Ordered mine as soon as I saw this video. Came in today and watched the video again, rewound a couple of times during install. It went together easy. Grip feels way better than the factory grip. Love it! Waiting for the sights to come out. Thank you.
I installed the WC module this evening. Had a good bit of trouble installing the magazine catch and spring, took 6-7 tries to get it lined up, and then i had to put a good bit of pressure on the mag release button, to push the opposite side of the catch out far enough to install the lock.Once that was done, the FCU did not want to seat at the trigger end. I finally got it locked in place, and it works fine. Very nice grip, although i did not get the rods, will try it at the range first.
took me about 5 minutes to get the magazine catch installed and about 1 minute to do the rest. Great upgrade. You really have to press firmly on the mag catch to push through to the other side and then guess right as to which way to insert the lock or it will all fall out and you start over.
Same! I just installed mine an hour ago. I kept trying to bypass the plastic, with the spring, that's meant to provide tension for the spring! Silly mistake. Love the grip already.
Wilson is one the best companies I have dealt with. Beautiful products, excellent workmanship and great customer service. They did a fantastic job on my Beretta 92. Highly recommend.
Just put mine on. I like how in the video that little spring never falls on the floor three times like it does at my house. Maybe that's why I'm not working for Wilson Combat. Grip feels awesome, thanks WC.
Just got mine this evening. Took 5 minutes to swap out the stock P365 XL grip module to the WC. Fits great, feels superior to the stock SIG grip, and should feel great when shooting. Will find out tomorrow. Thank you, WC!
Got mine last week. Easy switch over from the factory one. It makes a great gun complete, and I dare say game-changing perfection! Anyone with any size hands will love it. The stock one is not bad but this one just fills the hand with a slight palm swell. The fit and form balance out the XL, and as a bonus, it looks great!!
Ok... just received and installed and wow....it is a definite must do if you have larger hands.... you pinky does slide off into no man's Lans. Super grippy texture and a completely new gun feel... this is a definite HOMERUN Wilson... cheers
My WC p365xl grip module arrived yesterday evening. I had it installed in minutes. The difference between the stock grip module and the WC is outstanding. The only thing that I found slightly objectionable was the texture of the front and back stippling. It was a bit harsh for my tender old fingers, so I masked off the grip with blue painters tape, only revealing the front and back strap. A little 220 grit sandpaper action made it satisfactory in a matter of seconds. Feels like a whole new gun and looks like a costly upgrade when in fact the price was not at all objectionable. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
FCU has been a great solution for concerns about polymer durability. Autoloaders have had extensive grip customization for a pretty long time now. The S&W CXS is the first alloy frame that I have noticed it on though.
A new grip is fine and dandy but why have we not opened up the discussion as to why we are still playing these stupid games with these proprietary rails. Why is Wilson combat not putting a freaking Picatinny rail? It’s extremely frustrating to see a supposed all new grip module with all the same bullshit and no actual innovation. Yeah it looks clean and pretty neat looking but where is the functionality when it comes to installing aftermarket shit? If they’re going to be putting out grip module the aftermarket community needs to be putting out products that actually fit the damn thing. So far I only know of two that actually fit the proprietorial rail.
No offense to wheelgun lovers. There's just no point anymore. Except to own, and shoot to enjoy, those are the only benefits of a wheelgun in this day.
One thing they left out and it is VERY important. After removing the fire assembly, do not lay it on its left side. Lay it down on its right side. If it is resting on its left side, when you go to pick it up for reassembly, the slide lock will fall out of its nest, and you will probably need a gunsmith to reassemble it. I dropped mine off yesterday at a local gunsmith shop.
What in the world are you talking about? I have had the fcu out and about, manhandled all kinds of ways and installed a manual safety with ZERO issues. I'm genuinely curious what EXACTLY happened to your fcu that you think you have to lay it down in a specific manner??
@@orilion1820 I'll type slowly so you might understand better. This is what happened-I layed my fcu down on it's left side. I am going finish my coffee first, but then this is an immediate order for my XL. Thank you. I have thought since day one with this firearm that it only needed a little more aggressive texturing to be the perfect Florida carry gun. We sweat down here ya know. Thanks again and by the way, my 25yr old Wilson 38 super still shoots one hole groups and functions flawlessly.
My WC grip module was an excellent addition to my P365X and XL. Affords fantastic grip for my support hand. Now, I hope that WC produces a grip module for my P365X Macro.
Just installed mine! Mag release took a few tries but it all fits together nicely. Added the Tungsten weights(tip: use a sliver of tape to make sure they seat snugly with no wiggle). Gun feels substantially better in hand and the weight is solid and balanced. Headed to the range in a bit to test it out.
I have small hands which is why I chose the 365, the factory grip module is kind of boxy on the hands and on the Wilson Combat I can definitely feel my entire palm resting on the grip instead of just uneven pressure. Really nice how Sig makes it easy to swap out grips with the actual Serial number being on the fire control unit.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder--I know, but that Wilson frame looks so much better. Market dictates what gets produced, and I suspect the rail wins the day, but oh if only someone would make a frame, esp for the P320, without a rail.
Cool I like it! The 365 is just as easy as my Kel Tec P-11 to change frames which is nice for sure! Plus you always have an extra frame if you need it again.
I recently got a Wilson Grip for the P365 xmacro. I have xl long hands. This a the single most important upgrade i have on the pistol. The factory grip is blocky with hot spots and valleys which alters my nature grip. Even with a large back strap my nature grip point left on target. While I can train to compensate( I did), it is not at good as comfortable, natural point of aim. The Wilson grip does that. If you want to go out and spend $400 on custom module that's on you. For $75, the Wilson grip is perfect IMO.
Installed mine today. I love it. The backstrap appears to have slightly more "swell" to it and fits my big hand better now, and thepattern molded into the grip makes the skin on my side a lot happier now LOL Wilson Combat should offer the plastic cap on the end of the 15 rd and new 17 rd Sig P365 mags to help better match the WC grip . HINT HINT WC might ought to consider making a similar frame for the Sig P320 AND M17 now too. The added beaver tail sure works good on the P365 and would on P320 too IMO. HINT HINT. Also....they should mention IF your "take down lever" is not under "spring tension" or is not wanting to go into it's locked position, press the *slide lock down* and then position the take down lever into it's proper position.. Not knowing this will give a first timer a hard time.

BE SURE THAT the takedown lever is rotated FULLY FORWARD (Clockwise) before reinstalling the slide! If the takedown lever is in an intermediate position, the slide will jam horribly onto the FCU rails! Also make sure that the striker safety lever is in the DOWNWARD position, otherwise it will prevent the slide from moving far enough backward. If you have a manual safety, you need to switch it off in order to remove the slide.
I think I figured out the trick with the mag catch. When you first look at it, it appears that the locking tab is what provides tension on the spring. It is not. If you deliberately tension the spring against that tab when you install the catch, you should be able to push it through with minimal catching.
