I looked up how to do this because I just bought the same true precision slide. I did not realize there was an old and new extractor. I would assume my extractor is the old one since I bought my 365 almost as soon as the 365 came out. Does the true precision slide need the old or new extractor, or does it work with either?
Hi Wayne, sorry to say I don't have a clear answer for you. I showed the old and new extractors in the video but there are some people that are saying I have it backwards. When you google it they show it the way I have it and the reverse of how I have it. I would say to try the one you have and if it doesn't work then order the opposite extractor. Let me know how you make out. Thanks for watching! 👍🏼🤜🤛
My factory fresh (spare part) striker has a bigger back end and I can't slide the rear cap over. The lug thing on the lower right (looking at it from the bottom) is bigger than yours seems to be. SLiding the end cap in without the striker and measuring the available space shows shorter space than the lug. Looking at your striker your lug is shorter. The SIG part was KIT-365-STRIKER, Striker Assembly 365, 9mm. (Also using true precision slide per chance)
I know SIG changed the Striker Assembly for the newer P365. If you look at the picture below it will show you which one is compatible. I hope this is helpful. Also, let me know if you can see the picture I posted in the comments.
i currently own an X macro. I am planning on purchasing the original frame with 10rd mag, 12rd mag, and pink extension base plate. on top of that on sigs website they have a sale going on for a 3.1 size slide with a romeozero elite 3 red dot on sale. with all that taken into account im thinking that i theoretically can make and will have 4 guns (not counting the pinking extension) using that slide and my X macro slide. my question is, can i swap the upper components in my X macro to the naked slide and will it plug and play?
Hi Dominionn, I use this pistol as my EDC. I can't speak for anyone else but I haven't had any reliability issues since I've swapped the slide out. Hope this helps. 👍🏼
Do u like that grip module over the Wilson combat(icarus is too expensive for me lol)? I can't decide what to upgrade to lol...loved the video and will definitely be coming back to it when I get a new slide! You got a sub from me!
Hi Scott, I like them both. It is a hard choice. If you like your grip to be thicker then go with the Wilson combat. If not, go with the grey guns grip. Thanks so much for subbing. Have a great day buddy.
Big Thumbs Up! Thanks a lot - got mine put together. Where did you get the grip module and which one is it? I have seen it on a site for sale, but couldn't make up my mind on what color until seeing the one you had. Is that Sniper Gray? And is that the scales pattern? I think that is what I read. Thanks again.
Hi Barry, awesome! So glad you got yours together. I got the grip from Grayguns.com and you’re correct, the color is sniper gray. The site doesn’t say the name of the pattern. The name of the grip on the site is called Laser-sculpted grip modules - P365 & P365XL. I hope that helps. Thanks again for watching and leaving comments. Have a great day buddy.
Great video! Thanks! Any grease or oil needed on these components? I have a new slide completion kit with all of these components. They have not previously been used, so I’m wondering if I need to lube them when I install in my new slide. Thoughts?
Hi Chadhoop, I'm glad you like the video. I would say you can grease any parts that make contact with other parts. Also, a little bit of grease goes a long way. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
I have the new extractor that I'm placing in a fdez slide but the pin is sticking out to much on the interior of the slide, if I poke it back through it will be sticking too far out and I can't get the red dot mounting plate to sit flush on the slide, any idea what I could be doing wrong?
I’m guessing FDEZ’s slide isn’t as thick as the original stock slide. If it was me I would contact FDEZ and ask if they sell a pin that would fit their slides. If you call FDEZ, let me know what they say. Thanks 🤜🤛
Excellent Tutorial video! Were you able to use the Sig recoil spring without any failures for the true precision slide or did you end up swapping out the spring? Thank you and I am now a subscriber.
Hi Jamie, I’m so glad you liked the video. I was able to use the SIG recoil spring that came with the pistol. To date I still haven’t had any malfunctions at all. Thanks for watching, leaving a comment and subscribing. Have a great day. 🤜🏼🤛🏼
It should work because the p365x has the same slide as the normal P365. To be 100% sure, you can ask the slide manufacturer if your p365 slide internals would be compatible before you purchase the slide. Let me know how you make out. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
On the True Precision slide. A t10 is a Torx and is not a hex bit, like what should be used. (It works as it is the same diameter). The actual thing needed seems to be a 2.5mm (or 7/64??) hex end wrench. The charts say T10 is 7/64 and T9 is 2.5mm but the 7/64 didn't quite fit on mine but the 2.5mm worked perfectly.
Hi Edward, you could call SIG and ask them if they know by you giving them the number on your FCU. The other way is by just removing the extractor and checking. It's really easy to remove your extractor. I have a video on my channel that shows you how to remove and reinstall your p365 extractor. Heres the link to the video. ruclips.net/video/ctMAeiFscUs/видео.html Let me know how you make out. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
Hi HeadTracks, yes, this slide would be used for the regular size P365 to add a Romeo sight. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
Luckily my AR build kit has an appropriately sized roll pin starter punch (the one with the hollow end that goes over the pin). Made it easy to stick the pin in.
Glad I saw your comment - I ordered a set because the Sig OEM pin is huge compared to the hole. I have the same slide he is showing and I am doubtful I can get the pin in. We'll see - but thanks again for posting. Question - does the starter punch you are talking about depress the roll pin any or does it just give you the leverage of holding the pin while you try to tap it in place?

Hey Chris, I’m glad the video helped out. I would go with with the Holosun 507k x2 or the RMRcc (Keep in mind if you go with the RMRcc you might need to use a mounting plate if you bought the True Precision slide) over the RMSC. @@chriskoodray6299 Hey Chris, the hole was slightly smaller than the stock slide. At first it didnt seem like it was going to work but it definitely does work. Before I put the extractor in place I tapped the Pin in the hole just to get it started first. Then I setup the extractor and spring in place and tapped the pin in the rest of the way in. I didnt really do anything differently than that. I hope this helps. Let me know how you make out.
Hi Boombastic, I know it looks gray but the packaging says black DLC. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day and please tell your friends about the channel. 😁🤜🏼🤛🏼
Hi Jordan, the slide I picked up was 395. They also sell a complete slide setup with all the internals that cost 650. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
What did you do to get the pin to fit? I have the same slide and an original Sig pin to hold the extractor in place. But it's WAY too big to use. Here is the problem, if I get a thinner pin, the hole in the extractor is the size of the thicker Sig pin. So it will be sloppy and not hold the extractor in place like it should. I am afraid that might cause problems because it will allow for too much play. It may cause it to wear out sooner or fail. I see no way around this other than drilling the hole out to accept the thicker Sig pin. Am I wrong?
Hi Barry, I had the same issue with my slide. The pin seems too big but in the video I used the original pin and just tapped it in. It was a little hard to get the pin in but it worked. I hope this helps. Let me know how you make out.
@@UBRArsenal Thanks for the response. I decided to order a pin starter punch. My eyesight is at issue and I think I need the stability. Won't hurt to own a set anyway and yes, I will let you know. They should be here on Sunday.
@@UBRArsenal You may have seen my other reply's but I deleted them because I kept working at it and finally got the ping all the way down where it is supposed to be. It literally just took a bigger hammer!
You got your extractor pic backwards. You're showing the new extractor as the old version. The rounded off version is the old one, the hook version is new
Not 100% on this, but I think you have the older/newer style extractors swapped. The newer style should have that little crescent cutout on the middle- Great video for those looking to take apart their slides tho!
Hi Ben, when I looked at the extractors up on Google that what came up. I also checked multiple sources. I’m so glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
I can see where the confusion on this comes from. The firearm blog has it labeled like it is in the video. Sig message boards have it the other way around..when looking on ebay if you look at the parts kit it's the other way around. The extractor with the key looking imprint is the new style, while the other is the old. Strike industries who also sells slides has them labeled opposite of what's in the video. So much conflicting information
Hey Harry… Great video, I saved it to my library for future reference! 👍🏻 BTW…the newer 365s have newer back plates that use a different technique to remove (I found out the hard way LOL) Basically you have to push down on the striker safety while sliding & pushing down on the back plate notch to get the cap off. I think Sig did this change just to piss people off. FYI…I have to send you a pic of my P320 X- Compact updates. Just picked up the Wilson Combat Grip Module and the 4.3 inch threaded barrel, it has moved to 10/10 next to the FN 509 Compact Tactical. Hope all is well and be safe my friend!!! 👍🏻🇺🇸
Hey AJ, I'm glad you liked the video. A buddy of mine has a newer 365. Maybe I can borrow his and make a video on the updated striker setup emoval. Hope all is well with you and stay safe buddy. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

Hi there, the slide was good for when I bought it but I still like it. I heard the new version of this slide is better because you don’t need to modify the slide or use a mounting plate to run a Holosun optic. I added a link below where you can buy the hammer and punch set I use in the video. Thanks for watching and have a great day.

@@UBRArsenal Thank you very much for the info. Also, the snake skin design looks great on that frame. I will touch base with the Detroit Holster during the week. I will let them know I saw the product on your channel. Is that a black color, or gray? Tough to tell in the video. Is that the XL variant? Really enjoy you channel and I did subscribe so keep up the good work! Regards.
I’m so glad you liked the video. This grip module is an XL grip in sniper gray. I got this grip from GrayGuns website. I made some changes to this pistol so it looks completely different now. If you want to see what it looks like now, click the link below. Thanks for leaving a comment and especially for subscribing, it really helps the channel out. Have a great day.

It doesn't look like YT will let me post a screenshot. So here's the link that will take you to the picture. Hope this helps. postimg.cc/VSZCK0Jg
i currently own an X macro.
Do you have a tutorial of this for a p320 xcompact?
Hey Rob, sorry I don’t have one yet. I’ll add this to my list of videos to make. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day!
Will this not be a good idea for an every day carry? Will it effect reliability?
Are the 365xl parts the same as the 365x parts or is there a difference anywhere?
Can you swap the internals from the 365 slide to a 365xl slide?
What color did you go with for the slide and grip?
Hey Elijah, the slide is Black DLC and the grip is Sniper Gray. Have a great day.
I now feel confident in using this aftermarket slide and thanks to you be able to assemble it! Keep the videos coming.
That’s awesome! This is the reason I post these videos. 😁
I have a p365x, if i where to buy a p365 slide would my p365x slide parts work with it?
It should work because the p365x has the same slide as the normal P365. To be 100% sure, you can ask the slide manufacturer if your p365 slide internals would be compatible before you purchase the slide. Let me know how you make out. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
Is the grip module black?
Hi Ricky, no, the grip module is sniper gray. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
👍🏼🤜🤛
great video
Hi Khris, I'm so glad the video helped out. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
@@UBRArsenal you as well!
What grip is that?
Hi Elijah, it’s a GreyGuns p365 grip module.
Thank you!
How do you know if you have the new version of the extractor without taking it apart?
Hi Edward, you could call SIG and ask them if they know by you giving them the number on your FCU. The other way is by just removing the extractor and checking. It's really easy to remove your extractor. I have a video on my channel that shows you how to remove and reinstall your p365 extractor. Heres the link to the video. ruclips.net/video/ctMAeiFscUs/видео.html Let me know how you make out. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
Thanks man, I will check that vid out.
Thank you
I’m glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
So would this be the slide I would add to my p365 regular size to be able to add the Romeo sights?
Hi HeadTracks, yes, this slide would be used for the regular size P365 to add a Romeo sight. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
What color is your slide? Looks great
Hey Styles, thanks! The color is called stealth gray. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
what is the component called @9:41?
Hi Matt, that’s part is the striker safety. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼
Where did you get that grip module?
Hi Joe, that grip module is from Gray Guns website. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
@@UBRArsenal nice 👍 one of the best I’ve seen
@@JayyBird93 Thanks Joe. You should also check out the Icarus Precision Grip module. I uploaded a review on my channel. The link to that review is listed below. Let me know what you think of that grip.

You think the radian ramjet and afterburner will work on this slide?
I wish I had one so I could confirm that for you.
It was confirmed on reddit that it does fit
Great, thanks for letting me know. Have a great day. 👍🏼
Great video! Saved me a lot of time. How do you like the RMSC compared to Holosun rmr?
Hey Chris, I’m glad the video helped out. I would go with with the Holosun 507k x2 or the RMRcc (Keep in mind if you go with the RMRcc you might need to use a mounting plate if you bought the True Precision slide) over the RMSC. I uploaded a review of the RMSC optic. I added a link to that review below, just in case you want more detail. Let me know what optic you go with. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.

@@UBRArsenal any suggestions getting the attractor pin in? having a hard time getting it started
@@UBRArsenal thank you! Got it!
@@chriskoodray6299 Great, Im glad you got it to work.
What color is the frame?
Hi there, if you're talking about the grip module then the color is gray. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
What color us your True Precision slide black or gray? Thanks!
Hi Boombastic, I know it looks gray but the packaging says black DLC. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day and please tell your friends about the channel. 😁🤜🏼🤛🏼
How much was the new slide?
Hi Jordan, the slide I picked up was 395. They also sell a complete slide setup with all the internals that cost 650. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
two thumbs up -A+++ and thank you :)
Hi Archie, I’m glad the video helped out. You’re very welcome and thank you for leaving this awesome comment. Have a great day buddy. 👍🏼
You should be using a roll pin punch, not a standard 3mm as is can fold the pin inward.
Hey Harry…
Great video, I saved it to my library for future reference! 👍🏻
BTW…the newer 365s have newer back plates that use a different technique to remove (I found out the hard way LOL) Basically you have to push down on the striker safety while sliding & pushing down on the back plate notch to get the cap off.
Maybe I can borrow his and make a video on the updated striker setup
emoval. I really like the way the Wilson Combat Grip Module looks. Where did you pick up yours? If you find time to send over the pictures, please do. 10/10 wow, I can only imagine how nice that setup is. Hope all is well with you and stay safe buddy. 🤜🏼🤛🏼
sheeit i just saw mine is like you described hopfully theres a video showing how to remove it
What nightmare to clean. Now I know the negatives that come with a 365. I like the simple process for the P320, much, much better.
Hey Erik, are you talking about cleaning the FCU?
You have the extractors marked BACKWARDS! The new style extractor has the oval shaped hole and the old style extractor has the round hole.
There’s no plunger on mine like that
Hi Frank, I guess the manufacture didnt put one in. You can reach out to SIG and let them know. They might just send one out to you. Let me know how you make out. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
My pin can not goes in
Hi Jesse, are you talking about the extractor pin? If yes, the pin seems like it doesn’t fit but it’s a very snug fit. Just be very careful when installing the pin, follow the video’s step by step instructions and you should be good. Let me know how you make out.
@@UBRArsenal Thanks will try again
