the theme of this entire album is “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened” and it’s so bittersweet. i wonder if anyone has counted how many times they said the word “goodbye” in this album because it was A LOT
the whole album makes me so emotional and I can still remember the first time I listened to the album through it was magical. also I just went to count and it’s only 9 actually maybe I missed some out or something but I thought it was so much more than that
@@elizabethlti i know what you mean. i didn’t become a true fan until last year, and this album in particular is very meaningful to me. in the first few months of quarantine i was having a pretty hard time struggling with a depressive episode and i had this album looped on repeat constantly. it was a huge comfort to me. thankfully i’m doing much better now but yeah this album helped me get through it so it has a special place in my heart.
@@pohia yeah I was quite small when they were still together so I was like oh cool song! but didn’t start really listening to their stuff until about 2 years ago? and it’s helped me so much in making me realise that maybe even the worst things at the moment could turn out alright after all. obviously I still have my bad days but just knowing that their music would always be there for me to come back to brings me so much comfort. I’m glad you’re doing better now, I’m getting there I think!

Zayn confirmed he called harry in a 2019 interview and Harry admitted himself that he wrote the song. Listen to the lyrics zayn called harry telling him he was leaving the band

What a feeling is the Fireproof of MITAM. It's an interlude song that is meant to be chill and to gently bring you to the next part of the album. Both very underrated, but I understand why. I call them the bass songs. You don't always notice that they are there and why they are there until you don't have them. Same for when you take the bassline off a song.

For "I want to write you a song" many people have said that song was for the fans, basically saying that they want to write us one last song, before they leave us. I just heard this rumor a few months ago, so every time I hear the song, it makes me cry.
Also we literally have the same first and middle name as well, but Caitlin is spelled "Kaitlyn" for me

you don't know the amount of mental breakdowns i'm having these couple of days.
This entire album feels like it was written to the fans and makes me want to cry... "I Want To Write You A Song", "If I Could Fly", "Love You Goodbye", and "History" especially just feel like a stab through the heart every time I listen to them.
I honestly dont think that its a goodbye song because none of the boys wrote that song, or help to write it
None of them wrote on that song though.

This is only Harry Styles' first solo album.
Something cool/sad about home it’s actually from the Take Me Home era but the song never made it to the album. If you listen carefully you may listen their voices from back then and low-key Zayn’s voice too. They basically re-did it and put their 2015 vocals on top of the 2012 ones...

Home is one of the songs I listen before falling asleep...I know it's weird but I love that song and if I could fly.....❤️....fools gold from four...is just pure gold....walking in the wind is just so good...basically all of one direction songs are my favorite and the best songs.....❤️
I feel like it wouldn’t be as obvious if they didn’t add “”GIRL” so much. Like in They Don’t Know About Us (one of my fave 1D songs) they added girl like way too many times and I could see it being an LGBTQ+ song (for Larry maybe if you believe in it?)
okay so y'all know how they recorded their albums while they were on tour?? like they were recording MITAM while they were on the OTRA tour... that means there might be some MITAM songs that zayn recorded with them before leaving... so there might be a MITAM ft. Zayn version of the album somewhere out there... and that's what keeps me awake at night.

There isn’t a version of MITAM with Zayn. That doesn’t exist. They didn’t start writing or recording MITAM until May 2015. Zayn left the band in March 2015.

Long way down is one of my favorite songs! I listen to it while falling asleep and it actually really helps when I can't sleep I just play it in my headphones at like a medium volume and it totally works like a Lullaby. I love Liam's part when his voice does that kinda crack thing I don't really know how to describe it but it's Apollo good! And I hate how nobody talks about it! Thanks for giving it love Caitlin! 💖

this album is my favorite for a reason. I feel like they made the instruments match the feeling of the lyrics so well. Especially ‘what a feeling’ and ‘history’. I feel like this album definitely makes me the most emotional, since you can feel the boys’ emotions like they are your own. Their minds are beyond talented.
Even if they try to hide it ! A lot of this album is inspired by zayn
I always relate these to him one way or another (btw if zayn was on this album it would be next level but a lot of these songs woudn't exist too so....)
