I think it would be helpful to all folks to realize that the places of Sheol, Gehenna, Hades, and Tartarus, are the only places in the Bible where the name is changed to the all-purpose place of Hell. Translators did not change the other names of places in the Bible. So, why did they change these? They made a bad hermeneutical decision by breaking the very rules of translation. They meant to clarify but instead, conflated definite places to just one place. This was the very thing that started a 15 year search to learn all about the biblical truth regarding the afterlife.
