe you have A4 lol .Great content though !
@rampage, On the AT be K7hh hand. We’re you aware that you had a double gutter? Additionally, on the river T, there were two 4 liner era to a straight. Any or 9. You didn’t mention in any of you analysis. Gives you more equity when deciding on river call. Also, did you consider jamming on turn? You said he didn’t have much behind. If your straight does come in, he may not fall a river bet. May as well get the ones in. Especially if he can show up with a naked draw.
Rough session, dude. Yes, "We've all had days like this," indeed. I did yell "NOOOO Ethan!" at the screen a couple times: On the A2 blind vs. blind hand, I am check-folding the turn. Your ace high may be good (less than?) half the time, but with such a small pot, it isn't always worth contesting. It's likely one of those "win small or lose big" situations. On the Ac7c hand... I think I'm doubling him up too but in a different way. If you make a turn raise and have too little left behind, and you miss on the river, what do you do? Jam? Check-call? Check-fold? With so little fold equity, you're stuck with three bad options if you miss. I'm either raising smaller on the turn or just jamming on the turn, and if he calls with 45 (he probably does) then so be it, I like my chances.
19:30 There is absolutely no difference if he has AA/KK or QQ/JJ. They are all bluff catchers. But I think he would/should cbet all his overpairs on the flop so mainly u are targeting him to fold overcards, which u beat.
