As a Canadian born in Canada, I wanted to better understand the view from immigrants. Very informative. Very well communicated. Immigrants that come here with the right attitude are really helping to make this country a better place.
Nice video Seyi. The thing is, if you’re coming from Nigeria all these factors won’t deter you because your first priority is to escape from lack of electricity, armed robbers, kidnappers, Fulani herdsmen, SARS/SWAT, poor medical facilities, bad roads and the more than 1000 ways to die early in Naija. So being rich does not save you from any of the above maladies. So, except those who have not evaluated their reasons for relocating, staying alive and stability is a key driver for many. Keep up the good work. 👍
You have said it all... Relocating to Can Still remains the best option.
Very valid point. The way a guest on my channel put it - In Nigeria we are battling external demons, but in Canada those things are gone, we now have to battle internal demons. So safety and security is key. Wealth cannot help with that.
I'm sorry to type this,my dear,'them neva know sùwat"... still depressed about the lekki killings and all i can think of is how to get out of here fast.
Totally agree, it's a matter of life and death
@@FeyiMac stop putting fear in us, stop it😡. Be it any situation Canada is far more better than Nigeria in all ramifications.
Plz come back to Nigeria and see even with the millions one is might be making here Nigeria there is no security,
Canada has brought out the DIY in me😂😂
Nice one girl ❤️
Haha, Same here! Thanks hun 🌹

Wow miss Amaka, Happy to see you here....I was just a minute ago in your channel.
Hello dr. Can we relate for good
Omo!! This was definitely worth the watch. I loved how you made this video like a one-on-one gist with a paid. As a visual learner, I absolutely love it. Here's me going to binge on some more.
Aww, many thanks!
This video is right on point, Canada can be humbling and boring, you just have to make it fun for yourself to remain sane, I jejely started my RUclips channel, mental health is important. Great video 👍
So true! One needs to be very intentional about these things.
I just subscribed 😍
Weird comment, canada can be boring. Maybe you're boring. Ridiculous
Better bored than broke
Just 20seconds in, and must confess you are a very wise, open-minded woman.
Thanks so much. 🙏
Many thanks! 🌹🌹
Feyi:
You are right by saying one need to unlearn old ways and relearn new things in a different environment. Nice Feyi.
Your laughter is so contagious. I keep smiling when I watch your videos. Good points discussed!
Hi Feyi, am from Nairobi, Kenya. I really love your openness and honesty about your presentations on African culture and their attitude towards everything you talked about. This video on why not go to Canada is a MUST watch for those aspiring to move to a humble country.
Why don’t u ask them to come home and see their response they are deceiving people into more poverty. You can’t be in Canada and be telling people not to come it’s ridiculous
Pray for wisdom and understanding. And watch all my other videos teaching how and why to move to Canada
So apt. It's the multiple stream of income for me and also strategically planning and agreeing with ones partner.
Thanks Feyi. Really insightful.
Glad you enjoyed the video! 🌹
Being polite always translate to something better.
It opens some doors to opportunity.
A good system starts from being polite to each other.....it's just what it is
Very true!
Feyi, you did an excellent job. Nice one. Thanksfully, I have learnt a lot living in Dubai (working & living with diverse cultures). Abroad is definitely not for the weak!
Thank you! 🌹
I appreciate this video. I was born here and you gave some great points. Very informative!
Thank you 🙏
It's good to know the good, the bad and the ugly. It helps u prepare and make an informed decision. Thanks for this video
articulate information.I have fallen in love with your authenticity.
Thank you
Hello Feyi!!! I really enjoyed this video. The content was hilarious, entertaining and enlightening. Looking forward to Part 2. Keep up the splendid work.
Thank you 🙂🙂
Great story of you coming to Canada. Sending love from Montreal. I'm looking forward to visiting my country of origin as I miss my family, friends, and all the simple stuff back home. Canada has been a great home away from home for me.
Art by Hazel what country are you originally from?
I like you. You speak the truth and not even just about Canada but life principles. ''If you think you have arrived, there are people who have arrived more than you. Be humble!!!'' I like this so much! You speak to me and humanity at large.
Thank you 🌹🙏
Hi
I’ve been in Canada for 2 years plus now. This video sums it all up! Very apt! Well done ❤️
Am going to Canada to study a certificate course oh. i was told i would be able to start work in 2weeks and earn 7 dollars per hour and i can work 8 hours in a day. please am i save
Me I can talk loud oooo🤣🤣🤣🤣.
And for the DIY thing God will help us. Thanks for this video sis
I have done my ECA, preparing for ielts already. Will be thankful if I can be part of this week's winners.
This is such a good video on some of the challenges that new immigrants to Canada might face and a very eye opening perspective for me to understand ways that new immigrants might be shocked by Canadian culture. Looking back now, I can see many instances in my life where I've seen new immigrants face challenges adapting to Canadian society, especially as it is a very unique and weird country to adapt to.
PS your Canadian girl accent killed me, it was so spot on.
So glad you gained some insights from this video. Thanks for watching! 🌹🌹
Another great video. All points are perfect! As long as you decided to move to Canada, you should be ready for what it takes to live there.
I know a lot of people who found it difficult to leave their oil company jobs in Nigeria to move to Canada. They continued to shuttle and can't really decide on what to do.
Note to such people. Decide on what you want. Money or stable lifestyle? Shuttling is a stress on growing family.
Good job!
So true!
What's stable about the lifestyle in Canada where most jobs are either casual, temporary and/or part time?
Love love love the heads up this video provides! Thank you Feyi ❤️
Perfect delivery of salient points on a light note.. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 🌹
Always dropping gems, you are a narration pro. Thank you
Haha! Thanks! 🌹
Aunty Feyi said 'walahi'... Lol. This is a beautiful video. I like the way you present facts in a genuine yet humorous way. Thanks for all you! You've enlightened me so much about Canada. I've learnt a lot from watching your videos. I'm considering relocating to Canada as well. I celebrate you lady!
Aww, thanks a lot 🌹
I love all of these points. It's all so true! There are some things that you will get used to after living in Canada for a while, depending on the type of person you are, but if some of these points seem like a big change from your lifestyle or personality and values, it's important to really think about if you want to move to Canada. She is NOT kidding! 😂 Especially about the living costs, weather compared to hot countries, and treating everyone equally. You aren't hot s*** just because you have money or a good job in Canada!!
I like you already 😂
Hello..
🤣🤣 totally
The most real! Thanks for always being real Mrs. Mac.
Thank you! 🌹
Hi Feyi, am a new subscriber and I just wanna say thank you for keeping it real in this video. I look forward to coming to Canada soon, and I like the point you mentioned about humility, we Nigerians need to learn that in terms of age and status. I've not experienced the dark winter before but i think I'll like it cos to me oo the sun in naija is too much and tans my skin quickly lol. I'll keep watching and I hope you continue to keep it real, not only sharing the goodies of Canada but the cons as well. Please, if its possible I'd like to hear from blacks and/or Nigerians that have built business in Canada, maybe as a guest speaker, if you know any1 like that, rather than having only a 9-5 job. Thanks and keep up the good work
My husband is Japanese. Half of his perceptions are exactly opposite to yours (he thinks Canadians are loud and often impolite). I guess it really depends on where you start from as to what you'll think is different or difficult to adjust to here. Thank you for sharing your perspective.
Japanese people are generally really cultured and discipline people so, It's not surprising.
Japanese politeness is determined by status in a given situation, so this still applies. In my experience of living in Japan, with extended Japanese family whose worked for an extended period of time in a Japanese workplace, what you mean by cultured is not reflected in the culture in the way you might mean.
I love the transparency and honesty!!!
Thank you! 🌹
Speaking loud part got me 😀😀...you are doing a great job 👏 America changed alot of things in my life. GOD BLESS 🇺🇸.
🤣🤣🤣
I'm planning to do my PhD over there after I finish my Masters degree. I definitely appreciate this video
Wow, very insightful. The loud talker part is me especially when I am passionate about what I'm talking about 😩😂.
Thanks for the tips. Why do I feel so empowered and ready to live in CA from your videos?
Fingers crossed for the IELTS sponsorship .
100% cosign, especially mental health. can cosign too being humbled, my goodness. thank you for this video..

I recently sent my maid away in preparation. im glad i did. and ive also been doing a lot of diy.
Thanks seyi for always sharing. I remember your first carpentry experience when you first arrived for you masters. I am preparing for my first IELTS exam and I want to write it before the end of the year, hopefully by the end of this month. I have not done my credentials evaluation yet but I will be able to that also this year if I am lucky to win this sponsorship. I am 24 years old and I am also planning on writing the french exam so as to boost my CRS score. Thank you so much for making my Canadian dream come true. God bless all the sponsors🙏🙏

Thank you so much for your first line: encouraging people NOT to listen to pessimists who are discouraging people from coming to Canada.
Hi Feyi,
Thanks for sharing your experience and that of others. I have done ECA and written IELTS once. I’ll like to take the exam again.
I will put it this way: you can be all you want to be BUT be able to adapt fast, be swift, be mindful, be engaging & maintain ur cool.
Canadians are very disciplined people. You will feel so molested by the good behaviours they show you after your misbehavior. But the law is the only culture here. They are friendly people but when it comes to the laws they're strict.
Are you residing there bro?
Informative!
Thanks ma. And you also made me laugh...
I love d way u smile $ ur hairstyle am currently in Dubai most of the things u said are also the same here except noise lols but every body is somebody
Hmmmm. I remember watching your past video on your experience when you first arrived in Canada. After watching that Video I was a little bit scared because you scarcely hear people mention that on their Channel. So thank you for putting quality in your videos and not just seeing your subscribers as a means to an end, but being so honest.
In this video the word that comes loudly to me is Independence. You must be Independent mentally to go to Canada.
Thanks Feyi.
Feyi with this your video its obvious Canada is for me. I am still entering for the IELTs sponsorship. I really hope I get picked.
Haha! Very good! 🌹
Pls how do I enter??
Pls how do I enter Vicky for the IELTs sponsorship?

You have a great sense of humor and your video was fun. I was born in Canada in Alberta and I agree about the statement to go straight to B C. 💯❤️💯
Thank you! Hoping to visit BC soon.
@@FeyiMac you will never leave once you see BC beautiful it's amazing. I myself àm a glutton for cold punishment because my oldest was born in New Westminster BC. Then I moved back to Alberta and my other two children were born in Calgary Alberta. I miss BC the winter month's rain most, I can handle rain over cold weather.

Congratulations feyi on your milestone .
I just started my whole process into relocating to Canada beginning of the year, I have 3 years work experience, a Bsc degree, I’m currently doing a masters degree in order to boost my CRS score and also intend to write other professional exams. I haven’t done my ECA yet but I’ll be processing it very soon , I have never written IETLS before (this would be my first) and I’ll like to push for the second giveaway (IETLS SPONSORSHIP), I have study materials I use to prepare myself against the exams and I know that I’ll pass because I’m very determined and I have faith in myself ( I wouldn’t let your money go to waste).
I’ll be so glad to be part of the lucky 8. Thank you for this very huge opportunity and all the information you disburse to we intending immigrants . God bless you .

I moved here to Canada from Togo and I can guarantee you all all these points are true. The grass is not always greener on the other side. Wow Feyi this is another impactful video... U were funny and real at the same time... I learnt so much and know what to expect already lol.... The two toddlers kinda scared me a bit but I'm too DETERMINED to be stopped! Hoping to see you soon... Cheers dear and well done
Glad you learnt a thing or two.
Honestly, just come prepared. It's not easy with toddlers but you will be fine with the right amount of support around you.

@@FeyiMac well the reason I'm leaving them behind initially lol.. Even though they will join me once I land but as you said I will come prepared... Canada is not for the faint hearted lol
Hello Feyi,
Thank you for this opportunity. I am 33 years and sadly I have lot points before I became aware of this point based Canada immigration program. I have a Master degree and done my ECA. Studying hard for the second Stage which is IELTS before the recent adjustment to bilingual points which I believe would have an effect on the draws from next week. I sincerely wish to take my IELTS test this year. Although I may still have to take TEF because of the recent development.
Making Inquiry about French classes and TEF examination shows that it is pricey. I pray to win the IELTS sponsorship and take the exam this year after which my CRS score and draws would determine if I would commence TEF preparations.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
True points 👌🏽
🌹🌹
I am new subscriber from Africa Nigerian, I love your program and it gives life to people
Thank you so much
This place is so for me. Mo le mind business me baje and humility is my watch word. Waiting for part 2 like Kilode. I have registered for IQAS but because I am in a profession that requires verification, my evaluation is still ongoing. I am studying for ielts. I have enrolled for some professional courses cause I learnt with my profession I will require 2-3 before getting a licence to practice so I want to have an alternative. I have also registered with a certified Canadian consultant, I don't want to make a single mistake all through the process.
Lovely video Feyi. Thank you
Information on point!!!
Amazing! Merci!😘🙏
This video is pure gold. The funniest part is when Feyi did the cute Canadian accent of the neighbour who called the police on loud tenants. But having "A1 mental" is very important. If your support network isn't strong, when those short, dark winter days arrive, your mood may decline. Related to that, if you aren't comfortable with uncertainty, anxiety may arise as well. In a nutshell the message of being open to change and unlearning past beliefs is helpful. Culture shock is real.
"These are things you can adjust." Mi O see mo. Kai.
Thank you so much..Enjoyed it 🤗🤗
Glad you did! 🌹🌹
All points made sense!!!!!
Very informative and interesting video😊.
I pray I get picked among the winner's for the sponsored IELTS exam 🙏.
Thank you Feyi for regular informations and easier process.
God bless you 🙏
Keep Faith 🥳
Thank you for sharing this ideas
Alberta here i love the extreme winter here. If you are not into cold weather then here is not good for you lol I find Toronto warmer than Alberta as I lived in Toronto for 15years. One thing I can advise anyone moving to Canada make sure you take good care of your credit when you build it. Everything here depends on your credit be it getting a car, a house, a loan or an apartment.
Wow, you love the extreme weather? You know you're the first to admit that Alberta has extreme weather 🤣🤣
My friends there always try to downplay it with the Chinook wind
Sisster I just love your energy, Nigerian accent have something warm about it that encourage a smile.
Thank you!
Hi Feyi, thanks for your wonderful Content. I'm currently in the express Entry pool, upon getting my IELTS and ECA report. However my point is a little short of the recent draws, with your sponsorship, my Wife can also take IELTS test and help us have a better chance at an ITA so we don't have to start speaking je parle français.
Thank you in anticipation.

Hi Feyi. Thank you for all you do. I am so excited about this opportunity. I am 28y/o with about 3 years of work experience. I have my transcript, all original certificates and international passport. I have done a lot of research about Canada; PNP, CEC, Federal skilled worker, Express entry, checked my rounds of invitation for my potential scores for express entry, NOC and trying to get a job from here. I started processing my ECA and currently taking classes for IELTS. I need to really pass this IELTS. I really wish I win the IELTS sponsorship and possibly get a session with the professional consultant too. The consultation, advice, experience and expertise of professional will go a long way in keeping on the right track order than relying on my research, DIY, trial and errors. This will really mean a lot to me. I really can't wait to leave Nigeria. Thanks to all the sponsors.
Thanks for this enlightening video and I just noticed your nose ring; it's beautiful

THINGS TO UNLEARN AND LEARN: 1.) Sexuality is fluid, same sex marriages/relationships are as valid as heterosexual union.
2.) Do not assault anybody.
3.) Gender equality is a thing.
4.) Say no to pride and rudeness.
5.) Be open to diversity and acceptance of other cultures and religion.
6.) Acclimatize.
7.) No noise!
Right on!! 👌👌👌
Feyi, thank you for this video.
Once again thanks for the eye opening caveats... Esp the shouting part😂😂
I'm below 28, done my IQAS assessment, will do my ielts general in Dec., learning French on my own by the way. Thanks a million.
