    More detail that I have missed dangit 😂. I play in cover band. I struggle doing the piano and horn stabs, and honestly there is a string part as well. It is overwhelming. I fake it best I can. 😂

    You think EW&F got the chords from Steely Dan’s ”Peg” for this one, very similar? And it was released only one year later. And then again ”Room 335” by Larry Carlton.

    • @marcusmoberg289
      @marcusmoberg289 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@ryan-heath Same chords as Peg intro just that Larry plays it one key above, D instead of C. Maybe Steely got the chords from Larry since he was their most hired session guitarist

      The goal my friend is to not only give the audience what they want… but also what they need.
      Instructing pop songs will keep them engaged and build an audience.
      Occasionally dropping in something like Lyle will open minds to such a degree that the desire to play well will take on greater urgency, desire and motivation.
      Music is not nearly as subjective as we think. If we love it, so will any aspiring pianist. They just need the exposure.

      @@MJ1 Very true. I'm not really a jazz guy so I didn't get the reference but I am a fan of all types of music. When I see a video of something I don't know and I have time I will usually watch if it's a person's channel in which I trust their ear, their style of teaching and just their overall disposition...which @pierrejpiscitelli checks all those boxes. I also like seeing comments in a good community like there is here that pique my curiosity and send me on a quest to listen to something new. I checked this song out by Pat and Lyle and must say I enjoyed it tremendously.
