Pierre thank you for these tutorials and the overhead shots to show exactly what youre playing. I finally mastered Hello its me. What a beautiful song. I look forward to learning this one next.
Nice work! Not sure if you've seen it, but Matt Johnson of Jamiroquai (granted, he wasn't the keyboard player when this was written) puts up a bunch of videos on RUclips. Seems like an awesome guy! Looking forward to giving this one a go, an utter classic!
Great lesson - you're picking some great tunes to have a go at. I always loved this song, with this killer piano riff at the start. Love the sound of that piano too - sounds perfect!
Thank you for doing these videos. Really hard to find tutorials that are actually accurate. I also just watched your "pop strings" video with Rick Beato. Very cool that you guys are friends.
I love to hear that. I always hoped that they would be interesting for those who just want to watch a song breakdown, and not necessarily feel the need to practice along with me!
@@pierrejpiscitelli Well it’s definitely working for me. To the point where I’m considering digging out my daughter’s keyboard from the basement to try and learn Another Day In Paradise 👍🏻
I’m 34, so a 90s kid but I love boomer music. I can play some piano and this channel is awesome because of the lessons like this with some of my favorite songs, I already have a huge list to learn and you always keep dropping another one to add to it :d
We are the same age. All of the “boomer music” is the most interesting from the standpoint of a rhythm section player. These classic songs have more to work with than anything being produced in 2024!
Great tutorial! Is there anyway you could post the sheet music for this ? Or at least the chord progression? Would be super helpful. Having to pause , rewind, play the video over and over is a little tedious to try and write down what you’re playing. Thanks
I might consider, but my thinking was always that if someone can read music, they don’t need this tutorial, which teaches by rote. I guess some like both?
@@pierrejpiscitelli The advantage of having the sheet music and a tutorial like this is you can work on it little by little using the sheet music to figure out what keys to play and refer to the video for the feel of how it should be played. In many of the method books there is an audio accompaniment which gives you a reference of how it should sound in addition to the sheet music on paper.

Fantastic!
Great choice for a tutorial. Great, clear and concise teaching style. Now I have some work to do !

He definitely is. Different spirit from Toby Smith but still providing an awesome sound to their music.
I love this song!! I'm trying this as soon as I get home, thank youuuu! 🥳🥳🥳

Hey Pierre, Greetings from New Zealand. Awesome tutorial, Jamiroquai are a great band, Matt Johnson is a great player.
Virtual Insanity was written and played by former Jamiroquai band keyboard player Toby Smith.
I really hoped you would play it all together at the end! I loved it anyway❤
I’d love to, but that can trigger copyright issues. I play and teach section by section instead 🙂 Thanks for watching!
Danke!
Thank you!
You are one of the best piano teachers online. Great work again. Thx :)

I don’t play piano. I’m a guitarist. But I love these videos and channel.

🤨 This is Gen Xes music, mates not boomer music 😉. However, it's great music 👍.
They’re using the term boomer colloquially, like everyone does, boomer.
Okay Milli.
Lol, boomer music. Someone has serious confusion about what boomer is.
Hallelujah… One of my favourite songs of all time. Thank you, thank you thank you
Of course!
We need the intro to the intro!
hi! you taught “hello it’s me” by Todd Rundgren. it’s time to teach his other popular song “i saw the light”! please and thank you
Please do Give It Up by KC and the Sunshine Band! 😁
Excellent lesson thanks , is that a DX7 I see in the background ?
It is!
Very cool tune, Thanks

How about "Cool Change" by Little River Band. Classic song.
I love this song. Best funk song since he 70's
Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, C, B, Cb: all octaves
I often half-jokingly say the only reason I picked up piano was to learn this intro. 😁
Haha!
