Graphics were the only thing going for it. I played through it when it came out and while there were decent sections in between, it was one of most repetitive experiences last generation.

Funny you mention Metro Exodus looking good today: They just announced an enhanced edition coming out in about a week that has even more ray tracing stuff and DLSS 2.0. It's so beefy, the enhanced edition will require a ray tracing GPU as its minimum spec.

Cyberpunk is the reason I got a series s AND the reason I got my first RUclips account banned smh lol( I defended the game sooooo much that I got banned not even realizing the game was legit mediocre and CD PROJEKT scammed the crap out of me). When I realized it wasmt running good on my Xbox... As soon as I finished I immediately wanted a refund and now I'm forced to live with the game catching dust on my Xbox. Everytime I think oh lemme try to see if cyberpunk functions a little better I immediately uninstall the game idk why but the game is the biggest disappointment I've ever come across in a game... To this day i haven't even finished the WITCHER3 and I own the complete game. Idk why I went so hard for cyberpunk knowing I wasn't really a fan of their previous games.

The ambient occlusion reshade is breaking Ryse and RDR 2 for me. It pulls contact shadows through volumetric lighting and adds to the darkness of the shadow instead of the volumetrics covering it up correctly.

I'm surprised you guys didn't mention the Enhanced PC update coming out for Metro Exodus on May 6th, it requires an RTX card just to run now. The whole lighting model has been updated to only use Ray Tracing now, from advanced Global Illumination, Shadows & even Reflections.
If you mod skyrim with the right texture/lighting mods alongside an ENB the game can look close to whats showcased here. My recommendation is Rudy ENB: Cathedral Weathers
yeah they were good but they were based on screen space reflections with reflection probes blended in in areas outside screen space, it was very impressive implementation but no ray tracing here to talk about.
im surprised COD MW 2019 didnt make it to this list, the visuals you get in the campaign (with ray tracing on) is seriously gorgeous. Even more gorgeous compared to bocw campaign imo.

I'm hoping that with the Fidelity FX update coming to consoles we'll be able to get 4K, 60fps with raytracing. I hate choosing between graphics and performance cause I always choose performance and miss all that pretty RT.

Watch Dogs Legion RTX is a top 3 so far , lights , rain effects in ground , real time detailed reflections looking as intended and not like a polished surface , dark and light mixtures , fucking awesome.... (my top 3 is CP2077 , Metro Enhanced and WD Legion in June 2021) . Too bad so few people can still test the real Nvidia RTX in those 3 games (the 3 of them optimized for RTX)
I'm a little confused by this list tbh. Halo 4? Kingdom Come Deliverence? They may look nice, and have well realized shadows/light, but half the games listed here don't have actual real time ray tracing

Look into Metro Exodus’s new update. It’s the first AAA game to genuinely use RT for its lighting rather than just adding it as an afterthought. I wasn’t convinced on RT but after seeing the recent digital foundry video on the new Metro Exodus update, I’m 100% convinced it’ll be the standard within a few years.

Metro exodus doesn't require an RTX card. Only the new standalone version. You can still play the old one without an rtx card.

The RT mod doesn't actually utilize any ray tracing however, it's a reshade mod.

(my top 3 is CP2077 , Metro Enhanced and WD Legion in June 2021) . Too bad so few people can still test the real Nvidia RTX in those 3 games (the 3 of them optimized for RTX)

I'm a little confused by this list tbh. Halo 4? Kingdom Come Deliverence? They may look nice, and have well realized shadows/light, but half the games listed here don't have actual real time ray tracing

Control is one of the best looking games lighting and set design wise I've ever played. Not the best game by any means, but boy if it ain't beautiful...
BF5 only supports ray traced reflections, it shouldn't be #1

Look into Metro Exodus’s new update. It’s the first AAA game to genuinely use RT for its lighting rather than just adding it as an afterthought. I wasn’t convinced on RT but after seeing the recent digital foundry video on the new Metro Exodus update, I’m 100% convinced it’ll be the standard within a few years.
@@tiki1750 it was always going to be the standard, it saves alot of time in development to not have to fine tune lightboxes. It should make a significant amount of development faster and cheaper.
I was soo expecting to see Batman Arkham Knight on the list...although it doesn't support Ray tracing but damn the graphics & rain effects are way to realistic ❤

im curious about halo 4. did regular people put in pc mods to make ray tracing available there or did 343/microsoft put in the ground work to make it possible?
also, glad devil may cry 5 special edition isnt here. talk about a game that didnt need it at all.
