One of my favorite half-jokes regarding Sakuya is to say that she isn’t a reference to Dio, but to The World specifically. After all, she’s the time-stopping servant of a vampire.
not to mention The World is the one throwing the knives, and not DIO himself (save for the OVA)
And Remi is the one who quotes Dio against Marisa. It's well founded.

HFTF nailed the time stop super with it gradually draining the super meter and the player can do whatever they want until the meter fully drains. It's a shame so few games have the balls to fully replicate it.

Tbf it works like that in the All Star Battle games as well. However, you only get 3 bars on that game.
yeah, if the games aren't letting you move around in stopped time, they're not doing it right. It's why I miss the Capcom Jojo games and how they handled it (unless other games allow it and the video just doesn't show?)

You missed the manual time stops from JoJo ASBR. Both DIO and Jotaro can do them, just like in JoJo HFTF.
Also, the fact that you showed off the animation for moves from other games multiple times makes it strange you didn't show the regular version of DIO's super move, or his other super move where he also uses time stop.

@@SienlengOng-lg9pu no it isn't, za warudo is just DIO's voice actor saying the world but because he's got a Japanese accent it comes off poorly otherwise every voice actor would not be saying their stands english names.
@ieathumansoulsso does jotaro, exception being the rat fight where he stops time for 2 seconds to move out of the way of the shots without saying the whole line. I believe it happens automatically when the user is in danger, because the only time it triggered automatically was when DIO got stabbed
@@tranquility6789 well we also hear the unfreezing sound effect when SP catches the bullet that Jotaro shoots at himself, so the auto timestop as a danger response is a lot more valid than just one instance. we have two instances.

You missed izanami's "Hour of Nihility" super, that starts from a command grab, but the timestop lasts half as long while costing half as much meter

Great video but there is one thing, in Arcana Heart 3 Kamui is the owner of the time arcana, sure you could use it with any character but I thought it would be more fitting if it was with the og user.
Aeon actually has 2 different Time Stop moves, plus he can use the Stopwatch item which also serves as a time stop, giving him 3 in total.

you missed a ref in Skullgirls! Cerebella has a reflect attack that's the Jotaro finger point pose. It only activates on projectiles and is done with a DP input.
There's also the jotaro and Dio colors, too, on Big Band and Eliza.
This isn't JoJo's refs in general, just specifically time stops

Ultimecia can also stop time in her EX Mode, outside of Ex Burst. It’s a long charge attack.

To be fair, Zero's move is based on Dark Hold from Mega Man X5, which is a reference to Mega Man 2's Flash Stopper (though given that X5 has a Maverick based on Kakyoin, I wouldn't be surprised if there was influence from DIO there, especially since the Maverick you get it from is a vampire bat).

Her post-game special attack allows her to stop time while hurling countless throwing knives at the enemy that won't close in until she allows time to move again.
