Aaron maybe with drawing them, and if you choose to do it in a more cartoonish way with faces (eyes, mouth, etc) when you draw them, maybe it will enhance the plants features which will better help in naming them :) ♡♡

The second spikey boi is also an aloe!! Since it drains so much, it’s beneficial to water them a few times over a sink. That way the soil gets totally saturated! Sorry for all my comments!! I am Big Plant Dad. If you want some cheap + fast growers, look for pothos! They’re long vines in hanging baskets, they’re my fave. Just hang them away from kitties because a lot of consumption can make them sick!

Plants are such fun to care for once you start getting the hang of it. I love how you find little ways to relate to them. The second one you showed looks like it might be an Echeveria Black Prince, they turn from green to a deeper purple the more sunlight they get. The spiky ones are some kind of Zebra plant (Haworthia). Some succulents are toxic to cats so be careful with having yours chew on them often!

There are a lot of guides for plants ( especially succulents ) but they really are their own . . . plants?
Basically, they each act they’re own ways. I’ve had and helped people raise aloes or ivies and each one had it’s own attitude and needs ( ex: I cared for one ivy that grew like a tree, and the other . . . liked to grow my other plants and block out their sun. Same species. ). I find that inspirational because it reminds me that I have my own care regimen and I deserve the time to figure that out and that I shouldn’t compare myself care nor the way that I grow to others, even if they’re in the “same” situation or related to me

It's amazing to me that you also keep succulents. Everything you said about their significance was totally relatable to me. I've got five plants now (just received three more from my mother) and have been taking care of all my colleagues' plants in the office along with mine.
One thing you can do if you want to give your plants more time to drink (like those spiky boys) is to fill either your sink or a deep bowl with water and set the pot down in there for 30 mins or so to absorb water through the bottom hole and soak. If your spiky boys ever seem to need more water than you can give them, I'd give that a try. You seem to be doing awesome with all of them though! I'm sure you'll have tons more plant babies soon (they propagate like crazy when they're happy!).

@@AaronAnsuinithere's also a really amazing book called "the new plant parent" by Darryl cheng (he's the guy from "house plant journal" on insta and youtube) and although on the pricey side, it's an amazing thorough book without being too wordy and technical, along with the book aesthetic being clean and white so I find it pretty adhd/visual sensory processing friendly. his approach to plants is more holistic and wholesome which is something I appreciate.

Hi Aaron! I hope you like this information, i found plants were/are a big part of my mental health being where it is and i love looking after them and when i get one looking up everything i can!
Because you're interested in looking after them/seemed a little worried about care i thought I'd give a guess at what they are so you can look at where they might come from/the environment they like.
So! Mt nonspecific guesses at what your plants might be!:
Pachyphytum -the powdery blue is sun protection and it loves as much sun as possible! The way i tell if mine needs watering is to squish a leaf between my fingers, if it's soft it can be watered as it'll be firm when it's full! This works for pretty much any succulent as well 😊
I'm not sure, but possibly an echeveria
Spikey boi is i think a haworthia! Or an aloe (both of which need more water than most succulents)
I thiiiiink this could be an echeveria as well but it's so perfectly chunky I'm no where near sure (but i do adore it)
5th plant is a jade! Crassula ovata, it's looking amazing for the start it had in life!!
Not sure about the next spikey kiddo but it could also be a hawarthia. Either way what a cool colour/pattern!
Not sure about poor sage (i think you were joking when you said it could be, but it isn't sage!) Staking it up sounds useful!
The final is also jade/crassula ovatum! They can also take more water than the average, but as you were pinching the leaves you can also tell that way! Some people suggest not watering until the leaves start to wrinkle.
    I hope this is useful!

Your last plant is a jade :) crassula ovata. You also look to have a zebra haworthia (the spikey boi with white stripes!)
This was such a wholesome video and has made me sorta decide to change to terracotta and repot all of my plants! They have had a tough year of neglect and my big jade, who I've had for years, has sadly gotten root rot from me panicking and overwarering after a period of drought :( so I think it'd be healing for both me and them to spend an afternoon nurturing them, looking at their roots, refreshing their soil and providing better pots with cute little saucers 😍

Hopefully they’ll be more happy when I re-plant them & the winter comes cause now one of them has gotten some brown tips on the leaves that makes me a bit concerned.

I love this video! My best friend got me to keep plants alive after years of not being able to. I started with three, and now I have twenty! And now I also work in a garden centre with many plants :3 My favourite one that I own is a Crassula ovata 'coral' (a different type of plant than the crassula you showed as your last plant), because it kind of looks like coral

I'm such a caretaker, my plants end up overwatered if I'm not very very careful and self-disciplined. I just like paying attention to them so much!! Right now my favorite (a polka-dot plant) is getting tons of new growth but losing older leaves.....

I am living vicariously through you b/c a recent infestation wrecked all my houseplants
