I am always impressed to see photographers working with minimal equipment and delivering a perfect result. Too many photographers on RUclips are trying to make us believe that it takes a crazy set-up to have a similar result.
More instruction / idea sharing videos need to follow this model. You stayed on topic, didn't make about you and provided excellent / usable information! Bravo and thank you Jeff!
Nice stuff as always Jeff. High key however isn't a result of just shooting on white, it's when their is a higher proportional amount of highlights and mid tones in the shot over shadows/darks creating a very bright blown out look.
I loved this tutorial. I love that someones showing you dont have to have a bazillion dollars of equipment to get beautiful solid images. Sometimes simple is better.. Beautiful model and just a super awesome sold tutorial :)
You can't really meter the light behind her because it's not suppose to be "Correctly exposed." Ideally you want to find a setting that creates all white light. :)
Hi Jeff, can you just make a video using speedlite, how to get that highkey background. I am struggling how to get that by looking at the histogram. Just a small one would help, Thanks!
The best way to know how much light you have/need is with a light meter. Your histogram will never tell you how much you need; all the histogram tells you is the distribution of the light in the frame. The Sekonic L308S can be purchased on ebay for about $50 US. Best investment I ever made was a light meter.
Hi jeff , I dont have a studio but I have done few on location off camera flash with one fill light , Do provide me some tips with the gear that i have . I have Speedlite with umbrella softbox and i have a reflector as well I am more interested towards outdoor off camera flash photography .

True what you say about creating beautiful images without any complicated equipments and also when you`re on the low bugget.. Many people thinks..that more things you have better your outcome is gonna be..NOT TRUE.. i work also with less equipment..and you know why?? coz i hate carrying the things oround the place...LOL...but i use ONLY what i need in any location and any situation THE OUT COME IS IMPORTANT and your Creativity...Cheers J.
