I know it’s a car comparison but that was pretty damming evidence when you stopped on the track and all the Forza AI kept hitting you and couldn’t get past while the GT7 AI had no problem. And people shit on GT AI drivers. 🤔
Hey, you're correct; the AI in Forza is also shocking. My comments about it being a car comparison are just a little dig at the fanboys who ask why I'm not showing the track and gameplay, even when I state that it’s a car comparison. I'm happy to talk about other topics in the comments when it’s natural and not just fanboy chatter.
i dumped an unholy amount of time in GT7. It's AI (normal AI not sophy) is extremely fast with the right settings. Because the AI mostly follows a set line, it's needs cars or tunes that suits how it drives (cars or tunes that rotate off throttle). Also if you have boost set to weak the AI will race you better.
Expected it to be closer since this car is a staple of car culture. Leave it to Forza to F it up, it’s like they didn’t want to put effort into the car details. By the way nice AR
Not only that, but it’s also such an easy car to model. Even Roblox has better models. In fact, I might just make that video, haha. Anyway, thanks. It’s only a .22 with 30 rounds, semi-automatic. We can't have real ones here; it's real and replicated, but they're used for pests or targets. The law here is strict; we can't even have pepper spray, which makes zero sense. If you shot someone with this, especially with pointed tips, it could do some serious damage or even be lethal if shot in the right place. And yet, you can still have crossbows, haha.
Well that sucks about your laws I live in a big 2nd Amendment state it is a pass time here I have 3 AR a shotgun and a few handguns and going to the range is one of the best hobbies to have other than cars

When I see positive comments about Forza 8 vs GT7 it feels like they're made by people from 2011 who haven't noticed just how far Forza has fallen compared to GT. Back in 2011 it was true that Forza has many strengths compared to GT5 and GT6, like the interiors, sound, AI, driving model and so on. But at this point I question if you're even human if you argue passionately in favor of Forza. It's either bots, someone who works at or for Turn10, or someone with issues I'd like to describe in simple terms but can't because youtube's filters would ban this comment.

I could show you lots of things Forza Motorsport does better than GT7. Imagine a racing game in 2024 with 2d cardboard trees, fake collisions, no damage, no sign of wear at the cars' body, a depressing depiction of LeMans La Sarthe etc. But your hate against FM doesn't allow you to see reality. Calling people "non-human" for stating things that anyone can notice, is just sad bro.
Also interesting Note: there are two AE-86, the standard with digital gauge and the Sprinter Trueno GT-AE-86 (Shigeno version), which is a homage to Initial D and its Author

even tho this is the initial d car, i would have rather had the drift kings car (keiichi tsuchiya) witch is what the manga car is based on, even tho the interior is different the the original car

You ever notice how it's usually GT RUclipsrs (among actual PC sims too) getting to attend actual race events and not usually Forza players/RUclipsrs? Or is my RUclips algorithm just not giving me those FM RUclipsrs? I was just watching SuperGT's most recent video where he was DQ'd from the race, but he mainly plays GT7 on his channel.
It's also interesting to see Kazunori showing up to race events, like the recent Nurburgring 24hr race that SuperGT posted. You'll see him at the 10:27 mark.
I've seen this with several RUclipsrs over the years going to actual events, and they play GT7 on their channel. I've seen a few times (and im sure there is more) where Kaz shows up to them to watch. I know he has driven on some tracks as well. So where is this kind of passion at T10? It felt like they had a bit of that passion in the dirst few Forzas, back when Dan Greenwalt used to be the front and center of the advertising, but not anymore.
I just thought it was funny, so I mentioned it. 😂 And to any haters that read this, I'm sure it's mind boggling to you when I say this as someone who is a huge fan of Forza games. Lol.

I noticed something. The AE86 Trueno speed limiter didn't beep in Forza Motorsport while Gran Turismo 7 have beeping like AE86 should be. Oh it's beeping on 100 KM/H (62 MP/H)

im gonna tell you, i was never a gt guy growing up, i was never a racing game person growing up, i liked them but for me i never bothered sticking to it. today i love rally games (and maybe thats why this showed up in my feep). I dont have a ps5 and no xbox, only a med pc. thats said...holy fcking shit GT7 is so gorgeous, im whachting this with yt compression in 1080p, i can only imagine this in real time 4k in front of me, the details are mind blowing. im really impressed.

I’ve been playing both GT & FM since the very beginning & this is what I gotta say…
Gran Turismo celebrates the automobile & embraces Motorsports as a whole while Forza Motorsport is a power fantasy for children & an ego booster for wannabes. I did enjoy FM3 & 4 but people are finally waking up to the fact that Turn 10 has been checking out since the Xbox One era.
Sorry dude, but that's false. GT7 looks and feels very unrealistic in many aspects: the static camera, slow feeling, exaggerated waxing, fake collisions, no visible damage or wearing. Forza Motorsport feels more realistic in all those aspects. The cars in GT7 look very detailed and the presentation is like an encyclopedia for car lovers, i'll give you that. But as for Motorsports, GT7 is depressing: they put several different types of racing cars in the same race instead of separated by divisions. Every month Forza adds at least 3 new iconic racing cars from history. GT7 instead gives you subs, ambulances, slow city cars, and fictional concept cars. Funny you mentioned "power fantasy for children" when that's the best description for all those GT concept cars.

Honestly I hate the steering animations so much in every FM title. Been a real sore spot. Comparing interior views would make a hell of a video. GT7 nailed it. Other titles do as well. Maybe inspo for a video down the road... easy pickings to stab at Forza's stiff-armed janky animations
The AE86 looked like a fuckin’ toy car in Forza games. Hell, with due respect, Turn 10 confirmed that this is one of the few cars that will be remodeled to look like the real car like GT. I think we will see an accurate AE86 model in Forza with Horizon 6.

GT7 VR (and with a wheel, obviously) is just Fantastic. SO good. I PRAY they will give it a PC release so I can either have it full-res rendered or crank up the quality both in and around the FOV-iated rendering to the level of detail they actually programmed vs. what can be rendered on PS5 in realtime.
might never happen for gt7 but there should be ps-vr 2 support on steam in the coming year or 2, the vr showroom textures (not lowered graphically) in real time races would be wild tho
I bought a PS5 recently, got GT7, and went back to get PSVR2 as it will also be PC compatible. I have a confession to make... with VR, it feels like I am next to real cars. Some so amazingly beautiful I start to stalk them for a bit to just gasp at them until I realize again I have a race on my hands that requires a win. 😮 amazing detail!
There is one gripe I have. The steering wheel position doesn't corrospond with your input as a player. So I have little input as to where my front wheels are pointing to. Especially in a drift.

@zbyszekmormol9055 Which does nothing for the virtual rotation of the steering wheel. Which is limited in rotation speed due to the driver character animation limitations. Which unfortunately robs me of an important bit of info once you remove the HUD for VR immersion's sake.
you need to change the wheel sensitivity in game, same with controller, if your using the controller with motion steering enabled, its 1 to 1 rotation on all of the steering wheels on the cars, there should be a guide somewhere that tell u the correct setting for each wheel for gt7 on ps5

Yeah, it's sad that it has become somewhat of a cash grab. People don't understand that I loved Forza, and now it's just gone. The soul and heart of the game are no more.
GT7 does everything better than Forza!!! I usually play GT7 with a wheel and VR. You can't beat the VR experience. Forza lacks so many small details compared to GT. I never used real money to purchase cars in the game. I raced for a year to get collect all 505 cars in GT. Forza fanboys are not car enthusiasts at all.

- All tracks have dynamic weather and day cycle while GT7 only a few
- FM has 24 cars on track, GT7 has 18
- FM has Ray Tracing on gameplay, GT7 only replays and photomode
- In GT7 races feel super slow and the camera is awful. It feels fake. On FM the sense of speed is much better and the camera feels as watching a real race.
- MP has more variety of events and tracks
- Every new update in FM brings new racing cars and new tracks almost every month. GT7 gives us boring grandpa cars and it's been 8 months since the last time they added a track.
- FM has actual damage, collisions, and dirt. GT7 damage is almost invisible, colisions are a joke, and cars always remain 'full of Vaseline'.

GT7 is just massively superior to Forza when it comes to car details. You'd have to be severely visually challenged to argue otherwise. Sure, there might be some things that Forza does better. I struggle to find something, but nevertheless there might be something.

FM has issues, but at least Turn 10 keeps improving the game. Same cannot be said about tons of GT7 issues. And I play both games. I just find baffling how people here are so quick to hate on FM but keep quiet about all things GT7 has worse

-GT7 sense of speed feels slow because you need to see the brake indicators on the track in order to brake.
-Ray Tracing does not make the slightest of difference when you're being rammed by everyone on turn 1.
-You are not a part of Car Culture if you think GT7 only gives "Boring grampa cars." The road car came before the race car.
-There is no variety of events in FM, only racing. No drag racing, no drifting, none of that.
And don't even get me started on Single-Player.

@andreasmoller9798 What is crazy, is that most of these people who say the same thing all the time on this channel, it's like they have other accounts just to keep spreading the same message, to make it look like their favored game is the best. Most of the people, you will notice their accounts haven't been around long either.
There are things I wish GT7 did better, but the point of these videos is because T10 developers kept going on and on and on about their advanced visuals and even claiming no other racing game looks better and whatever else I already forgot. I used to be able to quote every word for SEVERAL different comment they made on visuals alone. Yet it came out being visually disappointing. Even with update 9's slight color changes. I'm still not impressed with it. Cars still look plastic and a LOT are modeled badly. Environment still doesn't look realistic to me. It's like a cartoon world. Grass still looks bad. Tress are nice. BRAVOOOOI!!! 🤦♂️
Another thing you'll notice about these new or newish accounts that comment here, is that they dissappear for a while, then someone you normally see hating magically pops up in the comments. Lol. There's always this wierd gap between accounts.

The reason why gt7 only has a few tracks with full weather dynamics is due to the realism bc in forzas the hydroplaning is so unrealistic and the puddle building is shit
The track detail is more realistic in gt7 you must be blind asf to not know just look at the nurburgring comparisons gt7 has all correct kerb heights compared to forzas flat kerbs or tall asf kerbs and don't forget they said they built the track from the ground up yet its the fucking same as the previous titles
RayI fact tracing is a thing you can see in gaminfact more realistic because the lighting not making everything look like cheap ass plastic that reflects way too much light fun fact look outside your window and what do you see? You don't see lighting like forzas do you no bc forzas has a stylistic choice that chooses to be more appealing instead of realistic and gt7 looks almost exactly the same as on track compared to photomode
The sense of speed is I like to think more realistic due to tracks being very big belive it or not, not everything has to look like no hesi type shit were 40 mph looks like ur going 400 mph
On gt7 the event varies from time trails, 15 mins to 1 hr races against randoms, there are quali events that if ur good enough you can join professional races which will be hard for some1 like u lol
If you think you can think of better cars to add which aren't time attack cars nor modified cars
It takes so long to add a track due to the amount of detail such as slight elevation changes bumps actual good sized kerbs and actual laser scans that actual track every single little crack and crevice instead of being a flat surface with just a lazy arse texture fm7 cough cough
Yh your damage physics might be a little better but you wouldn't need to have damage if you could actually drive properly and not crash into everyone you see
Collisions in forza are highly overly exaggerated because most of the time irl wouldn't really affect you unless ur intent is to pit maneuver somebody
Dirt physics are fine in gt7 and feel like mostly any wrc or rally game I've ever played although saying you've only tried forzas dirt physics says something
When you say collisions I'm guessing you mean door to door banging which irl would only leave maybe a dent or scratches which is what happens in gt7

I'm a massive GT fan since the first game all the way, I have played Forza games in the past and they just don't compare, but I don't think it's fair comparing two different car models, even though we all know GT would still smash it.
Forza does have fully 3D trees, so I do credit it for that.
Its a game about cars and not trees, they should have spent that time to fix the car models instead.

As an owner of a 1984 AE86, I can say the ONLY thing that Forza has correct is the wheels that my personal car has on it. Everything else is horrifyingly bad, GT7 is so much more accurate to the car in my garage right now.

Agreed, the details in GT7 are untouchable and mind blowing. I do play Forza sometimes on pc. I much prefer GT7, I do like the Rivals mode in Forza, wish GT7 had that mode as I don’t play multiplayer and never will.
The biggest gripe for fm is the texture. Model fidelity can be low, but with current gen, it’s texture and hope they interact with lightening that makes or breaks its look. The paint just isn’t good, and is shown especially in night time where it just doesn’t react realistically.
One thing I want GT to improve if the animation of gear change as it looks slow and stiff. And also an option to have 3rd person camera work like it did in gt3 (or basically any fm). While harder too get scruffy and consistency, it does make correcting oversteer and nester harder. So at least a choice of the two would be good

Am i glad i got GT7 for my PS5. I was lucky to get it on sale (The deluxe even) and im surprised on how much Polyphony improved GT7 Since its release.
Forza has a better single-player mode than GT7. It's not a great one, but it's passable.

btw from what I heard the GT-Apex trim was meant to be a Luxury trim so it had Digital dashboard as standard and no options to revert it back to analog . So... Benefit of doubt let's think Forza had done their research and decided to go with the analog one because of some Tofu Delivering Anime, but in that case, you can't really justify it being "realistic" I guess

gt apex trim is not luxury but sporty trim and the one in gran turismo 7 with a digital dash (very rare ) was a optional only in 1983 pre face lift version while the 1985 aea6 gt apex had no option for digital dash

Still though, at least having the clock showing a time is a nice detail, something that Turn 10 deemed not worth their time apparently.

That AE86 is sacrilege, it doesn’t take an AE86 owner to know they completely messed up the car’s looks and details, even NFS 2015’s AE86 is better than Forza’s. On the other hand I got blown away with GT’s AE86 ever since they introduced it in GT Sport, I just wish they added a kouki version too

Dont hold your breath. None of the updates will fix the inaccurate car models, fm took 6 years to come out so it should be in a much better state than it is, fm did so much better in 360 days.

The car models are different the FM one is the AE86 Trueno, and the GT7 one is the sprinter trueno GT-APEX AE86 Shuichi Shigeno edition that's why the speedo and dash are so different. I'm not defending FM I still think all/most of the models on FM are bad compared to GT7's.
They are both the same ae86 it's just that the stock 1983 ae86 in gran turismo 7 is prefaclift with optional digital dash while forza version is 1985 ae86 hence why the shigeneo version is slightly close

You are using the wrong version of the GT7 Corolla - that one you have is the Shingo edition (a special edition), meanwhile there’s a standard edition that is more similar to the Motorsport one, please consider this next time before making the comparison (even if it’s just a graphics comparison).

Gran Turismo is a IP that has a passion for cars, car collection, visual and dimensional accuracy of the cars and tracks ... its for true car lovers.
Forza is an IP that has a passion for getting the product out and making money. It just needs to be close enough. There is no passion for the cars, the tracks for their accuracy. It is a game for someone who just wants to jump in a race and have some progression to work towards.
Both games have online lobbies of asshole drivers at every rank unfortunately for the players on both platforms.
Love what you love, play what you want; don't lie to yourself about the facts. You can prefer Forza even though its not as accurate visually and in a physics sense.
I personally played a bit of F7, its still on my drive. I prefer GT7. If I'm going to play a car I drive, it would be GT7. Just like if I'm going to play a single player/co-op RPG, I'm playing Elden Ring. I love Oblivion, but it doesn't look as good, it isn't designed as well. Skyrim wasn't 'better' for me, and ES:O isn't it either, I'd play WoW or FFXIV before I'd touch ES:O again, but people LOVE ES:O, good for them; just like great for you if you love F8.
People love shit cars, and those shit cars are their passion and the right car for them ... doesn't mean they should 'convince' anyone else that their shit car is right for anyone else other than an enthusiast.
Rotary engine cars aren't shit cars, but most people should steer far away because most people don't have the needed focus to maintain them so they run for hundreds of thousands of miles; you have to change the spark plugs and coils every 20k. Oil every 3k. Cooling system needs to be on point. Most people don't check their oil between 10k+ changes, they never think about ignition system. They barely pay attention enough to put gasoline instead of diesel in their cars. They want to spend money on looks, whack wheel set ups, and go-fast parts without any reliability or preventative maintenance. They'll buy a cold (hot) air intake but the idea of replacing spark plugs, brake fluid/coolant exchanges, etc. is a burden too much to bear.
People are crazy is my ultimate conclusion to it all. They want echo chambers, not reality. They want to ignore important things and focus on irrelevancy. So of course they chose a game and fight for it to be the best as if facts/reality doesn't exist.
How about this; I feel Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero is a better game than Forza 8. I don't have to convince you, it is my personal, biased, subjective feeling. Objectively, its an old game, old engine, low poly visuals, less than perfect physics ... but it has character/spirit/passion and it 'feels' better to me (subjectivity, like people who prefer F8 or F'23?). I have no reason to go on Forza videos and yell at them why I think TXR:Z is better to me. I also find it pointless to express why GT7 is better; they are the ones that think a Pinto is better than a Camaro because its a Ford vs GM. Their biases and subjective opinion is the only reality and they will plug their ears and talk over you to not see objectivity because their fragile souls can't engage with what they like, it has to also be the best ever and everything else sucks. What low self-esteem, I feel sorry for them.
You pointed out of my biggest issues with FM. There is no sense of progression or accomplishment with anything. It feels like the game just throws all the cars at you immediately. There’s no urge to work towards something because almost every car is a race or two away from purchasing

Shots fired!!! I had someone argue with me that Forza has better cars and GT only had grandfather cars for old people. I can tell that comment was left by someone who was young and has no appreciation for the classic sports cars from the past! I'd much rather drive flat out in a 1988 Honda crx than a 2020 Hurácan any day. Hell I'd take a fox body 5.0 over a modern Shelby! Some people think that if your game doesn't have the most modern cars and only modern cars then your game isn't worth playing and that's just a bad look. If it weren't for GT back in the day I'd never have discovered the Nissan Sileighty, one of my all time favorite JDM cars. Great video as always mate!

Honestly, I still feel like Motorsport 8 has tons of untapped potential. The devs are just too complacent and lazy to make that potential, a reality. The T10 we knew and some of us even grew up with, is gone. Also, "built from the ground up" 😂😂😂.
im sure microsoft have a large portion of blame, probably didn't give them the funding or the time to do the game justice.. dont believe how long they say it was in development, most of that was probably 3 guys adjusting code from the last game until 1 year before release when they put a team on it

Wow. It's nice to know that the A.I. in Forza is still god awful. Guess I won't waste my time with it. That was one of the things that really ruined immersion for me on Forza Motorsport 7. Even on the hardest difficulty they were this brain-dead.

I have been a fan of the forza franchise since the first game that came out back in the days of the original xbox, I have had all of them including the horizons, and the truth is I am very disappointed, I even bought the ultimate edition, and I could not believe what I was playing, neither in terms of graphics or gameplay, this is going to be the last time I buy it without watching videos or playing it, it's a joke what they did to their fan base, after waiting for several years it has no point of comparison with gran turismo 7, the only thing I don't like about gran turismo is the fixed angle of the camera, but from then on everything is better.

Forza is just a cheap asset flip. Many of the car models date back to FM2! They are highly inaccurate and still even have the same old texture mapping bugs.
Gran Turismo is actually made with passion and we can notice that.

@M5BLLHM I didn't answer your question, because it looks like you threw that out there just to say it, and not as an actual fact. Have you seen the player base. Since release, FM gets less players each month. GT7 still has a lot of players. If you can't find a lobby, it doesn't mean anything really. Sometimes that can happen on popular first person shooters as well. Means nothing.

Some cars in FM are outdated yes (they are currently reworking them). But the circuits in FM are one generation ahead of GT7.
The circuits in FM7 are unrealistic in terms of details, just a case of having more props on the scenery areas to make it seem like a more detailed game. At the end of the day, none of it is accurate to the circuits in real life and it only serves to "wow" the easily impressionable playerbase.

1. Micro transactions up the whazoo in GT. Once the GT7 honeymoon period was over and the micro transactions came along I can see why it was review bombed.
2. They kill off the previous GT game the SECOND the new one is released. Whereas I can go play FM6 still even to this day.

They made an offline patch to gt sport so you can still play that. Same thing could be happening to gt7 as well after gt8 has come out.
