This hawker centre is a nostalgic spot from the 1980s, offering both great food and essential military supplies, especially for servicemen needing replacements after signing a 1206 form. Level 2s military gear selection was a go-to for many, making it memorable for both its food and its utility during army days.

Basement, there is a Chinese Beef Noodle stall amongst all the Halal Stall. Good Eats. And also at the basement, there is Braise Duck stall, worth the Q. 1st floor there is a stall which sells 'Chilli Noodle' which actually is a dry version of Prawn Mee. You can also wash is down with a bowl / cup of 'Chin Chow' which is beside the Chilli Mee stall.

Also, Golden Mile Food Centre also has the first Ashes Burnnit outlet in SG. This was the burger place that opened in NY in Urban Hawkers. So if you want to try this burger at SG prices, you can try it at Golden Mile too. 🙂

Another great hawker centre you visited :D
That's spring roll not egg roll in the lor mee😄For lor mee, we will add in more black vinegar, chili and garlic into the noodles. LOL of cause it's real watermelon. It's freshly blended fruit with ice.
Exactly, that's why locals don't queue for Tian Tian, overhyped. They are for tourist and long queue as well! The chili, ginger paste and/or dark sauce, locals usually eat them together with the chicken + rice. More of the chili for me that's one of the important component for me. I can doused 3 plates of chili in one chicken rice meal if the chili tastes good for me.
Old Amoy chendol is my favourite in Singapore. Their original stall is actually at Chinatown Complex. This here I think is their second outlet. They use freshly cold pressed coconut milk..and made their own chendol jelly with fresh pandan juices. Hence you don't see those neon green coloured jellies.
Try visiting Bendemeer market, Haig Road market, Bedok Interchange hawker. Other stalls you missed out at Amoy that sells very traditional food. Like Luan Jie Mei Shi (level 1 red signboard) - their chee cheong fun, yam kuey, pumpkin kuey is superb and sold out fast. Also Ah Seng (level 2) hai nan coffee stall. They make their own kaya and their toast is toasted over charcoal.

$3.50 is cheap for that portion of chicken rice; a typical plate of chicken rice usually starts from $4 onwards nowadays.
If memory serves me right, Tian Tian chicken rice is priced from $5 onwards

@@grifsfoodandtravel the one I went to is at the basement one call Dean something right at the end of the row, can't recall the exact name, there's a few stalls doing the dish at basement one. It's mutton marrow bones cook in this red sweet slight spicy sauce. The marrow taste rich n full of flavor. There also a really good satay stall in the middle row but it's not always open for bus,so have to try your luck. I think both open during the evening time
