It just needed more water in, it went off to quick because you never had enough water to begin with! it would have been fine if you had added the rest of the water and give it a bit of a good mix with a whisk before adding it to the chicken It looked delicious.
I think you’re supposed to get a few portions out of that curry powder, you don’t need a lot. Just needed some more water that’s all. I’ve done it myself when using those powders
Mate try it again but this time first fry onion and carrot then add chicken fry further 2-3 min then cover with cold water and then add a tablespoon at a time of the curry powder continue to stir until you get the consistency you require, throw in a hand full of peas job done.
I whisk mine all the time with a whisk until boiling and it comes out lovely. I use mayflower and put the right amount of water at the start. Yours looks lovely anyway
Keith I'm hooked on your shows even though I'm still having trouble understanding what you're saying. You are bery fortunate to li where you do. I live in the center of California. About 4yrs ago our summers started becoming hotter. This last summer we would have 20 or more fay stretches where the temperature was 105 to 110 degrees. On those days when we had 99 to 100degree days we thought they were cool days. Om telling you this because we also have to watchour water cosumption. Resaurants only serve youwater if you ask for it. When I said you were fortunate because the way you rinsed your rice by letting the water tap run until rice water was clear would be considered a waste of something very precious. Rice is cleaned but it's one manually with chages of water and one is encouraged to collect rinse water and recycle it. I think I read that Britain suffred high tempsbb in the ninties and the Kings men were gainting from the heat. Your ninties can be unbearable because of the humidity ours is a dry heat. Looking forward to another of your shows.
At least you can have a laugh keith 😂 i did chuckle when you came back to sauce and it had thickened up, but like you say you learn from your mistakes, i thought it actually looked ok in the end 👍 😊
Bud am a chef when your mixing it use a whisk as it stops it getting clumpy & use less power ta start as u can always add more power ta thicking to your liking 👍...at least you got a good laugh my friend 🏴👍😉🏴 lol
We have started to use the Middletons Chinese curry sauce mix, it comes in the red tubs about 2.5 kg, and a bit of a tip to give it more flavour, because i have heard that it is what the Chinese restaurants do, don't just use plain water, put a chicken stock cube in it😉 But melt the stock cube in hot water first, then wait for it to cool down, or melt it in a little of the hot water then add the rest of the cold
Bloody hell keith your such a comedian, made me piss my sides when you were doing the sauce lol,im sure you know to add more water or less powder in future, great comedic content😅
Buy yourself a whisk,so much more efficient for sauce making.Rice packets never say to put into a large pan of water in the US, depending on the sort of rice it says to use one,and a half to two cups of water to a cup of rice. You’re rice looked very good.
Hehe, I had this for tea tonight, the first time I made it it went like that you should have just put more hot water in it would have been OK, bet it taste shamazeballs still, stick some spring onions and sesame seeds on the top
I think it probably had to much thickening agent in it or maybe used whole packet and maybe measurements were for half packey. To be honest i stick with mayflower or a packet called youngs i tbink. Will see if i can get one and send it to you i always found it better than mayflower and more intense flavour. Dont think it was you mate think either instructions wrong or ingredients wrong. PS love watching you and Nat.x
tesco medium curry sauce jars.. fry some onions a little then some chicken in with the onions add the sauce make some rice and you have a nice curry. Making a proper chinese curry from scratch takes quite a while to be fair.
Keith your Honesty is Tops mate and i'd have to say that looked really nice on Looks despite the sauce looking thick 🙂 i'd stick to what you know mate with the Mayflower etc but i wouldn't have been disappointed whatsoever eating that 👍👍 you give it your Best shot always and your Nat really liked it 👍👍 you are a reet Top Fella you really are and your laughter is cushty haha 😂😂😂

It just needed more water in, it went off to quick because you never had enough water to begin with! it would have been fine if you had added the rest of the water and give it a bit of a good mix with a whisk before adding it to the chicken It looked delicious.

Mate try it again but this time first fry onion and carrot then add chicken fry further 2-3 min then cover with cold water and then add a tablespoon at a time of the curry powder continue to stir until you get the consistency you require, throw in a hand full of peas job done.
