    I'm approaching 30k on mine and was getting ready for it so this helps a lot! Did you end up ordering the gaskets from Subaru directly? Thanks in advance!

    what's the order of operations for flushing the clutch fluid? I think you say to open the bleeder valve then push in the clutch? And I guess while it's pushed in you close the valve then pull up the clutch pedal? and repeat?

    Are you sure thants how you check the oil dipstick? One side is always gonna be high and the other side is the low where you read the oil level. Thats what it says on the manual

      Yep. You are right, the video missed that.
      Also for the love of god use a funnel for the brake fluid you don’t want to spill that everywhere. I cringed when he was filling up the clutch reservoir.
      Either way, pretty decent video touched base on everything needed.

      You are completely right. I like to overfill mine slightly. I’d recommend following the manufacturer’s guide.

    what happened that made you swap the pcv valve out? is that a part of routine maintenance?

    • @Catalyst4k
      @Catalyst4k  2 месяца назад

      Yes, it's recommended to replace them as they can get gummed up with oil over time. Just a little preventative maintenance.

    Do you empty the oil catch can on the driver's side? Is the fluid as much as the other side?

    • @Catalyst4k
      @Catalyst4k  Месяц назад

      I did, it’s not much that gets caught in there. Really just the slightest bit.

    Some of these checklists are completely unnecessary. If you are using your car on a track, and or drifting etc, anything that is pushing your car to it's limits, okay maybe then. But if you are just a every day driver and not trying to audition for a Fast and the Furious movie, then oil and oil filter change are the only things you need to focus on. Sure check the fluid levels for what's "normal" under the hood, air filter as well, but the rest is pretty extreme.
