Nice Video m8. Totally agree with you, love my HST and owned her from New...
We live up in the hills and she goes up and down regardless of the weather.

Nice video. You’re right, great value these days and way more capable than any so called competitor. Niggles yes, but name me a car that doesn’t have those.

Thanks for watching! Really good value vehicle, I picked this one up fairly cheap for what it is I’ve done a bit to it, new brakes and a few bushes, a rear wheel bearing, rust proofing and blanked the egr had it coded out and stage 2 tune done. Has been a great daily for the misses since we’ve had it

@@CarTourettes rear Diff oil, PTU oil (front diff), Haldex filter and dump n fill on the auto gearbox and it’ll go on for years 👍
If you are handy with your hands, all less than £100

@@willwonka1325 thanks for the advice, diff service is on the list. Any recommendations for getting the service bits for the haldex?

@@CarTourettes you’ll have the Gen 3 and need both filters and good quality oil - lots of crap Chinese copies out there!! If you put this into Google: VOLVO, FORD, LAND ROVER, RANGE ROVER - GEN 2 & 3 OIL & FILTER SERVICE KIT
      £45.10
      That’s the proper kit.

I took one for a drive, beautiful car but!!! Their constant and rediculous reliability issues and rust put me off purchasing one. I bought the better VW Tiguan 4 motion. These have their problems but nothing like an LR..

😂😂😂😂 you clearly didn’t research the extensive Tiguan issues out there, arguably much worse than any Freelander

The thing I prefer about the Freelander is the proper 4 wheel drive system and the fact there pretty cheap on parts and this HST model drives and looks well

@@willwonka1325 Well the cars a 2013 with 76,000 on the clock full service history and no issues reported by the VW maintenance. So like all car's if serviced properly shouldn't give any bother especially with the low miles. All cars have their issues but so far so good with this one. As for Freelander's/ landrovers in general. Their so crap RUclips has multiple videos of these "BEST OF BRITISH" rubbish needing constant repairs. I've never heard of a Tiguan or any VW breaking crankshaft's!!!

@@CarTourettes If it suits you that's brilliant. Unfortunately as nice as they are the reputation and multiple hundreds of video's on RUclips was enough to put me of purchasing one. I wish you the every best with it and hope it gives you many years of trouble free motoring 👍👍

@@davidbuchanan3374Having had many cars, ironically and personally it’s been the German brands that have been the most unreliable for me. BMW, Merc, Audi and Porsche - all have had major issues, mechanically and electronically. I’ve also been fortunate to own some beauties from Bentley and Maserati, but for me my staple has always been Land Rover and guess what - literally no major issues. It’s the brand that most who have not owned or cannot afford to own that gets so much hate 😂 mostly from jealous sorts where they state “a friend of a friend/uncle/bills down the pub” (which in itself is hilarious).
The Tiguan is a cute little SUV, cursed with timing chain and powertrain issues but hopefully you’ll get some use before they bite, which they will even with a manufacturer history 😉 - Google is your friend.
