Looking back on my life now, I think of balding as the least thing I need to worry about. I now just accept it and wouldn't worry if I lost every hair follicle on my body. But we are of course all different and have different feelings about things. Admittedly, balding at 16 is rough compared to balding when above 30s and beyond.
@@ancientwonder7812 I think at your age (just my opinion), maybe going for a 1 or a zero hair cut might suit best. If you're feeling more adventurous you could start rocking a shaved head. I do both, depending on how I feel at the time. It seems to me that for most guys either seems to work well. In the end, it has to be a personal choice. Remember, at 16, you might get more comments from people being shaved than having a crewcut. I'm now in my sixties so don't care about people's opinions. I will even joke about it myself. Beat them with better humour and they become numb and harmless. And you become bullet proof. Stay strong and good luck with whatever you choose!
@@NorsePJ thank you, there's no one to talk to when it comes to this kind of thing, iam gonna rock a 0 probably iam sick and tired of constantly looking in the mirror and hating myself. Thank you for the advice
@@ancientwonder7812 I started thining at 16 too, this is what worked for me, no hats or caps or anything of the type on my head (only helmets when I ride bikes and as soon as I finish i take it off), no gels or sprays either or any chemical whatsoever, shower everyday no exceptions, hot shower and then finish with really cold water, let your scalp breath/ventilate, if you have a stay at home weekend let your scalp rest, don't comb your hair the whole weekend, let it be, try to keep you hands away from it, your hands are greasy most of the times, grease or oils are big no no. Always buy different shampoos, good quality brands of course but different types so your scalp doesn't get used to a single type, this will help your scalp stay "challenged" and therefore strong, if you decide to cut it short, don't shave it off completely clean, if you do some hairs will come out again but way thiner or they won't come back at all. Now, the psychological side... I give credit of this to my parents, my dad is completely bald, he has like 1 inch left behind his head, my granddad was the same, both my mom and dad told me since little "you will be bald when you grow up, there is nothing you can do, but it doesn't matter", so I grew up with that mentality, I cared when it started thining for a couple of years but then I gave up and I felt completely free. I joked about it, my friends had nicknames for me about it (some friends who are completely bald now btw), everytime I got a new girlfriend I would joke "glad we are together now, since I only have like 3 weeks of hair left" all of them laughed and said that they didn't care. Just as the other commenter said, don't worry about what people think. I turned 40 this year, my hairline is probably half inch further back compared to when I was 16, I have a tiny scar which has served me as a metric. My younger brother is now bald, he grew up partying and drinking a lot, me on the other hand always slept early and I drink socially, so I would say that helped me too. Hair also grows back, we are not dogs who regrow fur every year, but we are creatures from nature who have a biological need for hair in their bodies at the end of the day, there is some sort of cycle, if you see your hair thinning or falling one day don't worry too much a few months down the line you will notice it is stronger and thicker relatively and then thin again, and so on. If you are at the age of looks and can grow a beard, do it, beard helps a lot to have a balanced amount of skin on your face, in other words if your forehead is growing or big you can compensate with a nice looking beard.
I just discovered this channel last night, because my hair has been thinning since 17 (I am 18 now) I have been researching hair growth creams but then I just realized that I can just shave it all off and move on. I still haven't shaved it yet but now I want to go bald
Don’t shave instead get on finsasteride to stop your hairloss and keep the hair you currently have. Then when you have enough money you can get a hair transplant in your 20s. Im doing this and I have kept 95% of my hair just a little thinning in my temples and I will fill those temples with a transplant once im 20.
Man when I was 15 signs of baldness started happening to me and Ofc I never took it seriously, by the age of 20 my hair just looked so bad and added like 20 years on me. Tried to even do procedures such as prp or prb (I forgot the right one) nothing worked. I decided to just stick to being bald and honestly it’s probably one of my best decisions being able to own it and just take that step of letting go of your hair can be so positive for yourself and give you the confidence you need to do the things you’ve always wanted. Bald and proud and massive respect to all the brothers out there, you’re not alone we can own it!

@@articulatemonkey6667 Amazing beyond words. I've been taking it for around a year now. My hairline came back a good inch a half, maybe more. And my hair dentisy on top improved to basically "normal" levels. I go outside and completely forget I was ever losing my hair until something reminds me. I get compliments off people about my long curly hair which I now have and absolutely love. My only regret is I didn't start this stuff when I was 18! Side effects? I'm on antidepressants etc which fuck you up sexually so I can't comment there. Maybe slower beard growth (no loss of density though!) but less chest/back hair.

I'm 22 and I lost a lot of my hair this year. At first it felt really weird and I didn't really notice the hairfall until someone pointed out. When I noticed it, I started to feel a lot insecure and very self conscious. Now I have two big semi circles in my temple area. If it gets any bigger I will shave my head. This channel is awesome. I have slightly longer hair but I might be balding in a few years since my crown kind of looks thinner recently. I shaved my head a month ago to see how I might look in the future and it doesn't look that bad, guess I will be rocking it :)
People started saying things about my hair thinning when I was like 20/21. That SINKING feeling is incomparable. I still just wear it super short, I don’t quite shave it yet because I have a weird head shape 😂 But I genuinely don’t try to hide it at all.
My great grandfather (dad family) was bald, my grandfather is bald. My dad is bald but still has some loose hairs in the crown and hairline. However, my grandfather from mom’s family, had a head full of thick hair. He had a lot for being 65. I never noticed I had my mature hairline basically since I was a child. I’m 20 and still have the same hairline I had when I was like 14. But it’s curious. When I was like 16-18 I started to drink, est junk food and sometimes I never slept well. I wasn’t receiding but my hair became thinner. Some friends and classmated noticed that and told me “you’re going bald bro” “you’re thinning”. Then I changed my lifestyle, I was concerned about my thinning. I started working out more frequently, I stopped eating junk food and also try to sleep earlier. I’ve been improving these last 2 years. My hair is thicker and my hairline’s noticeable better even than when I was younger. I must say, I hope I inherited genetics from my maternal grandfather because my height and ear size are almost like his. I really hope I don’t go bald in my 20’s.
@@lordwiadro83 I still have a head full of hair. Thick hair. My hairline is still as it was when I was like 15. When I’m really busy, me hair never goes through my mind. I might shave it off sometime, If my hairline goes worse.
@@starmember132 I understand that. I have some temples (Norwood 2) but I also have them since longer time now (can’t tell if I had them already as kid cause I always had longer hair). I‘m 23 now and I’m doing photos of my hair since summer of last year and nothing changed since then. Also my hairdresser told me that I have a lot of hair, so hopefully that’s true. But it’s highly potentially in my genes. Everyone in my family is balding. My father’s father started balding in his 70s which is acceptable and he also had temples in a very early age. My father is balding too but very slow and his hair still looks decent in his mid 50s but you can see the skin at the back and from top. But if you look into his face he still has a solid hairstyle. I’m hoping I have my father’s father hair genetics.

Thank you for sharing your hair journey. Without exception, guys look so much better when you just shave it vs keeping the thinning hair and receding hairline
I just love he says "I would even wear it in the house", meanwhile, cut to a picture of him posing with what is probably his dad, clearly with plenty of thinning hair XD can't outrun genetics! But it definitely is a mourning process, for a lot of guys. It's hard to wrap around the notion that losing your hair is "normal", it's usually associated with sicknesses like cancer and chemotherapy...not just getting older.

I used ti be a big fan of hats when I started balding, the funny thing about it it's that people used to say: "Hey, you wear hat all the time, that's the reason you're balding, because you scalp can't breath." Now I still have a collection of hats, but I only wear them sometimes in the summer.
Everyone's different, but I was balding at age 16 and went on finasteride at age 20. It worked super well for me and I just went on dutasteride a month ago and can see my hair getting thicker already. I've been on finasteride for 7 years with 0 side effects. It's worth a try and anyone who says it'll harm your erection or libido had that happen due to a placebo predisposition to thinking it'll negatively affect them. I also currently have a full head of hair with minor thin spots that started to thin when I was 16-18ish.
As a man who is very attracted to older men (30s-40s), the way his thinning hair looks is very, very sexy to me. He's also an attractive man overall, so he pulls it off well. To guys with thinning and receding hair, trust me, there's someone for you.
Used minoxidil for 2 months and my skin was really bad, major dandruff and my skin aged a lot, and also got red marks on my scalp, but everyone is different so a try won't hurt

I decided to shave my head at 25 years old when I wasn't even balding , at 27 I lived for 5 years in hare krishna temples where you're supposed to be shaved up anyway then a couple years ago I noticed that after growing hair for a few weeks I had a pattern of baldness beginning so I went ' oh well never mind , as I was ' I went straight back into shaving head like completely normal again not bothered as that's what I've been use to for so long '
I feel greatfull for having hair..well i am only 26. But seeing you getting bald at like 21 makes me nervous. My family on both sides, from my mother and from my father have not had this problem as far as i am aware so i hope i am safe. I wish i had your beard though. Ya know, nobody is perfect, we all have our flaws.
Nice Mo, that suits him. I shaved all my hair off around COVID time and rocked that for a couple years, but stopped bothering to shave and now I have fairly long to medium length hair, and turns out my hair loss isn’t that bad, just some thinning a bit in the horse shoe areas and the back but it’s not so bad so I just rock it. Sometimes I forget how self conscious I was years ago, some people forget I shaved my head and was “bald” ever since I started taking oral finasteride. It at least gave me the confidence to stop taking heaps of supplements and doing heaps of shit to keep my hair, and for that reason I do recommend trying to grow it back and just let the hair grow.
I’m in my teens and my hair is starting to thin out. It feels like shit when you know that other people can see your scalp. It’s not thin enough to just go bald but I’d have to see a doctor to know if it is reversible. I don’t wish this on any man.
It is mostly reversible if you premptively take the steps necessary. Finasteride and hair transplant is an option as well. Just don't wait too long. Keep your head up, man. Don't let your hair define you. Your loved ones will not care, and strangers don't actually care either.
I was in denial for a while too. Oh it must be the lighting. Oh it's just how my hair naturally separates. Oh it must be this and it must be there. Until it slowly sinks in that your simply going bald. Then once you shave it, you're free and a load is lifted off your shoulders.
Its never too late. Everyone should make their research ( peer reviewed) on fin. and minoxidil. Just be proactive. Stressing about balding can impact one’s life, way more than the potential ( really low) side effects of hair loss drugs.
@@shshhdschxbsh3063 That's me right there. As long as I can keep my hair while using Fin + Minox, which just like you pointed out have a very low rate of side effects, I'll keep taking them. I've been on both for 8 months now and have even seen some regrowth, which happens to a large portion of men who start taking/using both. So yeah, each person can choose their own path, but it's always nice to know about all the options that are out there. Cause while you might be ok with being bald, it could be a huge burden to the next guy. So yeah, I'd heavily encourage every man to do their research!
No thank you, I'm not going to mess with my hormones for the rest of my life since the stuff we eat and drink messes it up as it is. We're all vain but everyone should know to what degree he is willing to take it.

When I met my dad in my 30s he had a full head of hair. My moms dad had a full head of hair . So I never knew where my hair loss came from . Now I’m way over it & love shaving my head . You have nice head shape to have a bald shave head 🎉
Not trying to be disrespectful but a lot of people don’t know a side effect of cocaine use is hair lose every male I know that used it is loosing hair in some way shape or form
And your uncles ? There is the chance you got it from your grandmas. Nonetheless it’s good you overcame it.
@@williamconto6977 my dad was adopted so he never really knew who his parents were . So I assume it came from one his biological parents or grandparents
may I ask how you met your dad in your 30's, if it's not too personal. cheers

*Totally DOPE* !
Looking back on my life now, I think of balding as the least thing I need to worry about. I now just accept it and wouldn't worry if I lost every hair follicle on my body. But we are of course all different and have different feelings about things. Admittedly, balding at 16 is rough compared to balding when above 30s and beyond.
iam 16 and i have huge thinning in the middle with a receeded hairline, how did you manage this? and should i just go bald at 16?
@@ancientwonder7812 No worries! Take care and rock on. Cheers from Sydney! 🙃
Bro, bald you looks million bucks. You have a great personality.
I just discovered this channel last night, because my hair has been thinning since 17 (I am 18 now) I have been researching hair growth creams but then I just realized that I can just shave it all off and move on. I still haven't shaved it yet but now I want to go bald
Do it, ...grab shaving foam, grab a razor blade and set yourself Free.
i’m 18 too man. i want to shave it too i’m hella insecure bc of my shit hairline lol
You didn't even try the only things that do actually work lol
For me, it started slowly at the age of 16, now I'm 22 and feel comfortable with my bald head. At such an "early" age, of course, you are extremely speechless, but you get used to it
Brother, you have helped others, who are not as comfortable as you. Thanks for sharing, your story.
Man, because of your content, i actually shave my head.. Before i was too insecure to go bald, but the way my hair looking and the hairline, man, i really need to do it.. Then boom, i did it and felt so good. It actually look good on me. So thanks bro,. A lot!

Great mustache ! 🥳
That’s an amazing friend. Shaved his head with him. May god bless their souls
I’m 26 and I’m probably a couple weeks away from shaving it. Thanks for this!!!
The shaved head + mustache combo is great, stylish and kingly!
I decided to fight my hair loss with Dutasteride. But I still watch this channel as I like to see men regaining their self confidence. :)
How’s dutasteride going for you? I’m thinking of switching to it from finasteride but I’m worried about side effects
@@aspiealpaca1917 I'm 19 just started on fin thought its worth a try now and Id rather move on to the next step of shaving it all off later on in life not rn, its not even terrible now but I have receded at the temples a fair bit and I want to tackle that now, while its still somewhat early days

mpb started around 19 for me and I held out until 24 before buzzing my head after seeing my hair was thinning in the back as well. The boost in confidence I got surprised me honestly.
Same, it was very slight first and now it's thinning on top. Doesn't look bald but when it gets long it doesn't look right so I just buzz it off.

Agostino, you as bald - looks so great! MUCH better than with hair, really!
Thank you for the confidence.

I still just wear it super short, I don’t quite shave it yet because I have a weird head shape 😂
But I genuinely don’t try to hide it at all.

I done a buzz cut bcoz of this channel. It has given me motivation to do that.
Welcome brother 🤝
Just shave it all off. No hair no stress.
Could have been temporarly TE but thats not the same as male-patternbaldness wich is solely genetics. If it would come down to only being healthy - why did harry or the guy in this video went bald? Both clearly are mega fit dudes.
You won’t know until your late 20s

Thank you for sharing your hair journey. Without exception, guys look so much better when you just shave it vs keeping the thinning hair and receding hairline

Very relatable, Im a bald dude with hundreds of top-of-the-head videos aswell. 😂
Thanks for these videos bro
My pleasure

I used ti be a big fan of hats when I started balding, the funny thing about it it's that people used to say: "Hey, you wear hat all the time, that's the reason you're balding, because you scalp can't breath." Now I still have a collection of hats, but I only wear them sometimes in the summer.
Lookin good bro.. bald and proud!
I've been putting it off for months but I think it's time to finally try

Nice Mo, that suits him.
I shaved all my hair off around COVID time and rocked that for a couple years, but stopped bothering to shave and now I have fairly long to medium length hair, and turns out my hair loss isn’t that bad, just some thinning a bit in the horse shoe areas and the back but it’s not so bad so I just rock it.
Sometimes I forget how self conscious I was years ago, some people forget I shaved my head and was “bald” ever since I started taking oral finasteride. It at least gave me the confidence to stop taking heaps of supplements and doing heaps of shit to keep my hair, and for that reason I do recommend trying to grow it back and just let the hair grow.
thanks. gonna do this too. how much mg of fin you taking? if u dont mind me asking?
You look great bald bro and de mustache also.

I love that mustache dude
Dude he looks so good without hair. He was born to rock bald
Its never too late. Everyone should make their research ( peer reviewed) on fin. and minoxidil. Just be proactive. Stressing about balding can impact one’s life, way more than the potential ( really low) side effects of hair loss drugs.
Do you think the path this man chose was wrong?
No, all the power to him! But not all people can embrace going bald…
