I like the Pros and Cons idea... I will be selling off a couple of my typewriters, and that is a good way to document the flaws, missing items, etc. Super idea and I'm taking it.
I'm enjoying this, I hope you show me where my serial number can be found! Mine just arrived today, and I love it -- although I am having an escapement problem (maybe)... the space bar does not advance the carriage. Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs!
Hi, I have the same RoyalLite typewriter and was wondering what you would recommend for cleaning the hammers. Mine keep getting stuck and it’s been awhile since it was used. Thanks
Hi! I have this exact typewriter. The carriage doesn't advance after typing certain keys. Do you know what might be the problem or a way to fix it? It works only for a few of them , including space bar and the tension on carriage it's good. Thanks.
Sorry for the delayed reply. That’s a difficult one for me to diagnose remotely. If the draw band is broken then the carriage would not advance with any key or even the space bar. If it’s only certain keys I would have to take a detailed look at it.
@@TypewriterMinutes Thanks for the reply. Apreciate it! Unfortunately I wasn't able to do it myself so it will sit in the corner for a while. Have a nice day!
Hello. I like the looks of the Lettera 35 but I have never typed on one. Are you looking to buy one? If you do buy it, please let me know your thoughts.
Hello, thank you for having answered me, it 's very nice of you, I think to buy it this week, new, it has never served, and I give you the link to see it, I am from Algeria. www.ouedkniss.com/machine-%C3%A0-%C3%A9crire-dactylo-olivetti-35-alger-staoueli-algerie-loisirs-divertissements-d17540159@@TypewriterMinutes
I've not used the Lettera 35, but I own a Lettera 22. They are supposed to be very similar, though some say the mechanics of the 35 are even better than the 22. The 22 has a very soft touch typing action with no finger hammering required, and a light segment-shift for uper case, and it is simply a joy to use. Both the 22 and the 35 are very durable machines that can survive daily use for decades with little or no maintenance required, as well as being stylish and timeless designs. I love mine.
After removing the body panels, I used Simple Green and a toothbrush on those panels. To clean the machine I used a combination of a specialty degreaser made by WD40 (not the regular WD40), lacquer thinner, and various brushes.
@@TypewriterMinutes thanks! I am just getting into typewriters and recently bought an Olympia SG-1. It's in pretty good condition, however the previous owner smoked, and there was a layer of tobacco about 5mm think coating the body panels inside, so I'm working on removing that!
Good luck! I had a nicotine-stained machine that was really bad-a Facit. Took several cleanings before you could see silver where before it was a gold/brown. Yuck.

Hi there. Unfortunately I longer own the Royalite and don’t recall where the serial number is. Did you find it?
That was a great review, thank you.
Thanks!

Did you have any issues with the margin release? I bought one of these and the margin release doesn't reset after it's pressed
To go to the next line is there a way without turning screw
Sorry for the delayed reply. I’m afraid I don’t understand your question.
I could see a person buying a whole bunch of these! :)
Hoe meer zielen hoe meer vreugd!!
Im looking to ad one of these to my collection what is the price range I can expect?
You can find a decent one for $30 and up depending on condition. But then you either have to clean and repair yourself or find somebody to do it.
Hi I like the typewriting machine But how to buy and where to buy this machine
Thanks for watching. I no longer own this machine but similar models pop up from time to time on eBay and other sites.
Thanks for reply

It looks very nice. I love the industrial looking case.

What product/chemicals did you use to clean it?

Great review, would have preferred without the music lol, I'm becoming too contrary in my old age and it annoys the hell out of me hahaha x
This video is adorable
Thank you!
They should be proud of their carwashes (Dutch)
I agree! www.petrolplaza.com/news/8623
Does anyone use "Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs" for type testing? lol
I do!
