We are so happy to have discovered your hawker stall. Your nasi lemak is some of the best I've had, especially that chicken. I can't stop thinking about it...lol.
Chicken Rice rice and Nasi Lemak rice are arguably two of the tastiest “not meant to be but can be eaten on its own” rices in the world. Everything looks super tasty.
Thr spicy wife nasi lemak looks good! Thanks for sharing! This hawker center is located in our central business district hence it tends to get vert crowded during lunch hour. Good tip to come b4 11.30am 👍
Thank you @simplyme3306 for your curry puff recommendation! If anyone else has recommendations of where we should go or what we should try, please leave them in the comments below. Thank you for watching!
Amoy is very popular amongst the locals. 2 levels of good food there😋Also the nearest MRT is Telok Ayer. It's actually local/Chinese egg noodles like wanton noodles. Not "ramen" which is Japanese. The owners created a fusion of local fishball noodles and Japanese noodle. I love J2 curry puffs.
@@grifsfoodandtravel Ahhh.... yes, it can be a intimidating. 😅 Just a little background to The Original Vadai which you ate in the video. Did you notice that the texture of the prawn vadai is different from the one in Komala Villas? Komala Villas' version is most likely a more traditional version because you mentioned that it was quite dense. The Original Vadai's version is lighter & fluffier which is said to be a version unique to Singapore and came about because it changed over time to suit local taste buds. I personally like The Original Vadai's vadai the best of all the vadai I have tried so far. Also a little more trivial, eating it with green chilli is a local thing. Vadai is not normally eaten with green chilli in South India where it originated from. They eat it with a yoghurt dip which is also what you got in Komala Villas. 🙂
@@carolinechai3176 Wow, thank you so much for the background information. Yes, it was definitely different in texture and I personally liked Original Vadai better. Truly appreciate you taking the time to help inform me on the differences of the two vadais.

We like to eat vadai with green chilli. You can try it next time. The store will usually offer you some. :)
They did offer, but I was a bit intimidated...lol. I'll try the chili next time. Thank you for watching and your suggestion.
