Can't understand why people rave about Greegs. Yes it's pasties etc, which are a guilty pleasure agreed. But all their pasties and sausage rolls, and I'd wager most of the cakes are mass produced and then frozen and then "baked off" for sale. People seem to regard the sausage rolls as the bench mark, but they're crap, compared to proper butchers or even supermarket premium sausage rolls. The filling is more like Richmond sausage, and that's not a good thing, like meat paste. Really really overrated, choose local if you have it. I'd prefer to go to our local Curtis (in Lincolnshire)

And he is quite right too, plenty of people do seem to regard Greggs sausage rolls as a premium product and do compare other sausage rolls to them like they are some sort of benchmark standard of which to aspire to. Nothing could be further from the truth, it’s all mass produced meat paste filled sh!te at Greggs in my opinion.
I made a sandwich tonight of a few weird ingredients but man did it taste good.. Try buttering some warbertons nice soft fresh toastie bread and put three slices of cheap garlic sausage round slices in a packet from a supermarket deli section on the bread along with about 5-6 sliced bits of cucumber then drizzle some salad cream over and close and cut the sandwich .. it doesnt sound great but it tastes deelicious.
Oh no poor you Nat 🤦♀️ i lost my sense of smell back in 2020 (bloody covid) and although i miss all the lovely smells...hubby farts and dogs farts i do not miss 😂 has had it's blessings lol x

You need to do a comparison on a £1 Iceland pie, the meat and potato pie VS Pukka pie 🥧 Me & my gran just had a meat and potato pie It was very nice, very cheap as well
Greggs’ make all there own bread pastry’s cakes ect thats why its a little expensive when i was training as a chef i worked for them for my bakery qualification but that was 20 years ago now its changed a lot since then
I looked at Greggs prices online last night and they are really expensive I think to me if your out and about have the meal deal from the supermarket they are normally £3.50 ish or Sainsburys do a £5 meal deal where you can have a better ingredient sandwich. I had the salmon and cream cheese one a yoghurt and a 500mls bottle of pop for £5 I don't think you can complain about that price in this day and age
Think Greg's is operated and vile, the food tastes always cold, the sausage rolls are rank, you'd to think that that the best thing out out of Greg's was the breakfast rolls and doughnuts, but it's all gone downhill, that's why I don't bother buying Greg's anymore, hope you feel better Keith, I love to eat spicy food, but my stomach doesn't, it makes me feel very ill, that's why I leave well alone, not worth it mate. i love the channel dont get me wrong....but this last week all have been reviews on shop brought stuff.......e.g mac n cheese,kebab,curry sauces,quiche and now greggs........you used to make a load of dishes fresh....but this week has just been reviewing processed stuff......a tad dissapointed.......but hey.....i do enjoy it and the same last night on the live ..........a processed hot pizza......shop brought.......make some home made fresh recipes please......
Like i said before keith nat was enjoying it too much and she's still laughing bless her. But if you don't laugh you'll end up crying crying which you were. But you done your challenges especially for someone who doesn't like spices. So give yourself a pat on the back and be proud of what you achieved.
Wetherspoons full price unlimited drink is £1.56 so 2 is £3.12. But many places have discount price the one I go to is £1.04. and traditional breakfast £3.14. the pizza slice does not look like worth 50p. better just to have got an Aldi one. the toasty - easier just to do two bit of bread and a slice of ham and cheese and up under the grill few minutes would have been better. Greggs prices are such a rip off. you can get a proper dinner for less. for what is on the plates and the cost you could just get far more looking at the sandwich it may be cost more than a subway which would have look more full Now its your turn show how to make that whole meal for less money. and show people that there is some thing better than Greggs food.
Greggs prices include putting the items together and cooking delivering them to your outlet and serving persons plus rates and electricity and cost of buildings, they don't just magically turn up on the counter.
The only thing greggs ever did that i liked was a blueberry doughnut, then they stopped making them.. as for the sandwhiches, they put mayo on everything, i cant stand mayo. The pies tend to be greasy, and the pizza tastes like a cheap frozen supermarket pizza, bit several times the cost.
It's not really helpful to say how much the individual items cost because with Gregg's you have to add in the preparation, the serving people and the cost of transportation and buildings costs like rates and electricity plus the convenience. I don't buy myself except the pasties because yes to me, they are expensive but the public vote with their feet and seem to love them.
