ever since danny gonzalez made those ads and showed that all of it cost a whooping 20 thousand dollars i get mortified whenever an ad isnt by a company, but by a single rich person. insane
it's not anything incredible but he's got a lot of promise. the animation is well-done (even if a little cursed) and some of the beats are actually pretty good. It's easy to laugh at but he's having fun and that makes it feel special. I'd rather someone make something as best they can than put out soulless music

I remember this ad. Once I was trying to screenshare a video to a friend but my browser wasn't letting me so I started using a weird ass browser just for screenshare RUclips videos. But the built in ad block was so bad I ALWAYS got the vacation ad and couldn't skip it. Even demonetized videos would get the vacation ad. It was a nightmare

Alternatively, since the previous lyric was “if you can smile” it might mean that he is pointing out that people who claim to empathize with him cannot do so, since they are able to smile while he very much cannot.
The final interpretation I’m seeing is that this is an aggressive pep talk, as if to say “If you can smile, you can push forward. Do not wallow in your sadness.”
But of course the point of art is to be interpreted in a myriad of ways, and these are of course my own interpretations based on what I see in that art.
