I hate the chirping noise too. They don't sell the hygger bar in Europe 😭

Ah! Another chirp hater! Thought I was the only crazy one. 🤣
I am surprised you can’t get Hygger in Europe. What about Amazon? I know there is like Amazon UK or something right? They don’t stock some products in those warehouses I guess?

@@ssaquascapes Yeah, there's lots of us crazies out there, my wife's one too 🤣 Anyway, I have the Hygger air pump, led strip and magnet algae scraper but they don't ship the air stone for some reason, just the regular old type. Maybe they'll add it soon, I'll have to put up with the torture until they release it. Cheers from Ireland 👍

      Crazy anti-chirp people unite!
The bubble bar is a new product for Hygger so maybe they’ll add it to their shipping list soon.
      Cheers from sunny Florida! 🤘

@@ssaquascapesI ordered two from Amazon US, still no sign of releasing these in Europe. Hopefully worth the $35 shipping cost😂🤞

I like the air bar....it moves more bubbles for the same amount of air. I like to have a bubbler because of my corydoras. Really helpful when the tank is fully or overstocked.

I’ve never liked any aerator due to the noise but, in an instance of keeping this tank alive or not….air stone it is. 😁

Curious how long it lasts before it becomes clogged up, and if it can be cleaned and reused after cleaning. My experience has been that airstones never work as good after they've become clogged and then cleaned to re-use.

I’ll do an update video on it as I am sure it will get dirty in this tank due to the heavy livestock load.

I didn't know they had a bar. I have several of the Hygger 2" round air stones. I've noticed if you move them a few inches away from the back of the tank they are quieter.

I’ll have to try that. Sound reflection I guess.
The bar is new to market. Give one a try on your next project.

Thanks for the video. Maybe you could set a timer so the airstone only comes on when you are not there, after lights out for example. If plants release Co2 at night maybe that will solve your problem?

    • @ssaquascapes
      @ssaquascapes  Год назад +1

Exactly the right idea. The problem is all the plants absorb the oxygen at night. The livestock has no problem when the lights are on, so if the air pump bothers me I have an extra smart plug I’ll set up for the air pump.
Thanks for watching and the suggestion! 🤘

I'd keep the air stone and simply reduce air pressure from pump. I know they have their place but air sticks always seem showy.

I tried that. But it makes a really noticeable chirping sound as one large bubble squeezes out the side. So far after 2 days it hasn’t bothered me yet. 😁
