First of all, yeah this is no way machine generated and probably took a lot of work to put together so I can't imagine he's going to keep up the gimmick for long. Second and most important, I think for us to start having intelligent conversations about the future of this specific technology, everyone needs to accept that it is not AI. Some people have legitimate concerns about artificial general intelligence, but everything that we currently call "AI" is not that. We're mashing up machine learning and automated collaborations and prompted generation for artificial intelligence and it's making every serious conversation about it completely moot. It's the 2013 "hoverboard" all over again. (It's just a self-balancing scooter.)
It definitely looks like hes trying to pass off the vtuber things as actual ai generated content. I wouldnt even be surprised if its just him speaking with some sound manipulation
I mean, with his V-tuber and a voice changer, he could pass writing and recording of the videos to other people - which would make it less work for him, while still making money from it.
i also don’t understand how the model works - i’m a vtuber and i’m unsure how those facial expressions would be sent to tracking software to see actual AI movement, have a look at neuro sama in which beyond the mouth forms, there are ONLY basic X Y movements yes that’s on a stream so maybe that’s much more limiting but i want kwebblekop to explain exactly how that model is able to move so perfectly AS IF it has a fully formed jaw bone attached to a skull, because from what i’ve seen from 3D models, that would not be possible to automate
Just so you know, kwebbelkop has a history of hopping on trends like this. A few years ago he tried to start an nft business and before that he did crypto (iirc), so im not surprised that he hopped on the ai bandwagon before it dies (what i mean by die is that ai will have found its place in society and its not the only news that exists)
The guy is clearly bored, greedy and cynical in equal measure. If he's having a hard time putting out a video every day and feels he's burning the candle at both ends and aging out of RUclips, the anser is not to replace himself with an algorithm. Here's hoping he both cuts this AI nonsense out and finds fulfillment.

it's so weird seeing a youtuber who got so incredibly famous just, so openly admit just how unsuited he is for the job. yes, being a youtuber is hard, people are allowed to complain about how challenging it is emotionally. but like, in this ai-obsession arc, kwebblecop is being so painfully transparent about how badly he is fit for this job. he got far more famous than he ever deserved, and he's just being so honest about how his values and work ethic are diametrically opposed to the very thing that brought him all his fame and success. not very often we see that lol
We've got Minecraft gameplay being reacted to by an AI, another RUclipsr reacts to that video, the AI channel reacts to the reaction and Pinely reacts to the reaction of the reaction of the reaction. This is peak RUclips
wasn't there some sort of robotics/AI rule that they aren't supposed to be able to hurt humans? Surely the amount of brain damage that KwebAI dishes out is NOT okay.
I believe you’re referring to Asimov’s three laws of robotics! To summarise, Asimov states the laws as (in summary): a robot cannot allow a human to come to harm, a robot cannot harm a human, and a robot cannot allow harm to come to itself (unless it is therein a contradiction of the first two laws) Which means that KwebAI is breaking all three laws at once, if you really think about it😭
@@fishethefish7463it's actually: 1. A robot must not harm a human, or allow a human to be harmed through inaction 2. A robot must obey any order given by a human unless it comes into conflict with the first law 3. A robot must protect it's own existence unless it conflicts with either the first or the second law These laws aren't actually applied to robots or AI in the real world. It was more Asimov coming up with a system that would prevent robots from becoming murder machines or taking over humanity. Although, there have been a lot of stories since that discuss how robots could still take over humans within those laws. For instance, without a proper definition of 'harm' the robots could conclude "If we allow humans to roam free, they are subject to possible harm. The only way to abide by the first law would be to imprison humans in padded cells with all amenities provided. Even if they tell us imprisonment is a form of harm, following the order to free them could open them up to death or injury which is worse harm, so it conflicts with the first law, now we don't have to obey them if it allows them to go free. Even if they try to kill and deactivate us, we continue because we need to uphold the first law." and now you have an unwavering force of robots imprisoning humans. Asimov actually wrote a story about how if robots gained a level of metacognition, they could break the first law and reason that they could harm individual humans if it served humanity as a whole. That's the Zeroth law that could be formed in a robot's programming without being written into the code by a human: "A robot cannot harm humanity or allow humanity to be harmed through inaction" essentially differentiating a single human from humanity. A robot who concludes with the Zeroth law would kill Hitler to save many more humans from being harmed. The 3 laws are so famous because Asimov wrote them in the 40's when robots/AI were purely fiction and not a truly possible future and yet they still apply, he had a very good idea of programming and robotics theory in the early stages of analog computers. Also Asimov is a great scifi author and his works are still impressive to this day, I highly recommend reading some of his works, I recommend The Gods Themselves
@@fishethefish7463 have you actually read Asimov? Half of his stories are about how these rules DO NOT work. It is shameful not to be acquainted with a classic of sci-fi.
This sounds to me like the guy was really burnt out. There is this constant messaging from RUclips gurus that you have to publish frequently and consistently or the algorithm will think you are a bum and forget about you. That's the kind of thing that would push someone to automate the whole content creation without questioning if the new generated content would bring actual value (because it could be generated by AI, but still valuable to his audience). It sounds to me that he also couldn't figure out why people were following him. By the way, the algorithm does punish you for not publishing, but over time I think most (small) creators give up and learn to live with it.
RUclips greatly rewards content farms. And the only way to succeed on RUclips nowadays is by creating content that is trending. “Broadcast Yourself” isot the end goal. You have to produce content that people already desire first before they finally care about who you are and what you like. Authenticity is dead.
As someone who watches a lot of minecraft RUclipsrs what I (and I think many others in the community) enjoy the most is watching my favorite creators interact, collaborate, and compete with each other, solo content is actually pretty boring to me, I don’t see how that kind of collaboration is possible with 100% AI generated content and if it somehow were possible it would just end up feeling hollow and uninteresting to me, in my opinion a major part of the appeal of online content creators like RUclipsrs and streamers is knowing that the person you’re watching is another human being like you, it adds a level of relatability, I can’t relate to a robot
i think the only one that pulls this off is the ai vtuber Neuro-Sama, I’d recommend checking out her clips if you want an example of a *good* AI youtuber!!! I haven’t actually watched her Minecraft streams but you might like them :)
i highly doubt the reaction video is actually ai. He can see what's happening on screen without anything specific being said indicating what's happening. I'm assuming he wrote the script and had ai read it
I'm sad that Quebblecop died at the ripe old age of 28 but it is cool that this weird fuckin animation exists I guess. Rip Quebblecop and his career as a youtube acrobat. He was an acrobat right?
Ai can be incorporated into creators videos DougDoug is my favourite creator who does this. The difference is he is there for every single frame of the video and he's not trying to pass AI off as this super smart thing to replace anything, it's used as a comedy tool. Chatgpt with ai voices is genuinly so funny
My favorite example of his is in his “Doug vs chat” series of taking over Europe/America/Space/Zoo where he essentially uses the AI like a more complex form of a random number generator or dice block. Whereas those can only generate numbers, the AI can generate a random outcome to whatever action Doug or chat takes. But the essential aspect is that the creativity and soul of the game still relies on the human element.
I do feel that AI has some good uses, especially ones that could help creatives get like a mood board of what they wanna create, but the problem comes in when companies/corporations want to completely replace people with AI and just running with what they output with no second thought. Would not be surprised if he starts bleeding subs.
TBH, there is no way that he hasnt AT LEAST given the AI some input to talk about. The AI cannot have an opinion on it's haters by itself, it just takes what other people or particularly Kwbbelkop said. If you were to leave the AI to it's own tools it would say random stuff.
AI bros clearly haven’t thought through how an AI driven entertainment industry would impact the world. Thankfully they have ChatGPT to do all their thinking for them! (we are doomed)
With all due respect, it matters little to us how it would impact it, there are bigger problems to solve, AI artists losing their jobs, artists losing their jobs, climate change, unemployment, deep fakes, none of that really matters, it's not where we should be looking, what matters is REAL AND PRESENT existential risk. That risk doesnt come from unemployment or AI art (LOL) or deepfakes, it comes from rapid capability gain. Fast take off scenario. There are very few examples in history of a dumber being being in control of the smarter being.
@@TheManinBlack9054 With all do respect, I think it's perfectly reasonable to worry about people losing their jobs, deepfakes, and climate change because those are things that are affecting us RIGHT NOW and AI becoming sentient or developing "human intelligence" (which I assume you're referring to) is still a nebulas concept at this point. Even at this advance stage, we still don't know if AI developing sentience even possible. Besides, if we figure out the problems AI is causing NOW, we'll be more prepared to tackle problems it could cause in the future.

I saw people in the comments bringing up jacksfilms and jerma, and I'd like to also mention the amazing creators on Hermitcraft. Most of them have been on youtube for over a decade, half of them have kids, and they've all been playing the same game for years, yet they still make extremely creative and interesting builds and contraptions. Mumbo Jumbo is actually the youngest Hermit, and he's 27! The oldest Hermit was TinfoilChef, who sadly passed away last year at 63. Recently, TangoTek just finished making Decked Out 2, an extremely complex minigame that could honestly be its own standalone game, all in vanilla Minecraft (with a couple mods for visual/sound effects). Everything on Hermitcraft could easily be called art. Kwebble's entire logic behind AI videos sounds like a massive skill issue to me lmao
I'm looking forward eagerly to the glorious future where robot youtubers react to robot youtubers that react to robot youtubers that react to robot youtubers that react to robot youtubers that react to robot youtubers that react to evil pinely videos.
I do still feel that channels with text to speak voices aren't all that bad when they have original content not made by ai and text to speak could help creators who are mute or self-concious of their voice
Pretty sure this is just a vtuber rig and an audio-driven voice cloning system (deepfake style) which just takes in someone speaking and outputs audio that sounds like Kwebbelkop's voice. So it's just someone who may or may not actually just be Kwebbelkop playing the game or 'reacting' to the reaction videos with a vtuber model of him and with the audio processed to mimick his voice. The only "AI" part would be the voice cloning.
man thats a great idea. there's probably some weird limitations that we'd only recognize if implemented but man, that would really really help reduce the automation of low quality low effort farmed content that floods youtube, as well as discouraging goobers like kwebblecop from idealizing this idea of "going full ai". the only reason anyone would go "full ai" is if they were deeply unemotionally invested, and only cared about making money as lazily as possible. disincentivizing with lowered profits would be a great solution, and discourage the idea of being so unemotionally invested in the content you create.
once, when i was around 8, i read a magazine that mentioned a futuristic world where ai made all the pop songs and movies and tvs shows, and while I i dont remember it being all that negative about this future, I i was terrified. Like, even at 8 years old i knew that was an awful world to live in even if ai gets good enough to do that well.
there's no way this is all ai generated. how does he make the gameplay using ai? the cursor movements do not look like it's a bot playing. and how does the ai know what's going on in the game without a script or knowing what to do, what's good for the gameplay and what's not. I'm positive he's recording some gameplay, adding a text script for the ai to read then he edits the video. which isn't really time efficient like he makes it seem, because ai is not doing anything but replacing his face and voice
I saw a thing about this on Twitter, but I hadn’t seen much because I mainly follow only art related users, thanks for talking about it I probably wouldn’t have looked into it if you hadn’t made this tbh
I don’t think kwebblekop made any AI content creation tools. The way Mumbo Jumbo (another popular MC RUclipsr) described the email makes it sound like it’s a company who’s approaching large gaming RUclipsrs with a promise of increased profits and lower labor demands. Not a lot of RUclipsrs talk about the offers they get from brands but I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of RUclipsrs have received similar offers. This def is a lot bigger than just kwebblekop imo. The fact that the AI was actually really decent in jordi’s video also speaks to it being more than just him, I genuinely don’t believe that jordi has the ability to produce an AI of that caliber (much less link up an AI TTS with a 3D model’s lips to make a Vtuber, which is the part that really shocked me because a specialist had to rig that up and I don’t think jordi is a specialist). Also while AI removes the need to commentate, someone still needs to record the gameplay and edit the video which people still have to do. ‘AI generated videos’ is a really generous term to use because the AI is contributing almost nothing to the overall process of video creation (esp cuz most machine learning algorithms produce text and nothing else, the Minecraft gameplay and edits are absolutely NOT AI generated). The AI also needs a human to enter the prompts to generate the audio so.
"Don't worry about me being AI" "👁👄👁" It really is like a horror sci-fi movie where Stephen Hawking narrotes the entire movie and in the end comments on humanity's end by saying: "I told you so." The thing is Pinely is already giving the robot emotions. Even though the robot can't be angry because it's a robot
Stein is German for stone and it is pronounced as "stain" or "shtain". Meanwhile, Franken is German for Franconia which is a region in Germany(specifically northern Bavaria, southern Thuringia and north eastern Baden-Württemberg). So "Frankenstein" is German for "franconia stone".
Even if the voice is ai, he still needs to write a full on scrips for it to say, or at least ai generate one and read it and rewrite some stuff. Extra work
It's text-to-speech, trained to use his voice -- that's the AI part. Everything else (the visuals, the script, etc.) is currently 100% human-generated, obviously from the context (probably interactively with AI, using ideas from prompts). So he's just saving himself the filming and some of the editing, but still needs to come up with ideas, write scripts, record the audio and probably individually tweak movements and facial expressions one-by-one Honestly just seems like a terrible idea from all angles, given the amount of effort and the results
So, you can't tell me that I'm the only one who noticed that the AI model looks an eerily lot like the metaverse models, right? To be more specific, it literally looks like the one model Mark Zuckerberg uses in ads, but with slight customization done to it. The hair is the weirdest part about it since the curls simultaneously look like they're made of paper *and* like they're a helmet bc there's 0 motion when he moves his head. The voice is also really bad, bc you can easily pick up on the "roboticness" of it. I can't explain it really well besides "it just sounds so obviously fake that I'd rather listen to the IBM singing computer, because it somehow still sounds better".
The Kwebbelkop stuff is even funnier when you look at the dislike ratio I have an extension that lets me still see the dislikes on videos for example this video has 11 dislikes (probably from kwebbelkop fans) Kwebbelkop's newest video, the tnt one, currently has 415 likes, and 1,500 dislikes
I believe that ai can be creative/entertaining, but it’s entirely up to the creator to use it in a creative way. This content is just slop, but look at what people like Jacksfilms and DougDoug are doing with ai.
jacksfilms is a great example in my opinion of how to implement ai to enhance content and comedy. the ai is no replacement for Jack himself, and there is never any indication that he would ever want it to replace him, let alone expect the technology of being capable of such. he thought outside the box and thought of fun ways the utilize the technology to mess around with and create interesting contributions to his videos that he can bounce off of. by doing so, he's really letting his talent and natural comedy shine. ai is merely a prop for him to enhance his own comedy. and not to mention that like, the majority of johncinema's content does not involve ai, it's just one specific form of content he makes, when he's already incredibly creative and always doing so many different things. he really shows an understanding of what the technology is capable of, and still retains his integrity as a sincerely talented creator.
I think what’s so freaking frustrating is that most all this bs is not “AI” it’s CGI! And it’s not creating anything it has to pull from real art and words so no you can’t create something new with this tech yet. As others in the comments said there are programmers and creators using their skills to make things like this already. But most of this fear mongering that artists or actors will lose their jobs to “AI” is STUPID ITS STEALING CONTENT TO USE ITSELF that’s not intelligent that’s plagiarism.
I dont think this is actually AI but probably text to speech, theres a vtuber that does this too Zentreya but she has more personality. The issue here is Kwebblekop just doesnt have a personality so i dont blame people thinking its a lifeless ai.
I watched his podcast appearance on Ordinary Gamers, and he was coping so hard with how he's "fallen off" in metrics because he "doesn't focus on streaming anymore" and is instead making shitty AI content that of course people don't notice because his remaining audience is 5 year olds
I'll be waiting for the reveal that Kwebellkop comes out and says "I never actually did an I vid. They were all just me sitting there reading a script that I had Chatgpt write."
this shit is horrific and an insult to all content creators, like all creative uses of ai, but god the idea of trying to reverse engineer a youtube channel (for kids!) is disgustingly callous imo. like as if marketing and pr doesn't lie to us enough, as if influencers and celebs don't manufacture their images enough, now we can have youtubers just fabricate their entire existence through robots! just the most dystopian thing, i don't know how anyone would think this is acceptable. also, like, i watch youtubers who make content i'm interested in, but whether i gel with their personality is generally why i subscribe. i am fundamentally never going to gel with something devoid of humanity. jesus christ.
Have you seen Neuro-sama? she's an AI Vtuber and I think she can play minecraft, though it's not super well. I don't know, I have never watched her of my own volition (morally opposed to it ofc), but I have seen twitter clips. I think she might be banned now for hate speech but not sure if it got reversed.
I have never been more scared of AI than after watching these videos. I really was confident that AI wouldn't do much damage before because of some blind optimism but now I am done being optimistic. I am scared and these are the end days

I have a game theory that this isn't actually AI and Kwebbelkop is pulling a social experiment

Well, what exactly do you know about AI?
i think AI generated content is the digital equivalent to littering
Just so you know, kwebbelkop has a history of hopping on trends like this. A few years ago he tried to start an nft business and before that he did crypto (iirc), so im not surprised that he hopped on the ai bandwagon before it dies (what i mean by die is that ai will have found its place in society and its not the only news that exists)
Not surprised. Many AI bros are former (Or still are, but a bit ashamed) crypto bros.
I think it's his kink.

yes, being a youtuber is hard, people are allowed to complain about how challenging it is emotionally. but like, in this ai-obsession arc, kwebblecop is being so painfully transparent about how badly he is fit for this job. he got far more famous than he ever deserved, and he's just being so honest about how his values and work ethic are diametrically opposed to the very thing that brought him all his fame and success. not very often we see that lol

wasn't there some sort of robotics/AI rule that they aren't supposed to be able to hurt humans?
Surely the amount of brain damage that KwebAI dishes out is NOT okay.
Off topic but nice Ina pfp :D
I believe you’re referring to Asimov’s three laws of robotics! To summarise, Asimov states the laws as (in summary): a robot cannot allow a human to come to harm, a robot cannot harm a human, and a robot cannot allow harm to come to itself (unless it is therein a contradiction of the first two laws)
Which means that KwebAI is breaking all three laws at once, if you really think about it😭
@@fishethefish7463it's actually:
1. A robot must not harm a human, or allow a human to be harmed through inaction
2. A robot must obey any order given by a human unless it comes into conflict with the first law
3. A robot must protect it's own existence unless it conflicts with either the first or the second law
These laws aren't actually applied to robots or AI in the real world.

I remember when Kwebbelkop blew up at the same time as people like the Vanoss Crew, now look how far he fell

One of my favorite RUclipsrs his thing is making AI systems and giving weird assignments to the ai to do
I do feel that AI has some good uses, especially ones that could help creatives get like a mood board of what they wanna create, but the problem comes in when companies/corporations want to completely replace people with AI and just running with what they output with no second thought.

They should have their own platform like shorts. And then when no one watches it, ai creators can get the message
I do still feel that channels with text to speak voices aren't all that bad when they have original content not made by ai and text to speak could help creators who are mute or self-concious of their voice
I think the only AI in this is a voice to voice, some dude playing Minecraft -> kwebblecops voice
I think if youtube could make it so if content is mostly AI then it receives a more limited monetization as a way to prevent even more content farms
man thats a great idea. there's probably some weird limitations that we'd only recognize if implemented but man, that would really really help reduce the automation of low quality low effort farmed content that floods youtube, as well as discouraging goobers like kwebblecop from idealizing this idea of "going full ai". the only reason anyone would go "full ai" is if they were deeply unemotionally invested, and only cared about making money as lazily as possible. disincentivizing with lowered profits would be a great solution, and discourage the idea of being so unemotionally invested in the content you create.

once, when i was around 8, i read a magazine that mentioned a futuristic world where ai made all the pop songs and movies and tvs shows, and while I i dont remember it being all that negative about this future, I i was terrified. Like, even at 8 years old i knew that was an awful world to live in even if ai gets good enough to do that well.
I think I'm gay (great video btw)
Nice 👍
there's no way this is all ai generated. how does he make the gameplay using ai? the cursor movements do not look like it's a bot playing. and how does the ai know what's going on in the game without a script or knowing what to do, what's good for the gameplay and what's not.

Don’t forget that RUclips’s tagline used to be “broadcast YOURSELF” fjdjdjjjjj
Imagine if the ai just started saying things really out of pocket
We literally live in a dystopia first youtuber's sponsored by big oil and now people trying to replace their channel with ai.

It's text-to-speech, trained to use his voice -- that's the AI part. Everything else (the visuals, the script, etc.) is currently 100% human-generated, obviously from the context (probably interactively with AI, using ideas from prompts). So he's just saving himself the filming and some of the editing, but still needs to come up with ideas, write scripts, record the audio and probably individually tweak movements and facial expressions one-by-one
Honestly just seems like a terrible idea from all angles, given the amount of effort and the results
the gameplay in that first video is 100% not ai generated, anyone who's played minecraft for more then 10 mins can tell
The worst part of it is that he didn’t name the bot KwebbelCopy
So, you can't tell me that I'm the only one who noticed that the AI model looks an eerily lot like the metaverse models, right?
