I love how it looks now. You've done an excellent job. I imagine it smells delicious while you're pruning. Thanks for all the info up above, which will be really helpful when I try a rosemary next year.
Hi Mate, that look's amazing, love it, my next project. That Sphagnum Moss and gorgeous green moss is great as layers with stones in the terrariums I've made too. I'm sure you have already made millions, but all is new to me. I love how concerned you are about Rosie being stressed out! I'm sure that they do exist - plant therapists thesedays! Also admire your confidence in cutting back as much as you do, obviously been into this for a while. Ps. My red bromilide? has (no joke ) grown 3 more fingers since I posted the photo, thanks to you, I just top up the leaf vase when needed. Katie
I got this from a nursery at the end of season sale and it was jammed under a couple other plants and had twisted growth. Since it was already twisted, it lent itself to cascade and I have been encouraging this style of growth. I have never used wire on it. I overwinter it inside and keep a grow light on the cascading part to keep it strong. I did not do that last year and I think that is why the tip of the cascade died off.
Nice man! I have tried thyme, rosemary, and sage quite a few times, and always seem to kill them 😫😭 I really hate that because I think they all make some of the best looking trees due to the super small foliage. I'm excited to see how yours keeps progressing. 👍👍
I would love to try Thyme out as bonsai. I usually grow it every Summer but just for cooking. I will need to try to save some at the end of this season. I've killed plenty too along way but they have been great learning experiences.

nice bro! I got me a rosemary also I love how it smells when working on it lol and I like how the trunks are on them look very old
Right on. It is cool how the trunk gets gnarly looking bark in relatively no time at all.
@@HerbandRoots yee exactly that's def one of the plusses i just hate how hard the branches get to wire after u miss them small
Gorgeous bark !
Thank's for information

Thanks! Plant therapist! I like it! That is great news about your bromeliad. I'm so happy to hear that!
Yeah I also love cuttings roots. I might be addected to that 😄
I find the root work to be the most satisfying thing. Unpotting a bonsai is like unwrapping a Christmas morning surprise!!
@@HerbandRoots yeah you're right . It's happiness.
I am trying to bonsai my Gorizia flowering Rosemary. Trying to wire it for a cascade tree. Hopefully it will work
Sweet, how did you get it to cascade down like that? Very nice look!!!
