Fascinating. I wish you were also a Spanish proficient editor. I've been writing my dream novel for the last two years… would appreciate someone like you to edit it.
@@ryanhallwrites thanks for your response. You know, I’ve been thinking lately that it may be possible to find someone, an English writer who would be willing to do some sort of editing of a translated novel. My English is good enough to write most things, even a science masters thesis for a geology project more than 20 years ago. So, the idea is that I put the novel into English, then someone with the appropriate skills set will edit it. It would be a lot of work for me though, to grasp all the literary elements like voice, metaphoric stuff, etc. But it may be worthwhile. What do you think?
I disagree with the last one: "Never dumb down your writing". I wrote and published five SF-novels with very convoluted plots and story details. When I sat down to write my sixth book I fought my inner nerd and deliberately made it much simpler, and it became my best book. The language and length was the same, I just stopped boring my readers with complexity for it's own sake.
This was a huge help. I'm shocked to see such less subscribers even after such good content. What shocked me more is that you keep uploading since years even after having just plenty of views. How do u do it ? What keeps u motivated ?
Very interesting. Thank You.

Yeah I'm afraid I'm English only. My knowledge of Spanish is limited to two years of Spanish I took in College...a long time ago.

To be fair, this channel has been rather dormant for years. I finally decided to bring it back. Keep watching and keep coming back!
Good content.
Your English teacher’s advice about “skirts” is gross. I assume he said this nugget of advice to young girls too. Ick.
