Sig Sauer P365 safety lever and slide catch install video • Sig Sauer P365 safety ...
I feel like you’re talking directly to me when you say “Do not get agitated, Do not force things”! Thank you for that Sir!
I was! 😏
If you don't get agitated, you're not a gunsmith.
I'm just going to say, I was hesitant on installing this, then I watched this video and it took me less than 5 minutes to do. ZERO issues. Thanks for this video!
now to get up the courage for the spring kit :)
I develop technical manuals for various military platform maintenance instructions. I am extremely impressed with your methodical and steady approach, which yields ease of understanding and clearly explained steps. The end result is the successful replacement of the Sig Sauer P365 original stock trigger with the Armory Craft flat trigger. I appreciate your calm approach in which I successfully replaced the trigger following your instructions the first time and all parts re-installed the first time with no issues as well. I think your recommendation to watch the video all the way through before attempting to perform the procedure is excellent advice. I watched the video twice and when I performed the procedure while listening a third time, I felt as if I had already replaced the trigger, so nothing felt foreign because your video instructions are so clear and easy to follow. In addition to this video, I combined it with the manual safety installation to ensure I included the correct steps for removing the safety to gain access to the pin to be able to remove the take down lever safety bar. Combining the two procedures enabled me to successfully replace the trigger with no issues. Excellent job! Thanks for taking the time to support gun enthusiasts to work on their own firearms with the assistance of a licensed gunsmith.
This was an EXCELLENT tutorial on replacing the trigger and spring assembly/ First rate. Followed it step by step and it was a breeze.
Excellent video, very well detailed. I’ve done three trigger changes now. And they’ve all been super easy thanks to this video.
Outstanding job. I’m usually not the guy looking up help. Thank You.
Thanks again. I used this when I put my AC trigger in last year and my granddaughter and I just put the AC trigger in her new 365XL today, thanks to this video.
Excellent! Next time have your granddaughter do it for you. I bet she can! Nice work bud.
@@SigGuy she did it all except the spring. She struggled with that using the needle-nose pliers and the pick, so I did that one step. She kept pausing the video to make sure she was doing each step correctly. My granddaughter, like my daughter, wants to know how things work and they don't mind getting their hands dirty.
I did this swap in 20 minutes. Your step by step walk through is perfect. Cheers!
Your videos are hands down the best on the internet. Hands down. And on top of that, anytime I’ve bought anything from your website it has arrived super quickly with no problems at all. You’re doing the world a great service here, Sig Guy. Thank you.
Thank you very much for the great feedback and compliment. I really appreciate your support sir.
Just wanted to thank you for the tutorial. Flat trigger installed and I couldn't be happier.
S C™ awesome. Good job bud. I appreciate the positive feedback also thank you!
@@SigGuy , hey SSG you never really replied but I asked once about shortening the trigger creep and raising the trigger pound to ensure safety. I've looked at my P365 FCU and figured if I just shave a little off the sear where the striker face rest or maybe a very small shave on both the sear and trigger face would shorten the creep. Then I would buy a heavy trigger spring to raise the trigger pull from +5 to hopefully 8 pound pull. What are your thoughts?
Yahooblows me personally I modify my EDC pistols very little. I tried a companies spring kit and I had nothing but feed, extract and light primer strikes. Took it out immediately. Risk is not worth the reward (which with the 365 there is none because there is very little you can do with the action.
@@SigGuy ,ok. I'll wait it out, I think sooner or later some company will make a shorter trigger for the P365 eventually since it's so popular.
@@yahooblowsme4598 The Sig Armorer does an action job for the 365 that will take care of what you are looking for.
Thank you! I didn’t think I was ever going to get my P365 back together. This is so much better than another video that just tells you to tap the trigger bar and it will fall into place. Impossible!
I was cleaning my gun and i took out my FCU for the first time to get a little deeper into it. My takedown safety bar fell out and i was in a panic. This is my EDC and i was planning a range day tomorrow. I thought i rendered my gun useless and i would have to wait to take it into a gunsmith. This video saved my ass! Thank you!
A masterpiece, well explained and very much appreciated. Thank you Sir!
This helped me over a year ago, and it helped again today. Thank you for putting this together.
Great video, much appreciate it. I'd say this job is medium plus difficulty of a 7 out of 10, this video made it doable for a medium skill guy with proper tools.
Thanks for the video! Took a bit of a shortcut on my 365xl MS because I couldn’t do it exactly the way you did since the safety was in the way for one of the steps but the video still kept me on track! Many thanks. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I wish I had the safety conversion kit at the making of this video. It literally takes 10 seconds to take off the manual safety assembly. It would’ve helped so many people.
Awesome video! Took me about 40 minutes, including cleaning and greasing, to install the slightly-curved AC trigger.
Thanks for producing this video. It walked me right through the installation of the Sig OEM flat trigger yesterday. Very pleased with the feel of it. As you stated, the last step was the hardest by far. Overall, not a bad side project and saved me the $50 of having a gunsmith do it. Again, thanks!
Ryan Cook excellent feedback and congrats! Haven’t heard from one person that wasn’t able to complete this install. Very satisfying when you can do it yourself! Nice work bud.
Great video, thanks so much! I just replaced my trigger in about 10 minutes with a 90 degree pick and needle nose pliers. And for those wondering if there is a difference for the version with the manual thumb safety (P365 MS), the job is exactly the same- you just push the silver pin out until it touches the underside of the safety and continue from there.
Larry Shreddy good to know bud. Thanks for the update!!
Awesome to know. I was wondering whether I needed to remove the manual safety to replace the trigger. Thanks.
Larry Shreddy Thank you!
Fantastic video. Seriously, provided great step by step info with necessary details and close ups while explaining the “Don’ts” thanks!
Patience is a virtue, and I have NONE. Your video is so detailed that my triggger installation was so fluent and smooth that for a second or two I thought I am a PRO. I was laughing at you when your trigger bar spring popped out- yeah I am an Evil.
SAS has different take down lever but once again with your video it was easy to figure out the position of the lever.
Many Thanks !!!!
My Apologizes for laughing.
David G. And comments like this my friend are what make it all worth doing. That’s awesome. Congrats pro! 🤙🏼
Sig Sauer Guy has done an excellent & professional job putting together this install video. The P365 trigger upgrade is very intimidating for me to attempt. Thank you very much for your fine work.
Thank you very much sir for the kind words! I really appreciate it.
Thanks for this. Just completed it and admittedly a bit more technical than I originally thought it would be. Had to check the other vid too since slide catch fell out. Cheers!
Chase Mullins congrats bud! Nice work!!!
Found this video in the midst of rage quitting and treating my FCU like I’m 13 and it’s my Xbox controller after losing a heated 1v1 me on rust. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
Thank you for the tutorial I was able to replace my trigger in 15 min. My gunstore wanted to charge me 80 dollars to do it. Great job THX
If not the best, i'd say easy one of the best tutorial/How to videos i've ever seen. Just did mine step by step. Thanks
Comments like yours are always the best! Thank you sir I really appreciate it.
@@SigGuy Absolutely, I’m currently having breakfast and taking pictures of the 365 after the trigger swap 🤣 can’t get enough of her now.
Ok this is one of the best tutorials I’ve seen on RUclips. You must know me. He reinforced the idea of not letting it get you frustrated. Thanks
Your video was very helpful for my first 365 trigger swap.
As others mentioned, I especially appreciated your mention of the takedown bar retaining pin coming in two different colors.
Thank you.
Followed this video step by step just as it is presented made for an easy install. As you said, it should be watched through fully before attempting. Do that and it can be done in almost the same time as the video. Also, as you emphasize, don’t get frustrated when things don’t just drop into place. Thanks again for making easy work of what people fear doing.
PS Found a great medical RUclips showing open hear surgery. Gonna watch it at least 3 times first to be on the safe side before I give it a try. Kidding aside, thanks again for a job well done.
Great video. It saved me from having to send my gun to a gunsmith for reassembling it. The ety lever and slide catch install video also comes very handy. Thanks!
I love this guy! Got my slightly curved Armory Craft Trigger in with a breeze. You just can't get any more detailed and clearer than this tutorial.
Fantastic, in-depth video and explanation. As you said, it's always a great idea to take pictures as you go, it really helps and takes the guess work out of the task
OMG...you are a life saver. I added a manual safety to my Sig P365 XL (so wife can use) but had issues with the slide lock bar & slide lock. This video helped out so much to get them back in with ease. You gotta a new subscriber.
This is the best installation video on RUclips for this trigger. Very well done
Steve Brown haha. Thanks brother. Really appreciate the compliment!!!
With this instruction video I had no trouble installing a GG flat trigger. Very satisfying to do it on my own!!! To the range this week😃
Thomas Geisler that is good to hear. So much more satisfaction when you do it yourself. Good job. Have fun!!
Welcome to mid 2023 where this video is still relevant. Had me able to swap the x macro's flat trigger to the oem curved trigger in the time span of the video plus a few minutes to account for pausing. Thanks Sig Guy!
Still needed to view this again this morning installing the new AC trigger on my P365XL....Thank you again sir.
Thank you. Just worked on my first ever gun and your instructions were amazing. I did eff up the safety lever but I watched your other video and was able to get it all back in. A lot easier than I initially thought.
Nice work bud!!!! WINNING! 🤙🏼
Great tutorial. I was very hesitant installing a Sig 365 flat trigger. I watched this video 5 times prior to attempting trigger replacement. Took me less than an hour with fingers "crossed". IMHO this is the best video. I did other watch replacement trigger installs but again the step by step process was easy to follow. The close up installation detail photos were terrific thus my trigger Sig flat trigger install was successful!
Thank you Sig Guy! I ordered an Armory Craft trigger for my new P365 X Marco on Thursday and just finished installing it thanks to this video and your Deluxe DARK tool kit!
Hit me👆👆 up on telegram for your reward🎁
Just installed my Armory Craft trigger with the help of your video. Great step by step instructions! Thank you!
Jeff Napalan awesome. Great follow up post!! Thank you for sharing! 🤙🏼
VERY comprehensive!!! You made it nearly idiot proof. All the tutorials should be like this. I'm a Glock armorer and Colt armorer but new to Sig, so this was just what I needed. I tried following another guy on here, and he was running through it like he had a drill standing over him with a stop watch. Thank you
Excellent compliment! Thank you very much. I try to make it as simple as possible so the success for everybody is almost 100%! No matter who you are. Thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback. I really appreciate it. 🙏🏼
Thanks for doing this, it's going to make my installation much easier, once my trigger gets here...
Wow, nice presentation. Installing Armory Craft flat trigger was a piece of cake after watching this. Well done, thanks.
And thank you for the great compliment! Another success story. Love to hear it. Nice work sir!
Great video! I used it to install the flat trigger from Sig, now to the range!!
Great video. Thanks for explaining the step by step process. I found using the screwdriver you supply in the Dark kit with the notch made the trigger spring removal, and install super easy, since it traps the spring in the v groove. Thank you for selling your tool kits.
Well there ya go! Nice idea. Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate the feed back bud and thank you for your support. 🙏🏼
Thanks for tutorial! I was able to follow this video and finished the installation without any issues. Great job! Easier than I thought. I do have the manual safety. For those with manual safety, the installation is no difference. Actually make it easier. When you try to loose safety pin without going too far. The safety lever stop you going too far and keep everything in place. Make it easier!!
Awesome! Ya I was wondering about that. My trigger in on it's way!! 🤘
Great video. Followed it along and installed a new Sig flat trigger. My pistol has the thumb safety. I found that the safety will not let you pull the two step pin out too far. At the same time the lower step becomes even with the frame, the pin makes contact with the safety lever. Otherwise went exactly as viewed.
20 mins! Done and done!
Watched it once Thru and then went for a day later
I was really pleased with the takedown safety bar dropping into place relatively easy. At first I was under the impression the bar had to be sort of bent up (I know that’s not what you meant) behind the slide lock to get into the notch but it was more a matter of just moving the bar around on the trigger end to get it to drop into place. That was the only part where I was a little confused but of course the video was masterfully crafted and gave me exactly what I needed to do this job myself. Another gun mod successfully accomplished by a dude with very rudimentary skills.
Thanks internet!
And thank you sir!
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Oh and thank you for the quick shipping and good prices on my trigger and mag guts! Really impressed with the magguts product
I’ll be ordering more soon from ya
*Sig Sauer Guy*
I found if I took a skinny panhead screw driver and ground an 1/8 Notch in the blade . It makes taking out and re-installing the trigger spring a 2 second job : Just sharing
I know this is an old video, but I wanted to say thank you brother! That takedown lever bar fell out on my XL and getting it all back together was giving me fits.
This Sig Guy video... still helping people out after three years. Thanks.
Funny thing is there is a newer better video than this one. Yet this one gets all the love. Lol. Thanks for watching bud.
Being a Sig fan, your videos have helped me with my P320's and now tge P365. Very detailed and easy to follow tutorials.
Perfect! Thank you very much for the compliment. Reward is when others can do it on their own. 🤙🏼
Just got my trigger and shirt today, thank you for this video. Fastest 23 minutes and 21 seconds ever.
Many, many, many huge thanks for you doing this and the companion video on the slide catch lever...I could not have accomplished this without your video. Thanks again.
Mel and Julie Miller anytime my friend. Thanks for the kind words. Congrats!!
I used a micro flat head screw driver instead when installing the safety bar after several attempts got it on one try following your instructions. Great video. Safety bar was the only difficulty I came across
Eddie B agree. It either goes in easily or is a pain in the butt.
Thank you so much for this video. I watched a couple of others that weren't very precise or clear. After watching your video I had the trigger in and my gun back together in about 20 minutes, no problems at all.
Awesome! Nice work brother. Thank you for the compliment also! 🙏🏼
Tremendous instructional video paying attention to details and anticipating problems. Thank you!
Thank you for making the upgrade possible through your awesome tutorial. I installed my flat trigger today thanks to your help.
This video is spot on. You made this install easy. Thank you sir!
Thank you for the great tutorial. I watched it twice and swapped out my trigger in less than ten minutes.
Hardy Swinson another success! That’s awesome. If you are in the discussion only 365 group on FB post them pics!
Great video! Just helped me install the Sig factory flat trigger. Saved me $50.00 the gunsmith wanted to charge me to do it. Thanks again!
Thanks for the video, I took my time, paused the video at each step and everything fell right into place.
Today I followed this guide step-by-step to install a new trigger and it went perfectly, thanks!
This helped me tremendously! Thanks for making it so clear and concise.
This is one of the best instructional videos I've ever seen. Very well done. Thanks. I just replaced my buddies macro trigger in about 15 minutes from takedown. Plus learned the guts so I got something out of it too.
I want that Macro...
This is an oldie but still very popular. I’ve done an updated video as well. Check it out if you want. Perhaps an easier method is used. Thank you very much for the compliment. I really appreciate it.
@@SigGuy Yeah I saw that one too. Sorry to keep going but I'm a former technical trainer & technical writer for x-ray systems & dude your overall method is the best I've ever seen. Out of curiosity, do you have a technical troubleshooting background?
Thank you so much, i was able to replace my original p365 trigger to install a flat nickel trigger with the help of your video.
Thanks for the video! Watched it once all the way through to get an idea of the steps, then a second time while installing my oem Sig flat trigger. I got lucky...everything fell back into place on the first try.
Just bought a P365 today, I want to change to a flat trigger because I prefer them. This video is going in to the Sig list. Thank you for the excellent video!
Thank you very much for the compliment and good luck sir! You’ve got this!
Awesome video tutorial. It encouraged me to order a flat trigger from Sig for my soon to arrive P365. Thank you Sir!
Oh, and I almost forgot. I also ordered a P365 cleaning mat as well. :)
I don't know if you still monitor the comments in this video, but I still wanted to thank you for posting it. I just successfully changed my OEM P365 trigger out for one of Sig's flat triggers using your video. That little trick you did with the pick to get the take-down bar back into the slot was masterful and allowed me to get it back in place in less than a minute.
Your overview of how the parts fit and interact made it all that much easier.
Thank you for a great video!
Yes sir I still monitor comments. Thank you very much for the compliment and congratulations on getting your trigger installed. I have changed my process a little bit as you can see in the updated video I have on here. Both will get the job done e though. Again thank you. Have a great weekend.
I really like your tutorial video. I like the close up stills of a part. Great work! Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave great feedback. I appreciate it. 🙏🏼
Bought a new P365 Spector Comp wanted gold trigger, called two gunsmith said it would take 2 weeks to install. Thanks to this video I did it in 40 minutes! Really appreciate your help worked great. Thank you so much!
Excellent! Much more satisfying when you are able to do it yourself. Saving $$$ is a nice as well! Nice work! 👌
Thank you, had a fast and easy install because of this video.
I just installed the AC mag release I purchased from you and it’s awesome. I just got my XL and I can’t stop tinkering. I’ve also done a Sig LXG module, Holosun 407k, a couple 15 round mags and I just ordered a copper True Precision threaded barrel. I’m here to see if I want to mess with the trigger so thanks for all the great content.
Excellent!!! Nice work. Funny most do the trigger first! You’ve got this.
You made this project easier than I expected. Love the new look. Thank you from Seattle
Pistolpeter 1911 awesome!! Thank you very much for the compliment!
Oh yeah, I install mines and I went step-by-step on your video, lol, now I just need to get to the range.
Great video!!! Thanks for the step-by-step procedure and explanations. Like what you said, 'make sure you have a lot of patience if the parts don't match up instantly'. I have to do the installation of take down lever about five times :)
Renato Felias but you were successful! I’m willing to bet next time is a lot smoother for you. Nice work sir!
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC VIDEO. Excellent quality. Patient and detailed explanations. This made it super easy for me to install my AC P365 flat trigger. Thank You!!!
Awesome. So good to hear all the success stories. Thank you for the great compliment sir. Appreciate it very much.
Great video, made my installation flawless….and thanks for talking me down off the ledge with the last step of the takedown lever…that took me about 5 minutes. 😎
Thank you sir for the compliment and congrats on getting it taken care of!
Great video, I have the flat trigger coming in the mail Friday so I will be putting it in, I watch it twice but I will watch it a few more times and when I start on putting it in I will bring this video up and do it step-by-step, thanks.
Thought the take down lever was gonna be the death of me and my wife, but we finally managed to get it! Thank you!
I installed with no issues and I had fun while at it, I was actually sad to finish, I kind of want to re-install it all over again. Thanks for your help.
Haha. That’s awesome. A solid reason to BUY ANOTHER 365! ❤️
Awesome
Just finished installing my flat trigger.
This video was perfect! Great advice to watch all the way through and to be patient instead of forcing it 👏🏾
just installed my Armory Craft Sig Sauer flat trigger. Could not have done this without your video. Thanks from Long Island!!
Good to hear! I’m glad it was helpful. You deserve all the credit though! 🤙🏼
Great video! I never would have figured it out without it. THANKS ALOT!!
Thanks Sig Guy, very informative, I got my delivery in today and installed perfectly.
Best "how to" video on the install of the flat trigger. Excellent. Thank you for your help
Kevin Williams excellent compliment! Thank you sir. I really appreciate that. 👍🏼
This channel is great, I just switched the extended slide release & a curved trigger into my xmacro. Thank you!
Thank you very much for the compliment and good work out of you! 🤙🏼
Appreciate the video, just fished the install and all went smoothly thanks to your in depth directions. Thanks
Randy Sap good to hear. Thank you for the compliment sir.
Very through well spoken video. Took the worry out of me taking mine down. Thanks!
Thank you for this video. Now I feel comfortable buying the AC trigger and putting it in myself. Great vid!
Excellent!!! Make sure you check out my website sigguy.com. Tons of armory Craft as well as other manufacture upgrades for SIGs on there. Thank you for the compliment.
Great video, man. Watched it twice before installing a red flat AC trigger. Couldn't have gone any smoother. Love the detail of your videos. I also installed a sniper grey and now have a Titanium grey grip module. I have the manual safety but the install of the trigger was basically the same. Thanks for a great video!
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Excellent!!!!! Awesome color selection also! My favorite. Well done sir! 👌🏼👍🏼🤙🏼
Thanks for the video. Best one I found on the trigger install. Just put the flat trigger in my P365 so I have the same set up on that and my xl.
Thank you very much for the compliment and good job! The funny thing is, I have redone this video to a more current better version in my opinion yet this is the one that gets all the views lol.
@@SigGuy I guess the algorithm finds this one first lol. Incredibly helpful even if it wasn't as good as the new one lol.
Got my e-mail today 6-8-2019 that my trigger has been shipped, I ordered it after watching your video 4-13-2019, such a high demand for their trigger and Armory Craft kept me updated the whole time.
Larry Baker awesome!!! Can’t wait to see it installed!
Great videos my friend! Had my flat trigger installed in 15 minutes. Thanks again.
Doug Johnson damn. That’s quick! Nice work bud!
@@SigGuy could not have done it without you..thanks again
Thanks, I have a flat trigger coming, this will make it much easier installing it..
Wow, now that's a well done instructional video. Thanks so much for doing this.
Good video, I didn’t have any issues installing my new trigger after watching this. If you have some level of mechanical knowledge/dexterity it’s not a challenge at all.
