What I want to see is someone with a less privileged passport to travel to all countries, like she did. It is not easy when you have a passport that lets you go to 185 countries and territories without a travel visa, or with a visa on arrival. Visas take a beating out of your pocket and slows you down, definitely. So, congrats Lexie, you did good, and you did have immense luck and privilege to assist you as well.

Most sport records are held by people privileged enough to have the time and resources to train and buy equipment. Just a heads up, I strongly don’t recommend woman with not much travel experience to go traveling alone in certain countries. There are a lot of articles online about women that ended up unfortunate fates even when not being intoxicated.
Actually I’ve been to Yemen in 2007 and again in 2009 and 2010 way before the war, and honestly I’ve had the time of my life, it was so safe, even some people sleep with doors unlocked. The hospitality and the people are amazing, I wish there was never war there 😔

It’s funny because I just yesterday starting booking things for a trip in December. I am a 21 year old female and I am going to 6 new to me countries by myself on this trip. I have very little fears and concerns traveling alone. I have done it before and I have even done it before I was even 18 and went to a foreign country as a teen by myself. There is something very liberating about traveling by yourself especially as a woman. It gives you a unique sense of independence. The biggest difference when traveling alone as man vs a woman is how alert you have to be to your surroundings. You can’t be oblivious. As long as you are in control of your situation at all times you should be fine. I have actually seen her videos before and she has talked specifically about traveling alone as a female and her biggest tip is to be aware and to not have anything clouding your mind. This means no getting drunk or doing drugs of any type.

YEMEN 🇾🇪 is the unpolished gem 💎 of the Arabian peninsula and maybe the world , surprisingly it’s one of the most beautiful , fascinating countries that iv ever visited , with monuments old as civilization itself , it has the most kind, gentle , hospitable people , I’m not surprised tourist find it’s the most intense , largely because tourism has never really taken off , war, poverty and the media have also given it a bad wrap , you will only understand if you’ve had the blessing of visiting YEMEN and submersed yourself with the people and it’s culture , one of life’s best experiences ... ! Planning my next trip when this corona thingy takes the back seat :-).

It’s funny because I just yesterday starting booking things for a trip in December. I am a 21 year old female and I am going to 6 new to me countries by myself on this trip.
I have very little fears and concerns traveling alone. I have done it before and I have even done it before I was even 18 and went to a foreign country as a teen by myself. There is something very liberating about traveling by yourself especially as a woman. It gives you a unique sense of independence.
The biggest difference when traveling alone as man vs a woman is how alert you have to be to your surroundings. You can’t be oblivious. As long as you are in control of your situation at all times you should be fine.
I have actually seen her videos before and she has talked specifically about traveling alone as a female and her biggest tip is to be aware and to not have anything clouding your mind. This means no getting drunk or doing drugs of any type.

Easy to say it when you have wealth... Lucky for her. For the ones like me that have to work my ass off to continue traveling is a struggle.
