The third game was insane…
For the puzzle...
Nxe6+ Kh7 Qxg7# or Nxe6+ g5 hxg6# (en passant checkmate)
another line:
Nxe6+ f4
Qxg7#
Wrong
If black move' s a another piece
@@sharifatkhan9423 what other move(s) black has other than Kh7,g5 and f4?
@@user-ej7sr3ow8b None
Amazing list! For reference:
Game 3: Lewis vs Dayton, 1942
Game 2: Young vs Barden, 1945
Game 1: Muller vs Bayer, 1908
Puzzle: Gundersen vs Faul, 1928
Nxe6+, Kh7, Qxg7++
Nxe6, g5, hxg6++ (en passant)
Third game was so crazy!
3rd game is a gem/
2 birds with 1 pawn... i love GM Igor
Fantastic, need more of such games to learn middlegame.
reminds of tal's famous sacrifices, great video, man 🤙🏻
Why is no one wondering who the players were? I want to know!
The third one is Muller vs. Bayer
Thank you
Very informative
The solution to the puzzle is Nxe6+ discovered check, followed by Qxg7#, or if g5 blocks the bishop's diagonal, hxg6# discovered check from the rook and mate.

I saw that video of tal’s rule to attack but I didn’t understand what’s the specific rule(s) and what’s the step by step I need to apply in my games to create a good plan. Could you explain it please? Thx.
Knight g5 to e6
The best I got was winning the Q. Seems that I don't have the patience 4 puzzles.
@R.Akerman-oz1tf
If you mean Nf6+ then capture the queen after the king moves, it would be an equal trade since your queen is already hanging.
But you wouldn't need to do that since after the discovered check from bishop after moving the knight to e6, black king would have to move Kh7 and then white Qg7 is checkmate, that's why he said mate in 2, no need to take queen with the knight
@@Cyano_Xchrono u don't take the queen. #in 2 from that position
@@Cyano_Xchrono the king doesn’t have to move they can play g5 and then en passant #
Puzzle solution: Nxe6+, delivering a discovered check from the bishop on c1. Black's options are Kh7 and f4. Either way, Qxg7 delivers the mate.
Oops, just noticed that black could also play g5. In that case, hxg6 e.p. is mate.
In game 3, at 11:54, after Bxd1?, white does not even need to recapture on d1, as Qg3+ would lead to checkmate on g7 (Bg4 and Bg7 don't really help).
Puzzle: Nxe6+ and Qxg7#
Yep, I came to say this. 👍
So did I. White missed mate in 1 in order to be more spectacular a few moves later. He had that luxury.@ck555
Igor you made an analysis error at 11:41, if bishop takes on d1, the next move would not be recapturing with rxd1 attacking the queen, there is a stronger mate in 3 with qg3+, forcing a checkmate because the bishop is already off of the defensive diagonal.
Genius!
daaaayum those are some real ballsy checkmates
Puzzle solution: Nxe6+
If black f4, Qxg7#
If black g5, hxg6#
If black Kh7, Qxg7#
now those are works of art!
Kinght to e6 reveals discovered attack to the black king follow up move queen to g7 delivering check-mate
Aman Hambleton has the best checkmate ever. Mate delivered with ALL pieces on their starting squares. Genius ❤
❤
Nxe6 followed by Qg7+ checkmate
Yup!
Please make a video on *Hyper Accelerated Dragon Sicilian*
Spectacular..
Solution to puzzle: 1.Nxe6+ f4 2.Qxg7#
1.Nxe6+ g5 2.hxg6#
1.Nxe6+ Kh7 2.Qxg7#
Kxe6+! If f4 to block the check, than Qxg7#. If Kh7, than also Qxf7#
at 1:09 the move for black is Rf1
love your joyful, irreverent attitude - like a fresh breeze on a muggy day
1. Nxe6+, Kh7
2. Qxf7#
Nxe6+ Kh7
Qxg7#
If Nxe6+ g6
hxg6#
The royal fork Nf7+ looks juicy, but it's a trap.
very good
Knight e6 and Queen g7
Why not, in the last exemple, after Bxd1 directly Qg3+ Bg4 Qxg4+ Bg7 Qxg7 checkmate?
at 4:56 why didn’t white play b4 instead of castling forking the knight and bishop?
Knight g5 to e6 then black's move king h7 or pawn f4 then queen g7
knight e6, the rest is pretty straight forward
The first game is lewis vs dayton 1942
Knight E6 and queen G7
Lol, idk why; but I actually could solve it by myself on the queen G1, followed up with all the following movements afterwards😅❤
third game, white does NOT retake after BxRd1 preventing Qg4+, bacause Qg3+ mates.
Please video on the English botwinik
Solution to the puzzle: 1. Nxe6 dis ch followed by 2. Qxg7 mate regardless of what Black plays.
No there is g5 😅
Knight takes e6 and then checkmate with queen
1) Ngxe4 Kh7
2) Qxg7#
Knight e6 queen g7
I found the move in a flash
11:41 why not Qg3?
You've played chess for twice as long as it's been since I've learned the rules🌚
Всегда так играю
Wow who is the evil genius who played with white in the 3rd game?! Many brilliant moves.
His name is Hans Muller
Name speaks for itself!@@Rares-ConstantinMihaila
Knight e6, Queen g7
if Ne6, then Pf4 stops mate in 2
2 variations:
Ne6+ f4, Qg7#
Ne6+ Kh7, Qg7#
I'm part of Igor nation :3 not only i bought a course from him (and will probably buy more xD) but he is also the one that introduced me to b3/b6 xD
[Yeah yeah I know b6 isnt the best but it works fine at my level and i like the playstyle that comes out of it, if i had more time and will to study more theory i'd try other defences too, but right now I need more training on middlegame/endgame]
@@desmyt67However, there is a third variation: Ne3+ g5, hxg5# (en passant)
it Ne6+ the knight cannot possibly go to e3
@@08raghav6c7yeah sorry xD messed up 3 with 6 while writing ahaha
@@friederermel116ouch it hurts to see i missed it xD i considered this move before while i was analyzing another line... thx for the hint! :P
11:25 why bother retake the bishop on D1?? just go queen g3. :D and for the puzzle to help the youtube algorytm..
knight g6. followed by queen g7.. does not matter if black moves pawn or king.
Nxe6
it is simple check with horse and the check with queen hahahahah
Knight to E6
Queen to G7
Why can't the king take the queen?
Knight protects
@@houstonisgreat1387 oh yeah, I get it now.
Kg5 to f7 than black King is forced to move to h7 white queen to g7
Brother please reply to me...please!!!

Qg4#
Why dancing with the knife more?
I dont think it's the best checkmate, if even I can solve it😊.
My Elo is just 1550 btw
I think it's actually mate in 3 - Nxe6+ f4; Bxf4+ then either ... g5; hxg5++ or ... h7; Qxg7++
Sus moments
9:57 cover my back rank 😩
10:27 sneaks into the back rank 💦
10:30 rook there pinning the bishop 🥵
10:40 keep marching forward 💨
12:31 grab a bigger fish 🍑

Thanks for this video,. As the boy on the Tricycle in The Incredibles exclaimed, "That's totally wicked!!"
Yeah Nxe6+, followed by g5, hxg4 e.p.# OR f4/Kh7, Qg7#
BO - briliant and oustanding.
woooow this is a great puzzle, a checkmate with enpassant!!! So Nxe6+ g5, h6 - checkmate wit enpassant!
For m2 Kxe6 Qxg7#
