I will also like to add. If you are very careless, you lose things very easily, pls don't even think of going to Canada.
In 2014 misplaced my school I'd and bus pass 3 times. I had to use my pocket money to bail myself out. I was broke for weeks. I suffered greatly.
I also misplaced my apartment key one time, I had to sleep in the lobby overnight, until we got a call that it had been found.
In Canada you will suffer for every error you make, and also things that we take for granted here (in Nigeria) like punctuality, you will pay dearly for. Unlearning and relearning is the only way out

I would like to add. If you don't like to plan ahead for almost everything you do. Pls don't go to Canada.
I remember back in 2013, when I and my brother got lost in the night on our way from church, because we hadn't planned our trip, so we entered the wrong bus. This was during winter 😭. We suffered so much that night, I can never forget.

I have done my ECA, I have also done my IELTS and I am in the EE pool and SINP pool. My age is a limitation and I am hoping the services of an immigration lawyer can help me in directing me on the right path. As it is quite expensive to handle I do pray I win this round of the giveaway to be able to get the services of an immigration consultant. Thank you Feyi for the good job you are doing and I do hope I get chosen for this round.

15:05 is quite true and for many reasons. I've been here for 9 years and still in this situation. So, I tell people get a good partner before moving! And by the way forget dating app (na mix of human, dogs and animals dey there). Unless you don't care about what the wrong partner (esp. woman) can do to you in Canada, then you can as well get on the street and marry anyone. Otherwise if you don't want your life to be ruined suddenly, you gotta open your eyes before you sign at city hall

I think I would add that be prepared for it to take a while to find your posse (or friend group) never mind a significant other. Canadians can sometimes take the concept of "minding their own business" a little too far and in their efforts not to bother people actually end up making people feel unwelcomed.

I’m a Canadian and it was really neat to see how immigrants see our society. I think you really got it right when you said that Canadians are into equality between people of different status, gender, sexuality etc. You didn’t complain about winter as much as I expected. I’m born here and I F**ing hate winter so much, I don’t know how foreigners deal with it. Another thing that some immigrants learn when they come here is how differently we raise our kids. Like if you shout at your kids or spank them Canadians will call child protective services. I’m always gentle with my daughter but one day she was really not listening and hiding in the store from me, so I said her whole name just loud enough for her to hear me and everyone in the store looked at me funny 😂. She slinked out from behind a clothing rack and was mortified that I called her out like that.

    • @ucheokoroafor8273
      @ucheokoroafor8273 3 года назад

We come from a country (Nigeria) with so many problems that make your harsh Canadian winters feel like a slight inconvenience. Nigeria has a lot of oil and natural resources, yet the country is filled with rampant poverty and bad roads. Our politicians are looting the oil money to buy mansions and luxury vehicles. Recently, soldiers in Nigeria killed a hundred peaceful protesters and the government said no lives were lost. I slept with an escort who said she had a degree in Banking and Finance but couldn't find a job.

Sorry the question I'm asking does not relate to this topic but I'm getting worried about it
I'm in the express entry pool and I registered as married in August. however, I did customary marriage and I don't v a certificate. I'm currently processing one federal government marriage certificate in Nigeria.
Will there be an issue my marriage certificate date shows December when I created my profile as married in August????
    Please I need your response.

For someone planning to make a career switch from journalism to nursing, what's the possibility of getting an accelerated degree? How many years in total to acquire this including licensing? Whats the job market like ?Really need an answer to this please, thank you for the insightful video.

You don't need to be compassionate re: people's pets - just don't make a display of your contempt for their feelings. In some cultures, it's normal to say whatever pops into your head, no matter how abrasive; we Canadians tend to keep our mouths shut and bite our tongues a lot. It's how we get along.

Hi Feyi. I’d really like a chance at the consultation giveaway. I am interested in moving to Canada and I have begun my process. I have done my ECA and I intend to take my IELTS before the end of the year. I have a BSc and over 3 years work experience but I don’t have a Masters degree or family in Canada, this has reduced my scores significantly. I am aware that I have to find means of improving my scores and this is why consultation would be very helpful. Thank you.

Am Nigerian living in Paris and also hoping to move to Canada by next year. I love your channel and would love to ask if there is a health insurance system in CA, because here in France the government reimburse you about 50% or more of the amount you spent on healthcare. Is it so in Canada?
