The small pre flop raises accomplish many things, I use it just to juice the pot up for the high hand minimum pot size to twenty dollars, just in case, I feel suited aces, suited connectors and small to medium pairs are most likely the holdings of the small raise.
Give you some advice . Move up to 2/5. Being a thinking player you will win long term. 1/2 is super hard to grind and win enough to make those 2 hour drives worth it. $500 max is decent . But u seem like a good player. Move up. Same player pool for the most part. Just more money

Dukey brother I just sat down on the toilet and man, let me tell you when I say this dooker blew my O ring out I’m not even over exaggerating. Anywho, always make sure you don’t get dook on your hand
At the Brook Some players will do the $7 raise , some do it to trap with let’s say 77+ , some will limp in with AA. Yes it doesn’t get some to fold , but it could build the pot if someone hits big. Most raises are $10 or $12. I play on Sunday Mornings. Most $1/2 tables play like $1/2 , yes some tables are more aggressive, but it is $1/2.
@@DukeyBets On Sunday mornings when the table first opens there are many hands that just limp in. If card dead it’s tough to raise even to $10 , you will have 1/2 the table calling after they limp in higher than $10 will give hand strength away but sometimes you need to raise higher than $10
A4ss: I definitely raise SB here, not because GTO but because you already have lower equity from SB - playing MW makes things even worse. Raise, get a fold or two, take the initiative, and increase your equity. I just check flop and usually call down unless villain bets huge, which is rare in 1/2. A9o: I'd fold this from HJ but AP, I'd cbet with bdfd/bdsd and an overcard. Then I'd continue betting the turn with the OESD. Okay, why on Earth would you not C-bet with KJ of spades on a Q high one spade flop? @10:33 You had back door flush & straight equity & an over card to the board. You need to C-bet way more & mixing in your poor, middling or well connected hands to the flop. Don't want to get too results oriented here, but for example now you are at the Turn, drilling the nut 10 of spades & without increasing the pot on the flop limits how much you can bet on the turn. This is called geometric bet sizing.
I had runner runner flush + straight. Minimal equity at best. C-betting here multi-way would torch money imo. I could be wrong but pretty sure checking back is better given the multi-way + over calling dynamic of this table!

Feel like if you’re raising A4 you’re raising every single suited ace you have.. right? I rather be shy or whatever you wanna say and call any reasonably sized raise, that’s just me though.
If it’s not good enough to raise out of the SB it isn’t good enough to play. Plus in high rake environments you are heavily incentivized to take down the dead money pre. I doubt BB calls if you raise to $20
In live low stakes I prefer to play suited wheel aces passively as well, if you raise over limpers they aren’t folding and when you miss your flush or straight you just lose more. Plus if you pair the A you’re likely out kicked by better Ax that limp calls pre
