yeah thats the narrative for ignorant people. every time its been used to completely replace people it has failed pretty miserably. this guy is still recording and editing videos, he is just putting AI dialogue and face rigging on it, and it sucks. no on beyond super young children who don't know better would be able to enjoy this content, all successful uses of AI come from using it as a tell to assist humans who are doing the majority of the work, because AI isn not conscious, it cannot organize anything larger than a single image, or a few paragraphs of dialogue, that stuff has to be edited and implemented by humans. and the TTS thing and the face rigging actually aren't AI unless you think apps like talking tom count as AI, which would be silly.
The funniest part is... this shit isn't even remotely "intelligent". This "ai" or artificial intelligence is basically just a fat ass data-base. Plus a few instructional programs on how to use said data. But all this nonsense people carry on about ai being the next huge thing (it is definitely a threat to the creative industry sadly though... simply by flooding the "market") A basic example (which may be outdated of course by now) would be ai drawings of characters. They have no idea what any part of the person they're making an image of is. And so, when they make hands for example, it really shows that the developers haven't worked out how the ai should interpret all the data of hands (and most parts honestly). If the supposed ai had even a semblance of a clue of what it was doing... well... these mistakes would not be happening to begin with. I believe that the term "Artificial Intelligence" has become sort of a buzz word akin to that of "smart" from a few years ago. It is impressive, surely, and it completes more complex tasks than the previous things we've had... but to call it smart, or intelligent is flat wrong.

Governments all around the world should pass a law regarding A.I. that is every A.I. generated photos and videos should have a mandatory badge that says 'A.I. generated' not conforming to which lands you into penalties or jail time . Good point. Maybe what's coming is an AI that analyzes, let's say the top 50 most popular youtubers, and then generates a whole new character based on a blend of those. Sort of like how most ai artwork has a certain recognizable popular style, but no single artwork can be traced to a particular person, It will have PewDiePie's cheekbones and Ludwig's hair or whatever. It will do easily replicated content like Dhar Mann, or goofy life hacks. If it doesn't succeed, roll a new random seed and try again. I can see some company with serious money investing in this, because if they can get it to work just once, they'll be able to flood RUclips with several channels. None of them individually needs to be as big as charlie, just an ocean of little channels cranking out junk content.

@@ryouds10 well the nice thing about RUclips is that if and human else does the type of video you like even 5% better, you can just switch to them. You just have to find them in the ocean of bots. AI might reach a level though where it's hard to compete with them at gaming the algorithm. You might make better content but the AI stuff gets recommended on the first 10 pages.

Their Menace System they programmed for the Alien is Legendary for what it's capable of doing. A lot of people like me would see a game like Alien Isolation and IMMEDIATELY not touch it with a 50 foot pole. ........however, this wouldn't stop me from being curious about the story. .....so that's where LP'ers come in for me. I get to experience this interactive story alongside someone else, but when shit gets too scary, I don't have to deal with it. The LP'ER has to go down the barely lit hallway. They have to go into the Medical Ward where patient Zero came in off of the Servastopol. I just mentally check back in when it ain't so scary. That's one of the biggest reasons Markiplier is popular. Alot of us won't do scary games......but he will.

From all of the comments I've read over the years. The most popular channels have folks say that they saved their life or helped them through the most difficult times. They don't know the real person behind the channel, who is often drastically different from their online persona. A.I. will be no different. When something is a pleasant daily ritual (like watching our favorite creator), it provides that 10 minute break from everything that you're going through. I hate that we aren't going to know what's real anymore - as a musician I feel that every kind of organic artist will suffer greatly from this wild west A.I. explosion, with no checks and balances early enough to be effective. But even at 59, I can see the reality of the future that is unfolding right in front of me.
My conspiracy theory is that the video is not AI - it's actually Kwebbelkop, and he just wanted to test the waters to see how people would react if his team could get their tech to this level of realism. If the reaction was good, they'd continue to develop it to this level.
Imagine someone dreaming about being a "content creator" and using AI to 1) Write the scripts 2) Be the camera personality... Not so much content creator as AI wrangler dreaming of making free money at that point.

In my point of view, I think this can be a huge problem for existing content creators on RUclips, TikTok, etc. I think this is going to lower the percentage that these content creators make off these videos, especially small ones who are using monetization to pay bills off, etc. I feel like this in the long run is going impact how these platforms choose to monetize creators, if they do that I hope they go off stuff like, Account Creation Date, Number of Videos Published, Subscribers in (X) Period of Time, etc.
Why is there not further backlash over this? Like with how quick people are to violence, I'm genuinely shocked there aren't already mobs of people calling for the death of whatever programers that contributed to the creation or further development of AI. Like seriously, they're actively creating a dystopian world that will be worse off for all of us.

yeah thats the narrative for ignorant people. every time its been used to completely replace people it has failed pretty miserably. this guy is still recording and editing videos, he is just putting AI dialogue and face rigging on it, and it sucks. no on beyond super young children who don't know better would be able to enjoy this content, all successful uses of AI come from using it as a tell to assist humans who are doing the majority of the work, because AI isn not conscious, it cannot organize anything larger than a single image, or a few paragraphs of dialogue, that stuff has to be edited and implemented by humans. and the TTS thing and the face rigging actually aren't AI unless you think apps like talking tom count as AI, which would be silly.

A basic example (which may be outdated of course by now) would be ai drawings of characters. They have no idea what any part of the person they're making an image of is. And so, when they make hands for example, it really shows that the developers haven't worked out how the ai should interpret all the data of hands (and most parts honestly).
If the supposed ai had even a semblance of a clue of what it was doing... well... these mistakes would not be happening to begin with.

I think the most hilarious thing about Ai generated content is that the people making the Ai content will inevitably get too lazy to actually watch and moderate the content, or develop an Ai that does that for them too. Good point. Maybe what's coming is an AI that analyzes, let's say the top 50 most popular youtubers, and then generates a whole new character based on a blend of those. Sort of like how most ai artwork has a certain recognizable popular style, but no single artwork can be traced to a particular person, It will have PewDiePie's cheekbones and Ludwig's hair or whatever. It will do easily replicated content like Dhar Mann, or goofy life hacks. If it doesn't succeed, roll a new random seed and try again. I can see some company with serious money investing in this, because if they can get it to work just once, they'll be able to flood RUclips with several channels. None of them individually needs to be as big as charlie, just an ocean of little channels cranking out junk content.

AI might reach a level though where it's hard to compete with them at gaming the algorithm. You might make better content but the AI stuff gets recommended on the first 10 pages.

So in theory, someone can take that AI generated content and do whatever the Hell they want to do with it and there isn't a damn thing that he can do about it because he admits himself that it is ALL AI GENERATED.
I am seriously waiting for someone to take his AI generated "content" and use it for any other purpose than what was initially intended for the sole reason of poking him with a stick to provoke him to TRY and copystrike the content, or to sue for copyright infringement. I seriously can't wait for that day and it'll just take someone else like me to realize that it isn't protected by copyright and to go to town with it. I suspect that day isn't long off and closer than we realize.

You dont need good content and lots of work and a real person to create good kids content and surely you dont need a real person for ads anymore, and movies star actors are going extinct soon. From all of the comments I've read over the years. The most popular channels have folks say that they saved their life or helped them through the most difficult times. They don't know the real person behind the channel, who is often drastically different from their online persona. A.I. will be no different. When something is a pleasant daily ritual (like watching our favorite creator), it provides that 10 minute break from everything that you're going through. I hate that we aren't going to know what's real anymore - as a musician I feel that every kind of organic artist will suffer greatly from this wild west A.I. explosion, with no checks and balances early enough to be effective. But even at 59, I can see the reality of the future that is unfolding right in front of me.
I think that “Made by human” will become a product tag like “Organic” or “Hand-made”.

In my point of view, I think this can be a huge problem for existing content creators on RUclips, TikTok, etc. I think this is going to lower the percentage that these content creators make off these videos, especially small ones who are using monetization to pay bills off, etc. I feel like this in the long run is going impact how these platforms choose to monetize creators, if they do that I hope they go off stuff like, Account Creation Date, Number of Videos Published, Subscribers in (X) Period of Time, etc.
Why is there not further backlash over this? Like with how quick people are to violence, I'm genuinely shocked there aren't already mobs of people calling for the death of whatever programers that contributed to the creation or further development of AI. Like seriously, they're actively creating a dystopian world that will be worse off for all of us.
