Hello and good morning . I was just watching your mdrx video and I was wondering if you have shot your mdrx quite a bit with that large scope on it and so close to the muzzle ? If so did your scope suffer any damage to the lens ? I just got mine all set up and it looks almost identical to yours size wise and I am just a little concerned about my brand new glass.... your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and have a blessed day.
@@raimondrestbergs oh man I’m confusing videos. I was talking about the 10/22 Trek 22. This one I’m still dialing in. Been shooting trash ammo. I’ll be posting videos with non trash ammo soon. It’s about 2 MOA with cheep trash ammunition at 250M. But that’s not fair to the gun. I’ll get back to you once I have had time to run quality ammo through it.
I love the concept and idea. It needs the bugs worked out. I returned and was refunded as it couldn’t hold zero and has repeated ejection problems. Until that’s fixed I’m personally not interested. I do however have an SRS from them that’s pure magic and has become my primary gun. That’s my honest 2 cents.
Why do people buy side eject conversion kits if all you have to do is pop off the forward eject port assembly? Something doesn't add up because another channel said he would prefer side eject but it requires a side eject barrel. You're saying you just pop off the forward eject port. BTW, the reason he wanted to go back to side eject was because with side eject you can see where the jam is easier than forward eject; if you have a jam. I think people might be mistaking a jam for retention of the casing, which, when that happens doesn't matter, the next round will push it out. Its not really a jam. Trust me, I've never owned a semiautomatic rifle before and I've shot 50 rounds now so I'm an expert. 🙂
The side ejection kit keeps the rounds ejection trajectory consistent. Keeps it from slapping your hand or face. You can remove it in a pinch but that’s not how it’s designed to work. Yes it retains a spent shell and I can see how people might think that’s a jam. You can also just cycle the receiver when you have the forward ejection kit on it and that will push the spent shell out as well.
Hi, if you are looking for a can and want to retain that non AR-15 look, check out the Acheron MDR E4. It is purpose built for the MDR(x) by a small Swiss company. Made out of Steel with an overbarrel design keeping the package compact and the weight to the back as much as possible. Runs perfectly for me so far.
@@TJackSurvival sorry for sending you on a chase. They explicitly mention on their website that this is a non- ITAR item, so didn‘t think there would be an issue
@@nikos6220 it’s all good. I’m hoping to get access to another Silencerco suppressor. The one for my .22 is amazing! It’s a Sparrow and I’m all about supporting local or quality any time I can.
@@TJackSurvival maybe 1 day I will get to shoot 1 / seen you said that in vid I know it can be worked out just takes the time and engineering skill to get it done
There's about to be a whole lot more bullpups being sold now that the Brandon Administration is pretty much destroying the AR/AK pistol market. If you can, let's see more reviews of the Desert Tech bullpup 10/22 and the Keltec rifle bullpups. Maybe an SKS bullpup. Thanks for a great review on this 308. I'd really really like to find a bullpup in 9mm that uses Glock mags. I thought I had found one from J--- but they had already discontinued it. Until I find one like that I'll stick with the compact lightweight Sub2000. Thanks
I love Desert Tech and I know this MDRX can take a conversation kit to 5.56, I think but don’t quote me that there’s a 9mm available as well. I have a Desert Tech SRS in 338 Lapua that I’m building that I’ll Absolutely demo here. Aside from that I’ll See if I can get some loaner rifles to do videos on. And sadly you’re right about the admin. Hopefully that changes soon.
I haven’t weighed it. The website link in the description should have the technical specs though. It’s beefy but lighter than some AR-10’s I’ve played with and owned over the year
You did have it backwards.

Excellent idea and review. Planning on ordering the 2023 MDRX Tungsten/Black in .308 16" Barrel.
I saw those they’re beautiful
Did you get any damage on your scope lens being so close to the muzzle ??????
Have you had anything break in the rifle?
I enjoyed the review, may i ask what discount you used on their website?
I didn’t get a website discount. I bought it directly from them at the location.
I like that set up very nice
Ya me to. I’m kinda partial to it
What is the accuracy like?
The gun is spot on but that red dot drifts. I’m going to swap scopes in the future. It’s more accurate than my 10/22 take down
@@TJackSurvival what are your group sizes at what distance and with what ammo?

After a little research I found that a Swiss silencer can’t be imported into the US.

Unfortunately, this is the only CA compliant Modular rifle that can chamber 5.56 AND .308 so I plan to get it in the future.
