I have this weird obsession with that black and white flowered jacket Freddie has on in "Keep Yourself Alive." John, Freddie, Roger, and even Brian have been photographed in the jacket and occasionally wore it in the older videos. I always wonder 1) where they got it 2) did they wear each others' clothes often? Or do we just notice with the black and white jacket? 3) HOW did Brian fit in something that fit Freddie, Roger, and John wore?!

      🤭🤭🙌🏻🙌🏻 I have too!
Actually, I took a photoshoot and stole my mother's jacket, which is similar to that one.😂

I never saw John wear it. It probably came their way on the Kensington Market stall Freddie and Roger ran. Queen openly admitted sharing clothes in the early days, saying they were around the same size. Brian was only a few inches taller than Freddie, and slim. His hair made him appear much taller than the others.

Freddie often wore the top John is wearing under his jacket here.

These were the second KYA and Liar videos. Queen didn't like Mike Mansfield's first attempts at making the two promo videos.

Remember this with fondness seeing it on TV back in the 70's. Might have been TOTP but more likely something like OGWT. We were starved back then of decent places to watch. Thanks very much. Any idea if you'll ever get the other takes up ?

OGWT showed Keep Yourself Alive along with film compiled by the show. They had no idea who the artists were, as it was a white label. OGWT and TOTP never showed these promos. I'm not aware of anyone in the UK seeing them, though they were later screened in Japan.
