My GF bought one a couple months ago and you just answered every question I had about it- very comprehensive review of it’s workings thank you!!!
Just bought a 2022 Camry SE can’t wait to drive it out tomorrow! Great car!
Good luck brother I agree! Hope you enjoy👍🏼
If you don’t mind me asking how much did you pay for it?
@@cameronlodal3611 it was 30k after fees
@@Mighty_carlos123 30k OTD?
@@manay1993 that's a crazy good price, I have looked into one that have Convinence package, cold weather, moonroof, dual port and all floor linear package. Out the door price is 36k. I think it's a reasonable price unsure this is my first time buying a car would you be able to give me some advices ?
i test drove this car today along with many others (civic, accord, crv, rav4, corolla, and this exact camry), and man this was easily the most impressive, comfortable and pleasurable thing i drove all day. its got such a great combination of stiffness and driving comfort, and the 4 cylinder engine GOs. its a wonderful sensation to drive. no matter how comfortable a car is, a crappy/weak engine will ruin it. this one definitely kicks ass. luxury and comfort with a great powerful punchy v4. much better than the honda engines imo in terms of feel
I have the 2020 its exactly like this one except i bought the Sport Package which adds black splash guards
black door trim and rear trim, and the doors have a fancy CAMRY plexiglass logo, also Weather Tech floor mats
and trunk mat. I really like using it in sport mode using the hand shifters, you can really take off using them
great for Mountain Roads with lots of turns. ......after 2 years i stilll love everytime i get in and the looks are
awsome for a Camry, one thing the new one has mine doesnt is that Android Auto, I downloaded it on Smartphone
and pluged in you still can use Android auto but its better when its already in the Software on the monitor.
Do you recommend this as a first car?
@@garcia7918 sure, I still love this car. No problems after 3-4 months and no regrets. Plus insurance tends to be cheaper for camrys, and gas as well if you get the 4 cylinder.
I definitely agree with you when I hear all these reviewers complaining about lack of power don't know what they are talking about i drove the LE model very impressed also drove Mazda CX 30 was not impressed seemed slow in comparison to this.
I actually just got this car. Nightshade silver n I must say it wasn’t my first choice. I wanted a Lexus. But this car shocks me more n more. It’s smooth simple n relaxing to drive n when I wanna Drive it allows me comfortably with loosing the smooth drive. I’m falling in Love everyday. It’s only been a week n a half.
Glad you like it! Good luck with the car 👍🏼
Yep, I've had my sights on the 2022 ES350 (currently drive 2013 ES350) but am starting to lean towards a Camry instead. Hard to beat the value.
Great video. Thanks. I just bought the se nightshade in white. So far I'm very happy with it. Haven't had time for a long drive yet but from what I'm seeing it's a great vehicle I watched several videos before test driving, mine has extras I didn't see any where on RUclips.
I took a 100 mile trip and she cruises at 70 on the freeway, you dont even feel it, of course it cruises even better at 80
but we wont talk about that LOL
Amazing review one of the most extensive ones out there. I reserved mine and should come in 1-2 weeks
Thanks! Good luck with the car 👍🏼
Just got my Camry SE last night. I can’t wait for my long drive to the Jersey shore today. It’s such a beautiful and sexy looking car lol I am very happy.
Hope you enjoyed the shore and good luck with the car!! 🙏🏼
I just ordered my SE last week & I can’t wait for it to get delivered
Hopefully it comes in asap good luck with the car! 👍🏼
Great reviews nice job!
Thanks for watching! If you’re new, hit that subscribe button and stay tuned for tomorrow’s review on the 2022 Camry XSE. Was planning on posting that video first, however one of the viewers saw me recording this SE and requested for it to be posted first.. Hope you enjoy!
Just bought a brand new 2022 camry se nightshade. Can't wait until it gets here. It's got less then 6 miles on it. It should be coming on the trailer in 2 weeks. Silver car blacked out everything else.
Thank you very informative you took meticulous attention to detail awesome
Glad you liked it thanks for the comment!! 🙏🏼
Picked up a 23 se today without any dealer options, acceleration much better than the 1.5t base accord that I tested drive, and way better otd price.
Very good review thank you
Thanks! 👍🏼
If you live where only flat roads, no problems. But if you live in the high mountains get the V6.
Good point! 👍🏼
Its important to note that it does not have daytime running strips, the DRLS are just the headlight on a dim setting.
just turned 18 and got this car for my first! absolutely static to drive it
It’s an awesome first ride! Good luck hope you enjoy it👍🏼🙏🏼
@@WTFCRLT1 just a question is it an option to have the push to start ? because mine isn’t a push to start
@@wibibeendead I’m pretty sure you can go into the service department at the dealership and ask how much it’ll cost to change it into switch it out OEM… * I just called 4 dealerships, they said the car has to come with it or else you risk having issues with an aftermarket, and last thing you want is your car to be easier for someone else to take… I’d recommend to just trade in later, she said 24-25 is going to be preinstalled on all models
Was shopping for an Accord but could not seem to corner an EX-L for anything even close to reasonable and the hybrids which do not get much better mpg than the gas model were unattainable. I went to a Toyota dealer and looked at the Camry SE and bought it at msrp in Ice Edge color with convenience package and I really very much love the car. I like driving a balanced car that handles well and for this class of car it does well..at least as well as Accord. I like the 8 spd and the engine is just fine as a 4 cyl. I had the Honda CR-V and was tired of the blah handling and ride. I kept it to haul bikes and as a second car but I have no regret about the Camry at all. I forgot to mention that all the new cars I have bought had sun roof and I never used them..never so I saved some money and have no sun roof..more head room too
love the ice edge color and am trying to find one! There are not many of them made in that color. How do you like yours after living with it for 3 months?
15:04 That coin storage more important to me than I realize 😂
I absolutely love my vehicle.
Hi goid review. Can you verify if this model has full speed radar cruise control? It says safety sense 2.5 should have it but actually only the xse has that feature. The full speed rcc will bring the vehicle to a complete stop while non full speed rcc will deactivate when going brlow 20mph. Thanks.
Great video! I bought a 2022 SE a few weeks ago with 5 miles on it. I love it, I got 40mpg on the highway a few days ago on a long trip. Another SE owner came up to me annoyed because he asked if my car actually had AWD and I told him yes..he ended up being annoyed because the sales guy never told him that they offer AWD on the Camry.
how much is it
@@bushba1433 about 33 or 34 thousand with options. the LE is alot cheaper with AWD but they are hard to find.
Meh, I’d rather the FWD, better gas mileage and larger fuel tank. If I need 4WD, that’s what my truck is for. For a car like the Camry, the right tires will make a difference.
@@jaysson1151 I’m getting about the same gas mileage as the fwd. I actually didn’t know about the gas tank. Here out west, we have have been getting record snow, I’m glad I have the AWD option. We have a fwd Passat with snow tires and it struggles on our steep roads. A fwd car with snow tires will stop faster than a AWD car with all seasons (I learned my lesson) but an AWD car will always out perform a fwd car up a hill/mountain. I just think Toyota is competing with subaru at this point.
so i got a 2021 se but it doesn’t have the normal eco or sport mode options?
I copped one guys 💪🏾
How much it cost you out the door?
Just traded in our 2021 for this 2022. We love the sunroof and the dual air control
Traded in my 2019 SE for a 2022 SE, Love it, hope u are enjoy yours!!
Ive been looking into this car and the only complaint ive heard is the noise in the cabin while driving at highwayspeeds. Is this something you have an issue with?
@@bobbybigsbee3075 In my own experience with the car that hasn’t been an issue.
@@bobbybigsbee3075 not at all!! Actually just drove almost 4 hours from ABQ New Mexico to Alpine, AZ. Smooth ride and the handling is A1 🙂
@@amirrysaliev6489 thanks, Amir! I love my car 🥰 feels very luxurious without the hefty price tag! Same to you 🥂
Is there double pane windows on some cars? Never heard of that.
I got this exact Car, i really love it, this isnt your dad's Camry
The center dash display is NOT "heads up". That would be projected onto the windshield. Interesting that this SE has the cheaper, smaller center display that comes on the LE. I wonder if they changed that due to availability? My 2022 SE has the larger center dash display.
Who cares I was still very impressed with this car it has the comfort of my old Lincoln and goes pretty quick for a four-cylinder very nice car for the dollar.
One thing I would like to mention is I like the way the front end is lifted just a bit to bypass hitting parking cement stops, and It clears curbs as well so when you park your dont tear up your front end
Beautiful car.
Steve Areque 1/2022
I plan to purchase a 2022 camry se or xse l would, however, like the larger screen with navigation and leather seats. I wonder what those options will cost?
the XSE used to come with the 6 cyl engine
One question, if you don’t mind answering. When I searched the 2022 Toyota Camry it se no accessories or packages, on the Toyota website it says it has “Multi-function in-key remote keyless entry system with lock, two-stage unlock, panic, trunk-release functions and remote illuminated entry” but then the available package is smart key. So I’m confused if you have the thing where you put your hand behind the door, or if the smart key is the hand behind door. Thank you!
i believe the smart key push to start is the premium package i just bought the regular key to turn on 2022 se
Interesting it doesn't have the Hold button that I really like on my 2022 SE. I thought that was standard on the SE along with the electric parking brake. Wind noise isn't bad but there is a fair amount of road noise. Probably typical for the class but certainly not luxury.
Electric parking brake is only on AWD SE models
FYI: As of 8/22 in Canada, it’s a 5-6 month wait for a gas powered Camry and a 12-18 month wait for a hybrid Camry.
Wow… crazy but thanks for the info!!
Yeah but I want the black wheels and the panoramic sunroof! How much does it cost to buy and get black wheels put on outside the dealership?
You might be better off buying an XSE. Most of them have a sunroof and the black 19" wheels are standard. Probably not much more than buying aftermarket black wheels.
OK did you ad the led tail lights because most se"s don't even have led tail lights
I have a 2019. It’s been extremely reliable however the interior rattles are very annoying. My friends 2018 fusion titanium feels like it is so much more solid interior wise. No rattles at all.
My 07 camry feels more solid than the newer camry's. They cheaped out on the interior a bit
@@googleboy253 Yea I rode in a few of the older camrys years ago and I don’t remember any rattles or anything especially at only 30k miles lol. It’s kinda sad that his fusion almost feels like it’s a class up in quality.
I just got this car a week a go and i have been trying to get the blind sport monitor option but my camery doesn’t have it. Can someone explain why I don’t have that option it’s litterely a 2022 camery SE exact same one as in the video but it doesn’t have that option. Did i get ripped off. Please someone help
It isn’t standard. It’s an option.
I'm not sure I understand the shifter having the incorrect directions comment. Why would you want to push it down to upshift and push it up to down shift? Seems ass backwards to me
I'm looking to buy also. Just bummed about the lack of charging ports for rear passengers. 😕 but it'll be OK
Any update?
you can get them put in at any Toyota Dealer
Same here!
When you can only complain about the lack of a charging port in the rear passenger seat you know the car is good LOL.
No battery voltage indicator ! I do very short trips sometimes and need to monitor the battery. Software people can not be left alone....
0-60 is 7.5-8 seconds. That's such an important stat. Why lie about it. Toyota stopped producing camrys two years ago, so I guess the poing is mute.
I have this car in super white very good car
me to same color even with black trim
power one touch for all windows is very rare
I ordered a 22 camera se looks like I made a good decision
Does it take good pictures??
@@cloroxlysolbleachwhipes8658 hahahaha lol
With the SE, if you connect your Android phone, can you use Google maps and spotify?
@pandakilla yes
Yes
I wish I had bought the car when the video was made. I just bought a 2022 and there is no push button start, no silver available (which is the color I love), and it cost 3 grand more. Overall I am happy with the car although I don't like the onboard "black box" which tracks your travel and driving habits and who knows what else. My experience with the dealer was less than desirable which was sad as this is my first new car purchase. Why would they treat a customer well in a market that so unequally favors them? I put $ down just to have a chance of getting a 2022 (Shouldn't they be selling 2023 models at this point?) within a month or more. I just hope this Camary is hardy and long-lasting as my 2001. I will also say the 2001 was more fun to drive even with the 2022's bigger more powerful engine, the 2001 had more heart and the torque seemed better distributed.
Nice car. It isn't a good idea to rev a new engine up to the redline. What is the VIN? I would not purchase the car being tested..
If you get unintended acceleration, how do you shut off the ignition?
Hold the ignition button down and engine will shut off.
@@dannyboy8336 Thanks Danny. I always imagine that an electronic failure could lock you out of that ability. I prefer mechanical interventions, like turning a key back one click and shifting a regular non-electronically controlled transmission into neutral.
What kind of coolant is use for the car?? What's the name? Help please??
Toyota Pink SLLC 50/50 prediluted
does this car display the speed limit signs of where you are at the time
yes
I think my 2014 Toyota Camry SE is a much better design all around and has more room in it I'll probably keep my car forever it only has 70k miles on it and it's 8 years old and in great shape and runs and drives good and I barely put any miles on it as I am retired and dont work!
Just ordered one, anyone here buy one recently? How long was the wait?
I just bought one. Dealer had 2 in stock. I paid MSRP. Some dealers are marking them up 2-3k over sticker.
Sat in this for the first time, why did Toyota put all the efforts into the exterior and not so much in the interior. The doors have some very cheap plastic and it felt so hollow. Meanwhile the Sonata feels so much more upscale.
Hyundai put their money on the interior, not the engine. Thats why they keep blowing up.
@@andybub45 yeah I agree Hyundai engines are a crapshoot. Tons of fires and short lifespan motors. I have a 16 Altima. Terrific 4 cylinder in the car. Hope the CVT holds up. It drives super nice, good blend sport and comfort. I have the SR trim. Never driven the latest Camrys.
Who puts shoes in the glove box? The name implies what its purpose is and it is clearly not a shoe box.
I am one year late!! Also I still get one bro.
Wait so the se doesn’t have heated seats????
I have the se and it has heated seats
Wish you would have shown what the MID looks like when you switch between the 3 different drive modes. Other than that, great review.
Wait so the car is remote start? i thought i was key start?
It's not remote start. It's push start. It has a key fob not an actual key.
It has remote start. Make sure the car is locked and press lock, lock, lock and hold
Fucking amazing review thank you brother
Glad you liked it man thank you! 👍🏼
Blind spot monitor is nor standard just fyi
❤TOYOTA❤
No camera in the front?
For parking? You need an XSE with the top package for that.
Se 2021 have it
@@anhdau3495 I guess it depends on the package you choose
@@anhdau3495 you’re confusing the SE w XSE. The 360 camera is only available on the XSE and XLE
I used to hate that alot of the new toyotas that are not top of the line doesnt get a push button start. But now I dont mind having a key ignition. The reason why most new cars go to a push button start because of security reasons and it supposed to be alot harder to steal. Apparently it is easier to steal from what I heard. And the key type ignition are harder to steal. It is also not really mechanical ignition like the olden days. The key is special program in them for the actual car. So i kind of like having a key ignition rather than a push button start.
these are key phobs not keys
Believe it or not I actually hate push button start I always whant a key ignition.
“ oh oh okay “ lmao that car is not that fast 😂🤣 love the review
Lmao it picks up towards the higher rpms!
I know this car has a really good reputation and sells well for Toyota but just seems rather bland to me. A big zonk for me with that ipad look for the infotainment screen. Geez I hate that look. Haha
The only Toyota I’ve been in so far with a well integrated touch screen is the Tacoma, and that’s their oldest platform and we’ll see how they update the touchscreen for next years model. Seems to me that Toyota designers really like the iPad style haha
I hate Toyota infotainment system design.. It looks old to other designs...
first review of this channel; wow, lots of fanboy adjectives! tone it down, just facts and first person judgements once in a while (like in half or less). It's NOT necessary to inject an adjective to every single square inch of the car! You mentioned the $ of the car about 6 times....waaay over the top fanboy! Yes, your age group constantly and unnecessarily injects your opinion about everything, which is also fanboy but very common in your age group. < yawn > Overall good, just tone it down Bro, and be objective....no fanboy words or hype!
K5 GT would be better than a Camry SE
Yes however the SE competes closer with the GT-Line. The GT would compete with the TRD Camry with the V6 although that car is a couple thousand more expensive.
I don’t see this car no where in top 5 reliable cars though
@@brandonhumble3595 I don't see Toyota giving 10 years 100,000 miles warranty
If you trade it in ever 4 years yes you are correct however if you plan to keep the car not even close to the Toyota Camry the Camry blows in away. Will last way longer especially the four-cylinder engine with the 8-speed transmission.
This dude doesn't even know that the low and high beam are the same nor where the turn signal is 🤭
Lmaoo
You are not getting 7 seconds or under to 60 on an I4 Camry. You need to buy some instruments and get a sense for what you're talking about.
Had a Camry SE longterm. Don't let the exterior bad boy looks fool you. It drives BAD. horrible handling, unrefined transmission and engine. Handles like a sofa on wheels. The transmission is so jerky. Overall it feels unrefined. The doors feel like tin cans, cheap plastic inside. I then got the Accord sport 1.5T, what a difference. 100x better. Even though it had a CVT it felt more refined, solid car overall, handles really well and Sporty like its name. Felt quicker than the camry.
What year was yours?
@@jxmar_ 2020 SE
I’m loving mine so far
You are so full of shit I just drove this car 2 weeks ago rides like a Lincoln very smooth 4 cylinder has lots of power. It actually surprised me how refined this car is do you work for Honda lol 😂
I love your videos. I’m getting the 2022 Toyota Camry SE Hybrid. Btw do you have a Facebook or Instagram page ?
